Dos Amigos Landscaping & Grounds Management

Dos Amigos is a strong local business and has provided us with all of our lawn care services for the past 9 months. Mowing (excellent when on the grass, but mowed over set of matched hydrangeas and a complete bed of lavender around a mailbox-twice), blow (excellent), edging (very poor consistency), fertilization (excellent), weed prevention (average to poor, branch and debris removal (poor). Communication appeared to be strong, but there are many layers between the workers and the owner. These layers may explain the $1565 monthly fee they charged. Many salaries, but communication to the ones who actually do the work can sometimes not be as easily communicated, so the return on the fee, we found to be far from worth it. We could recommend them for large commercial projects, but not for homes, particularly homes with gardens in addition to lawns.

Very happy with the work they did. The walkway and patio look amazing. They got it done in a couple of weeks and the price was very reasonable. A couple of areas on the walkway were pooling water and they came right out and adjusted it/fixed it up. They are very responsive and professional. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

Fall 2017-Over and above a quality job. We hired Dos Amigos Landscaping to regrade a large, oddly shaped, sloping gravel driveway that had not been attended to in about 10 years. In addition to performing the re-graveling, the crew carefully plotted the drainage directions to ensure excess water went in the right direction. When the job was completed the crew collected all refuse and debris and even swept and hosed out the carport which had collected dust during the project. They also followed up to ensure everything had gone well for us when the job was completed. Will definitely call on Dos Amigos Landscaping for future work.

I received immediate responses by email, phone and not only a visit for a proposal, but the crew came the next day and did a great job. These guys rock!

very well, they were there when they said they would be there, for the price they quoted. i was very impressed. we even called them again in the spring to trim some crepe myrtles, they came as promised, did a good job and for the price they quoted.

Well, they were fairly busy, and initially couldn't come right away. But, when weather cooperated, they were responsive to the "urgency" of my glut of leaves -- and I was hoping they'd be gone before they were rain-soaked again and harder to remove. And, they came through. Sent a 4-man team, skilled, well-equipped, and got it done in short order. A little bit pricey, maybe, but not unbearable. The contact person was good at his job.

We recently hired Dos Amigos to remove the leaves from our yard and their work was exceptional and their rates were reasonable considering the amount of leaves that were there. This is the second year we have used them and plan to hire them again in the future. I highly recommend their work.

The customer rep was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. The price estimate was on par with other landscapers and sadly did not use the service since we had another company come out to winterize our lawn. I definitely do recommend people to call Dos Amigos especially with the great customer service.

Overall, they do a good job, but there have been instances where they could have been a bit quicker when completing work for us.

I called them for an estimate to remove the leaves from our yard based on the positive reviews I read on Angie's List. They came out promptly and gave a very reasonable price based on the ton, and I do mean ton of leaves we had. I got home on the afternoon they did the work and they had a large group of guys with blowers working. I was surprised they were able to finish them all that day. These guys were professional and did one fantastic job of removing the leaves. I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again.

Very well--they come every week, on a regular schedule. They've also done yard/garden maintenance and heavier work.

Heads up.....if a business has no working office with someone who can receive messages from clients and answer or return the calls in a timely fashion, find another business to work with. Dos Amigos's, Matt Berry and another employee, came to my property around April 23, 2015 to give us an estimate. They were very professional and sounded like a company that would do a great job. Matt said he would send the estimate by email soon. We received the estimate of $615 by email on April 28, 2015 with the following quote included: "Feel free to contact us if you have any questions." So, I called with questions that afternoon. I called several more times and finally emailed him on 4/30/15 with the list of questions and added 2 other personal phone #'s he could use to contact us. NO REPLY. On May 5, 2015 after many calls and emails from me, Matt Berry sends an email saying "Sorry for the delay but have been extremely busy and I have been in the field quite a bit." With all the frustrations of trying to get someone to contact us either by phone or email, we decided to go with another company who has a front office that answers and/or returns calls and who also gave us the same quote for the same work we asked Dos Amigos to do. Also, we never told Matt Berry that we wanted them to do the work. From May 5 on we never heard a word from Dos Amigos. On June 4, 2015 Dos Amigos's, Matt Berry, sent an email saying that he has scheduled work to be done on my property for June 9, 2015. I called him immediately, and of course, no one answered. I left a message and sent an email as well saying that we never asked them to do the work and that we hired someone else to do the job instead. In an earlier email I had given them 3 phone #'s to call us and never once did they ever try to call us. I never heard a reply (phone or email) that they were NOT coming on June 9. On that day I had to leave a note on the door saying to not do any mulching. I had appointments and couldn't be at the house to talk with them. They have caused a lot of anxiety and frustration!!!!! It was a total guessing game dealing with Matt and the company Dos Amigos. It's a shame because they were very professional on the 1st day we met them.

It went well enough. I'm not using my real address because I do not want that published. The provider walked over our property and suggested many things that needed to be done. I believe they provide to larger land and home owners typically. Our small area needs a lot of work and would take years to correct, according to this provider. We didn't have time or the resources for their estimate, even if he was being honest. It was very clear to me that he did not feel that their company was an appropriate match for us. However he did make helpful suggestions that I appreciated.

Original estimate was incorrect, too little but we were billed for the increased amount. After error was explained, it was a fair change. Very professional and finished on time. Work done was very good. Price was reasonable.

It was fair. I’m not sure I’d do it again. They could have given us a plan rather than just a verbal estimate. I got better estimates from other companies for free. The guy that came out, however, was very nice. It was a very disappointing experience overall.

Great. They were responsive and came the next day for an estimate, then came for the service within 2 weeks. Provided almost exactly what I asked for even though I wasn't home to supervise the work. The final cost was $100 less than the estimate, and over $1000 less than a competitor's estimate

Dont have time for details, Angie. They are good. I am a real estate investor and hire many contractors. They are a keeper for project after project.

Amazing. They seem to get better over time rather than worse. I haven't had a problem or needed to call them about anything in over a year.

Great work and competitively priced, would definitely use again. Also professional and responsive when we needed to schedule last minute service while our house was on the market and we needed to prep for showings. They were quick to accommodate and had someone at the house within a day. Had things looking tip top! Very much appreciated.

Fantastic company! They returned my phone call the same day, came to my house to give me an estimate 2 days later (they would have been out the next day, but that didn't work with my schedule), and then I hired them. They did all the work while I was at work so I drove up to a beautifully clean yard! What I was particularly impressed with was how they left my yard. They said when they gave me the estimate that they would probably have to leave some of the stumps but would get as close to the ground as possible. If there are still stumps, I don't know where they are! I have since installed mulch beds and planted flowers where the overgrown bushes were, with zero complications. I can't wait for them to come out and do my backyard.
