Exactly as planned...punctual, professional and price was great!

DuctMedic confirmed their appointment and gave me an estimated time of arrival. They called again on the date of the appointment letting me know that they were on their way (a little earlier than scheduled). Once there, like the other reviews, they preformed a pre-test and post-test of the vent to ensure that they were able to improve dryer performance. My vent had 12 years of lint build up and I now sleep better at night knowing that it has been cleaned. They cleaned up following their service and were very professional. We also had asked for an estimate of having our vents cleaned and found it to be favorable as well.

I contacted DuctMedic to get my dryer vent cleaned - hadn't been cleaned since house was built (approx. 6 years ago). I called them based on other reviews in AngiesList and they were very professional and friendly on the phone - giving me the price as well as walking me through what they do as part of the dryer vent cleaning service. When it came to my appointment, they called before arriving to let me know their location, were professional and got right to business. When completed, they let me know how much was emptied out of the vent (actually very little) and the results from testing the vent before and after the cleaning. I liked that they were upfront to recognize that the vent didn't actually need much cleaning versus feeling like they needed to give me some news to justify paying for the service. I'm quite relieved that we've had little build-up and I can stop worrying about the dryer vent for at least another 6-8 years. I was very pleased with their service. The only reason that I rate the price at and quot;Band quot; is because I would have liked the service to have been less expensive - but I'd rather pay for quality work with a reputable vendor rather than cheaper but slip-shod work. I would not hesitate to use DuctMedic again.

My experience with this service provider was teriffic. They called the morning of the service (today) to confirm they were coming. They arrived on time and after introductions of the two persons ( one was an owner) doing the work they set to their tasks. It was rainy and I was concerned about bringing debris into the house. No problem! They were in and out several times but each and every time they put on clean booties over their wet boots when entering the house. They explained every step of what they were doing and allowed me to observe the use of their equipment and explained how it worked. Our washer / dryer space was filthy from dryer lint that had escaped our vent pipe and distributed everywhere. To my surprise they cleaned the space as part of their service. Their work included pulling out my washer /dryer unit enough to work behind, removing an old vent hookup I had and installing a new. They also visually checked the pipe as it ran under the crawl space to see if it was attached correctly. Then, from outside, they snaked a compressed air devise thru the dryer vent and forced the clog -causing debris outside, filling two bags for disposal. They took readings of air pressure in the pipe. Ours started somewhere aroung 375 cfm and ended , after their work, at over 1000cfm which was a target reading for good air flow. Air temperature after servicing was a good 100F+, again a target reading showing good functionality of the dryers exiting air. They cleaned up after themselves and carted the debris away. Most importantly, I felt I could trust them and that trust does not seem to have been misplaced. In summary, they were everything you wish a service provider to be.

Great. No problems. Justin Kinsey is the business owner, a young father of two boys. High energy, customer-oriented. Visited first to assess the project; explained thoroughly the process, the expectations and the cost. Worked diligently with me to schedule appointment. Brought two helpers; all three very pleasant and personable. Showed up promptly. Worked just under 4 hours as promised. Cleaned up well afterward. I am not fond of the price (12 man hours / $700 = $58.33/hour x 3), but he's got equipment, travel and other overhead to consider, not to mention profit. I suggested a better camera would show off his results better. My 25yo house had never had the service performed. He found gobs of insulation found discarded in one duct from original construction. Personally, I think the service is great for family with allergies or other respiratory issues, and as routine maintenance perhaps every 10 years, especially here in the Shenandoah Valley. Otherwise, service may have questionable cost-benefit. But that's no fault of Mr. Kinsey, as he met all expectations with friendly and expert, superior service.

I bought a house that had severe air flow problems. A very dirty duct system with a distinct smell of some kind. They remedied this in addition to cleaning my dryer vent at no extra cost.

They were great. They were timely, professional, and seemed to do a very thorough job.

When Mr. Kinsey came to do the estimate, he was prompt and courteous. He examined all the ducts, took some photos inside the ducts, and we arranged for a service date the following week. He said it would take 2 men for 4-5 hours and cost $500. He said he would also clean our very long dryer duct at no extra charge. They arrived to do the work on time, having telephoned twice to confirm. They had a large air compressor in the back of their truck and brought a very large vacuum machine into the basement. They took before and after pictures of all the duct work; and blew forced air into the ducts while drawing it into the vacuum. They cleaned all of the air vents and took great pains to no blow dust around the house. When they were finished, they swept all the floors with a standard vacuum cleaner. I was very pleased with the whole operation. It was very professional.
