It was a reasonable repair. They had an opportunity to sell me a new system, but we found a way to repair it for way less. It stopped working because it had a bad capacitor. The check that I wrote was about $350 but it also included a service contract on the machine, that was probably $150 of it, so he probably repaired it for $150 and the part was $50. I think they are very competitive with all the other companies around here. When I had my main system replace a year ago I had an estimate from another competitor. They were within three hundred dollars of an three thousand dollar replacement. I went with Albemarle because they are within five minutes away from my house, when I need them they and get here quick.They are the standard in the industry. They get here when they say they would. Every body else seem to agree they are reliable. My neighbor got the same machine. I wished I knew, I would have got fifty bucks. Their employees speak highly of the firm too. When the people come around, I asked how they like working with the firm. They have a reputation of fairness with the people, they have a stock option plan, LP. They keep the people trained, and treated fairly, and well enough to make them want to stay.

The technician arrived within the service window, after calling ahead to alert of arrival. He identified himself clearly, and was friendly and professional throughout his visit. He appeared to be thoroughly knowledgeable about the system, the furnace, but also ductwork, water lines, water heaters, and outside loops. He urged me to ask all the questions I wanted, and patiently answered each one, as well as giving me a step-by-step tour of the thermostats. He conducted a complete check of the system's functionality. He also checked and cleaned the inside wiring, the inside walls, condensation trays, etc.

This is a relatively new unit and everything checked out AOK.

Very well. Adam was very knowledgeable, professional and informative. I was disappointed he had not brought the filters I requested and this necessitated a second trip, but otherwise very satisfied.

Adam found a couple of things that will increase the efficiency of the system and decrease the possibility of early failure, increasing comfort and saving money in the long run. I appreciate his competence and concern.

The service went very well. It started with Brian M. who came out to perform annual maintenance on my heater. I informed Brian that I had a small water leak in the system that was a nuisance. I had reported it before but there was never any followup. Brian assured me that would not happen on his watch. He would make sure that I was contacted and someone was scheduled to correct the problem. He did and Josh T and a coworker Adam were here two weeks later and took care of the problem in very professional manner. It was great to see that three young men take pride in what they do and are customer service orientated.

All in all, we are very satisfied with the installed product. The installation team was punctual and professional and did a great job. Nice and clean. The reason for the B rating is that communication, though initially excellent, completely fell apart after we agreed to make the purchase. Emails went without response for weeks, scheduling installation was flaky at best. We asked for financing for the purchase, and though it was offered, it ended up being a big headache. Great product, well installed, but the communication issues were a big enough nuisance that we would not use Albemarle Heating and Air again.

Bill Gordon did a very thorough job of cleaning and checking everything. He spent extra time on our ductless AC, and I don't think it's every been that clean! Very good job.

Great. Arrived within stated window, worked independently and courteously, debriefed and advised me, cleaned up and provided written report. Very well trained and knowledgeable.

Their price could be a little lower. The workers were very courteous and professional.

Responsiveness is very good. They do their work. They advertise that f you call them before three you will have them out the same day.

I had them as a service provider for years and what happen was that my air conditioning broke down and they told me a new air conditioner and what I did was I went to another firm also just to get another opinion and they said no you need a new part and it would not be for the whole air conditioner we can supply the part and I did that and they were very angry a guy screamed at me over the phone for doing that and that is why know whether to them again or not. They could apologies to me for screaming at me.

Went very well. Only complaints were that (a) installers did not replace screens they removed for the temporary window A/C units they installed during the HVAC replacement, requiring me to haul 2-story ladder to replace (I'm 71 years old), and (b) screws from deinstallation and removal of my old unit left all over my grass and driveway (very difficult to find and posing tire puncture hazard and mower damage).

They do the spring and winter preps and are available immediately if you have a maintenance issue. Their weekend and after hours prices are the same as their regular prices. They are only two miles from my home which is convenient.

Three technicians performed the service. They arrived on time, were friendly and polite and provided reports on each system when finished. There was one repair that was outside the maintenance contract and they provided a quote and requested permission before proceeding.

Technician, Brian McEldowney, was very professional, explained all his concerns and work and provided pricing. He was very pleasant.

The technician, Brian, was great. He took the time to explain the steps to fix problems in our cooling system--there was an overflow pan but no other AC cutoffs. There was also a problem with our AC drains. He spent a lot of time outlining potential solutions and explaining why they were the best. He worked with our schedule and was very professional. I would highly recommend.

I love depending on this company for my regular check ups every 6 months. I trust them and have had very good service from them for more than 20 years.

I've been very pleased with their service. They arrive on time, do their work, and explain what they've found in language I can understand. I plan to renew my annual contract for many years to come. (The cost below is for two heat pumps for one year and includes two maintenance calls per year.)

Very pleased since returning to Albemarle Heating and Air. Installed a new unit several years ago. The process was very thoughtful regarding energy efficiency and comfort. The installation team was a dream to work with-polite, considerate of my home, and very patient answering questions. I have had much lower bills, summer and winter, and the comfort level in the house (especially during the summer) was much improved. They are always on time for appointments and my technician is a wonderful young man. Although they may be a little more expensive than some companies, I feel they are very committed to providing the best product and service. VERY PLEASED.

Bought two new AC systems for my house a few years ago from Albemarle and have been using them ever since for maintenance and AC work. Called recently to have an additional duct installed in one of my rooms and was told it had to go through the new installs lady (not sure why as it's $60 worth of parts and 2 hours of time), Left two messages for the woman in charge of this group and was never called back. Was going to call a 3rd time and try again, but figured why do I have to chase someone to try and give them my money (and this is after spending $30K on two new Trane systems). Do your self a favor and find a licensed owner/installer to use (there are several good ones listed on Angies'). Better response time, cheaper pricing and generally more knowledgeable.
