First time we have cleaned out our dryer vent since we built our house 2-1/2 years ago, and it was a good thing to do. DuctMedic had good reviews on Angie's List, so I made the call. It was the right decision. They gave me a price quote over the phone, and AJ & Trent arrived on time and made quick work of the job. Very professional, and nice, and I'm pleased with the job they did. Will definitely use them again, and recommend them to my neighbors

We had been told by another vendor that we needed our ducts cleaned, but we wanted to get other bids on that service first. Justin K. from DuctMedic came out, took pictures of our ducts, showing them to us and comparing our ducts to pictures of what actually dirty ducts look like. He explained everything thoroughly, concluding that ours didn't need cleaning! He could have charged us lots just to make the money, but chose to be honest instead. So refreshingly professional. We will definitely call them when we *do* need to have this work done.

The guy that came out to do the assessment was very informative and very knowledgeable and he was very willing to share that information. When they came out to my home they did an exceptional job. They were here for about 4 hours and did a great job! I would definitely recommend them!

Justin said that it would be a waste of my money to hire DuctMedic because the state of the ductwork was beyond repair. Nevertheless he crawled around and took pictures to share with my heating contractor. There was no charge, and it was a pleasure to have an assessment and an informed opinion from such a knowledgeable, honest and honorable service provider. He'd be first on my list to contact when I need him.

This went fine and I felt they were so honest about what was needed. Saying the system was in great shape. They are a very honest company and want to do the best for people and not sell something that is unnecessary. They know what they are doing for sure.

We hired Duct Medic to clean our dryer vent and inspect our air ducts in our new home. Duct Medic was prompt, efficient, and very helpful. They thoroughly inspected the air ducts and honestly advised that we didn't need a cleaning at this time, but provided an estimate in case we still wanted the work done before moving in. The estimate was for $800 on a 300sq. ft. house. Our dryer vent was external, but we knew from our home inspector that it was in dire need of cleaning. Duct Medic cleaned the dryer vent, made the vent tubing more efficient/shorter by replacing some and charged us only for a $99.00 service call instead of the full dryer vent cleaning price given that it was an external vent. We will definitely use Duct Medic again when we get our whole duct system cleaned.

Two weeks ago we contacted DuctMedic in Charlottesville, VA, 1728 Seminole Trail Charlottesville, Va, 22901 Phone: (434) 985-3828, requesting a bid to clean my home's ductwork. Our home was built in 1975 and we have occupied the residence for the past 12 years. We were in the process of replacing our A/C unit, a 30 year-old natural gas furnace and a gas water heater and wanted to coordinate the duck cleaning with the furnace replacement. We suspect that the ducts have never been cleaned since the home was built. Wes Ammons from DuctMedic replied to our request and came to our home on time and inspected the job site to prepare a bid. The following day we received an email with a bid which we considered to be a fair price for the services contracted for. We accepted the bid and requested that DuctMedic coordinate the job with the furnace installers. Today the crew from DuctMedic arrived on time and spent nearly five hours cleaning the ductwork. The crew included my wife in the process showing her the before and after photos of the ductwork and showed her what was retrieved from the ducks. This crew was very courteous, cognizant of the areas where they worked in our home ensuring that their feet were booted to avoid carrying dirt and dust throughout our home. They did comment that we maintain a need and tidy home. However after 40 years and multiple owners, no telling what the condition of the ducks were. We are very pleased with DuctMedic. There are many charlatans and scams related to duct cleaning just Google the topic. My wife and I did significant research on the topic of duct cleaning and furnaces. We would highly recommend contacting them for duct and dryer vent cleaning services.

We have a neighbor who used DuctMedic to clean the ducts in their home and they raved about the excellent job. We live in an 18 year old home with two dogs so we felt we would benefit from having our ducts cleaned. We made an appointment with Mr. Justin Kinsey who came promptly at the appointed time. He was very professional and showed us pictures of the inside of our ducts that he took with his smartphone. He explained the cleaning process and provides us with what I felt was a very fair price, but to my surprise, he told us that we didn't need to clean our ducts at this time. He told us that the level of dust/debris was not enough to justify a cleaning - How refreshing. I commend Mr. Kinsey's professionalism and honesty to you.

Very pleased with DuctMedic. I first came across DuctMedic while I was renting an apartment. They serviced the unit and I was very impressed with their professionalism. I just recently purchased a home, where the ducts were in desperate need of cleaning. We are in the process of updating our HVAC system, and DuctMedic was always mentioned when I asked the HVAC vendors about duct cleaning firms. DuctMedic is slightly more expensive than other firms, but after seeing the before and after photos of their work, I'm certain that they did a complete job as promised... so their price is very much in line with the quality they deliver.

they did a great job showed me before and after pictures they found a bird nest about 8 foot inside the dryer vent line my line was like 90 percent blocked.they came on time did a great job cleaned any mess they made as they worked they were very knowledable about there work and very friendly.

We’re very pleased with the work DuctMedic did and would definitely recommend them to others looking for their ducts to be cleaned – we’ve already recommended them to at least 2 families since they were at the house. My wife and I had been in our house 3-4 months when Justin of DuctMedic came by and inspected our first floor and second floor ducts. He was on time, very professional and also very friendly. He spent time examining the ductwork and the returns and also examined our dryer venting hose/duct. It didn’t take long for us to realize he really knows his job and enjoys what he does. He pointed out that we had one bad section of ducting for our first floor that needed to be replaced and our first floor return had a fist-sized gap between the duct and register/pan allowing cool crawl space air to be ingested by the HVAC system. He recommended that we remove the house humidifier installed in the HVAC to ensure we had no mold growth or damage to our ducting caused by the extra humidity. He also recommended we replace our dryer duct – what he quoted is about what it would cost me to do it. What I did not expect was for him to look at the second floor system and say we did not need to clean it. He thought it might need some repairs based on how loose the runs off the trunk felt, but we should wait and see how it was when it got cold. It was refreshing for someone to not try and sell me work I did not need. He answered all the questions we had and never showed any frustration when answering some of our questions that I’m sure were redundant. Justin and the guys from DuctMedic came out a week or two later and cleaned our ducts thoroughly. Justin replaced our dryer duct and cleaned over 2 inches of lint out of register – our clothes dry in half the time now. The guys removed our rusted and dirty humidifier and associated rusted ducting to/from it, and systematically cleaned each run of ducting followed by the main trunk. I was even shown before and after pics. Justin repaired the large gap affecting the return duct which I’m sure improved our system’s ability to heat/cool air. As luck would have it, the guys were short on one type of insulation required now that the humidifier was gone – this would be more of a problem in the summer than in the cooler months we were heading into. Even so, Justin came by the next week and installed it in less than 15 minutes, and again, he was very pleasant to talk to and patiently answered everything we asked. After the cold weather really hit, we felt our upstairs was colder than it should be and 2 vents seemed to be carrying all the warm air. We emailed Justin and he came out to have a look. He checked all the 2nd floor ducting and verified the duct runs were actually attached at the main trunk – they were. He felt that when our older system needed to be replaced, we could have the HVAC guys do something to better balance the upstairs system, either by changing how the main trunk is positioned or by installing dampers as appropriate. He suggested that in the short term, we could partially close the 2 vents which forced air out the other registers. A simple solution? Sure, but it did help evenly warm the upstairs. The charge for that visit? Zero dollars. Again, how often does someone really do you a favor? Since then, Justin’s been a good source of information - by helping us better understand air flow in our home and since we’re new to the area, even recommending competent contractors for other work that needs to be done to the house.

If you need duct work, do not think twice, call DuctMedic. They do an excellent job. They are extremely polite, professional and honest. They will tell you exactly what you need to be done and what you do not need. These are rare qualities these days. After they completed the work I did not find a speck of dust in the area. They cleaned the work area thoroughly.
