well - a couple of minor repairs were made

I reported a noisy fan motor (sounded like a worn bearing) to Albemarle Heating & Air. Within 24 hours a tech arrived and agreed that the motor should be replaced. He ordered the motor and scheduled a return visit for the following Monday, noting that the part would probably be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. That afternoon the motor failed completely, leaving us with no heat in mid-January. Fortunately, outdoor temperatures were in the 60s, but the forecast was for sub-freezing temps over the weekend. Our tech was able to expedite part shipment and returned the next afternoon (Friday) to replace the motor. Throughout this time he kept in touch by text message, advising us whom to call at his office to check status. The motor's cost was indeed covered by warranty.

System was working but he noticed the burners did not light properly. He cleaned the burners and ensured all was working properly before he left. Very professional and skillful: had a great understanding of the equipement and how it worked and had the skills to properly perform all his tasks. Checked all safety and operational components to ensure all was operating as it should be. Kept me informed on what he was doing. The system is almost 20 years old. Bill G. did such a great job I told him I will ask for him to do the AC maintenance this summer.

The technician was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. We received the discount advertised on Angie's list. He spent a good amount of time with the system and found no problems. We paid ahead for the summer a/c tune-up as well.

It was fine. Fortunately the unit was running well. Bill did all the work needed, then explained what would be reasonable to fix on such an old unit (should it malfunction) and what would indicate the need for a new unit.
