Overall, extremely poor from start to finish. I would definitely recommend to look elsewhere for painting services. The job was not completed on time or according to contract and my family and I moved out of our home for approximately 3 months in order to help facilitate the team's completion of the work. The original timelines provided to us by Mr. William Canavan, franchise owner, were 4-6 weeks. However, total time to completion was more than double this. In addition to not meeting timelines, there were significant shortfalls regarding quality and adherence to contract. The first group of painters assigned to complete the work took frequent breaks and showed little (no) respect for our home. The painters were often seen outside sitting on fold-out chairs in the yard, talking and eating or drinking. My husband and I returned often to find our home's doors and windows open and unlocked. Half full soda cans were left resting on antique furniture, and furniture and fixtures were not appropriately covered prior to painting or sanding. One evening, one of the painters left the water running outside all night long after cleaning off his brushes and supplies. Had my husband and I not returned the next day to assess job progress, the well would have likely run dry. Paint splatters were (and are still) found on upholstered furniture, wood furniture, light fixtures, appliances, floors, and walls. Personal belongings were also left uncovered prior to sanding the ceilings in the basement and dust accumulated everywhere. After Certa Pro "completed" the job, we hired a cleaning service to address the significant mess they left, which cost us over $500.00 (and this was the cheapest estimate we received!). Additionally, and probably most significant, painted areas were not correctly prepped, and paint on doors, trim, and cabinets is now bubbling and peeling off in sheets. Mr. Canavan consulted with a representative from Benjamin Moore who confirmed inappropriate preparation of the surfaces on the trim, doors, and cabinets by his team. In addition to this confirmation from Benjamin Moore, members from Mr. Canavan's team noted that they had not appropriately addressed the trim, cabinets and doors and apologized for the poor work performed. Despite all this confirmation of improper work, Mr. Canavan advised me and my husband that the peeling issues would subside after a few weeks once the paint had time to "cure." Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), this has not been the case. Issues continue to be seen on most areas of the house. For example, I was sweeping the closet a few days ago, and my broom brushed against the floor trim, which caused the paint to flake! In addition, the paint on the back of a kitchen door recently peeled off like a bad sunburn. In a small effort to rectify all the issues we experienced, Mr. Canavan dismissed the first group of painters and a new crew was brought in to help complete the work, but only after about 3/4 of the total job had been completed. In addition, Mr. Canavan reduced the total cost of the work by a meager $1,800.00 (original quote was $11,800 - we ended up paying $10,000 with the discount). Unfortunately, this was not enough. In addition to the cleaning services noted above ($500.00), estimates we have obtained from professional painters to fix the improperly addressed trim, doors, and cabinets have been confirmed at over $15,000.00. Please see alternate companies if you wish to have the interior of your home painted and avoid the headache that me and my family experienced.

Estimate went very well. Estimator arrived on time and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

Did a terrific job. Price was competitive, didn't overpromise (warned me that it was an older home with lots of minor blemishes that would remain without far more extensive prep work than I wanted), very thorough, very considerate of homeowner, started early and worked late to get the job done, place looks absolutely fantastic. I specifically looked for a painter who could also provide carpentry work since I assumed there would be old wood requiring replacement and I was right. Wood repairs actually improved on the original and the paint job is a show-stopper. A must-hire contractor.

The crew arrived punctually each day, were very courteous, and extremely hard working. They ran into an unforeseen problem with the porch ceiling. The ceiling is made of sheet rock, not wood unfortunately, and fresh paint wouldn't adhere due to moisture that had seeped into it. The crew had to sand and scrape all the old paint off, repatch the joints in the sheetrock, then prime and paint it. This was an extremely messy and demanding job, but they were determined to make it right, whatever it took. They worked diligently, and spent an extra day on the job getting it done properly. They were very good about cleaning up and being careful not to damage shrubbery around the house. We're very pleased; the house looks great.

We bought a home in Forest Lakes South with two rooms in desperate need of painting (lime green and dark navy blue anyone?). The other two rooms were the original builders-white paint. We got quotes from several other folks, and CertaPro ended up being the cheapest, and the timeliest. We had furniture being shipped in and the house was empty, so we really wanted to get it done prior to our delivery. We went back and forth a little bit, but finally they got started, and finished the four rooms (inclusive of a big master bedroom) and a bunch of closets in a week. They stayed several nights late just to finish up, always checking with me to see if it was okay. They kept me up to date, asked me to look over their work to ensure it was good. They did touchup where needed and without complaint. One room needed another coat (for a total of 4) and it was no issue, and cost no more. Another nice thing, these guys didn't smoke, or at least didn't smell of smoke. That's a big deal for people who are going to be in your home all day long. Overall excellent experience, I will use them again when I need to do painting.

From the initial estimation to completion of Job, franchise owner (Bill) was always in contact, following up on the progress and our satisfaction with the work. The crew, Juan and Hugo, arrived promptly each day and worked diligently until the house was finished. They were very courteous and respectful of our property and our schedule, and were careful to keep everything clean and tidy. I am very particular about quality of painting, as I normally do everything myself and have never hired painters before, and these guys are top notch. I highly recommend them.

I found CertaPro on Angie's list and called Bill Canavan for an estimate. Bill made an appointment to come out and see the house, then gave me an estimate. Everything was spelled out in full detail and there was absolutely no pressure. The job was performed as per the schedule and the results exceeded my expectations. The crew members were all professional, courteous and took pride in their work. They used top quality products and the job site was cleaned up every day. The house looks "Better than new" and I will definitely use CertaPro again in the future.

I think they did an ok job. Overall, we were not that pleased. We had some issues with them. The person who secured the job went on vacation. We were left to deal with his team. He tried to follow up, but I would not use them again.

Mr. Canavan arrived promptly for our initial appointment, gave us a detailed estimate and also made several suggestions which saved us money on the job cost. The painters, Chip and Dave, were exactly on time every day, worked quickly and neatly, and were very careful to protect our furniture and floors from paint drips, etc. Overall, we are very pleased with the paint job! CertaPro Painters were on time for the estimate appointment and for the painters' arrival. The work was done in a very professional manner. After the work was completed on time, the painters cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend these painters.

Once we contacted CertaPro, Mr. Bill Canavan called us to schedule an appointment for an estimate. When he arrived, he was extremely pleasant and very professional. He went over all the work that was to be done and gave us a written estimate on the same visit within a few minutes. The painters arrived on the scheduled date with Mr. Canavan and went over the work areas with us. The work was done very neatly and on time (two days) and they even came back to go over a few additional areas! We will be calling CertaPro again very soon to complete the rest of our painting projects. We were very pleased.

CertaPro painted the entire inside of our new house. The crew were working against the clock the whole time, as we were moving in and had house guests arriving the same week they were painting! They came early and stayed late and paid attention to every detail in the meantime. They worked around my messes as I was organizing, and they were just a great bunch of guys. I would absolutely use them again.
