Description of Work: We signed on for the maintenance programme and lawn cutting service to help us take care of our new lawn that wasn't in great shape from the get-go. Dos Amigos has advised us of different courses of action, which was helpful for us as new home owners. They've been helpful on the phone and in on-site meetings to discuss our situation, and have called back promptly the one time we had to leave a message. We're in line for the overseeding and aeration soon, and then hopefully next spring we'll have a nice lawn. From the services we've received since Spring, I'd recommend them without reservation.

Description of Work: Contacted vendor through Angie's List message. Received a prompt response and requested a quote. After several days with no response, I sent another message asking if they going to respond to my request for a quote. I received a fairly quick response with a quote based on MY estimate of what was needed. They never called or visited to determine what needed, or should, be done.

+ -1 moreI called Dos Amigos Landscaping and asked for an estimate on installing landscape lighting system (2.23.14). I was given an appointment for an associate to come to my home the next business day which was a Monday and give an estimate. Two professional men came to my home at appointed time. They educated me on the difference between halogen vs. LED lighting systems. I chose a LED system and Dos Amigos showed up on time and on schedule and installed my new system. I have a remote that allows me to control my lights from inside or outside. The Dos Amigos guys showed me how to operate my new lighting system and gave me their cell phone numbers to ensure that I could get in touch with them in case I had any questions.

+ 0 moreAs I mentioned above, Dos Amigos did the bush hog work I requested and even did more than I asked for. One of my concerns was that in the summer, snakes are quite common near my home. Since Dos Amigos and their Ventrac tractor were able to bush hog almost 100% of my areas, I no longer have to go out there with the snakes and fight mother nature.
Description of Work: I had used Dos Amigos previously to install a landscape lighting system. While their employees were at my house, I learned that Dos Amigos also did bush hog work. My issue is that I have some very steep slopes that have to be bush hogged as I live near the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a normal tractor WILL NOT WORK! Dos Amigos informed me that they utilized a Ventrac tractor which could mow very steep slopes. I called them and asked for an estimate which I received within four days. The crew came out and the bush hog was amazing! Not only did they bush hog the areas where I had asked them but they were also able to bush hog some other very steep areas that I had been weed eating before. Their work was very good and the best part is that I don't have to weed eat this area anymore.

Description of Work: They did some leaf and twig clearing. They also repaired the patio stones and re-leveled the patio. This was our second time using them. They did the work while we were away. Typically, they send 3-4 people.

+ -1 moreDos Amigos provides quality service and is responsive to inquiries. We contacted Dos Amigos for an estimate, and Matt Berry was at our the house the next day for a free estimate. Matt is very knowledgeable and eager to assist. Price was a little higher than another estimate we received, but the company's timeliness and work quality more than made up for the price difference with other companies. Dos Amigos sent out two men to our house at 9:00 a.m. and they worked until 5:00. They cleared the front and back yard of dead and fallen limbs, leaves, weeds, and dead plants. They did an outstanding job, and I would highly recommend Dos Amigos to anyone interested in lawn care and/or property cleanup.
Description of Work: Lawn care and property cleanup - mowed, edged, and trimmed lawn followed by surface blowing and weed control; leaf removal, tree trunk and debris hauling, and general cleanup services for the front and back yards. Lawn service (every 14 days): $45. Property cleanup (one-time service): $500.

He sent a guy out Wednesday, and by the time I got home in the afternoon, the grass was back in shape! We were impressed with their professionalism, promptness, and reasonable prices. We will definitely use them again!

They completed the first monthly mowing by August 31 and even mowed an area for us to park our truck when we visit our farmland. We are very pleased with their work. They are very professional and responsive.
Description of Work: We hired Dos Amigos to maintain the road frontage and fence line of farmland we own in Madison County Virginia, since we are absentee owners who live 3 hours away. Dos Amigos cleared weeds and mowed grass for about 800 feet of road frontage, cleared vines and weeds and mowed under about 800 feet of fence line, removed several small (< 6') trees and sprayed their stumps with herbicide, and cleared and sprayed a large area of high weeds and small trees. They also mow the road frontage once a month for an additional $75 per mow. The area mowed is about 800 feet by 40 feet and includes mowing under the fence and keeping the fence cleared of vines. Much of the mowing needs to be done with a string trimmer due to the steep slope of the land along the road.

+ -1 moreWent very well. Had someone else come out on a Thursday to give and estimate and I had to call on Monday and and leave a message asking for it. Called Dos Amigos Monday morning--they came out a couple of hours later gave an estimate, made suggestions and had their estimate that afternoon. Because of a job cancellation they were able to do the work the next day start to finish. Finally got the other company's estimate Monday evening. As of today, Thursday evening they never followed up to see if I received it or if I was intersted.

Description of Work: We engaged them to perform brush hogging, grass cutting, shrub bed weeding and shrub trimming as well as some herbicide treatment. The grass was very overgrown and needed a great deal of work to get into shape. Dos Amigos came, provided a estimate and communicated with us by email. And then undertook the work within 5 days! We continue to engage Dos Amigos to provide weekly lawn cutting.

They aerated the area, they cleaned all the leaves off, they picked up a bunch of limbs that were down and then they seeded. They are the only people who have done this but I felt like they did a good job. The prices were very fair. They were very quick to respond.
