They service our heating systems twice a year. For the past two years James B. has been our technician. He was extremely polite and answered all our questions. Well done.
Description of Work: Semiannual maintenance of heating/AC system. Albemarle Heating and Air has always been prompt and courteous, today's visit by Tim was no different. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and offered several tips to improvement efficiency with an old system. He did mention that the system is beyond its years and that replacement will be needed in the near future but did not pressure us into buying or scheduling a review with a sales rep. I appreciate his no-pressure approach and the reinforcement of views that we already ahd concerning the life of the unit.

Description of Work: Replaced existing heat pump and air handler with more energy efficient model (Trane XV20i ). They will also handle the Dominion rebate and registration paperwork. The price was a little lower than the other local Trane authorized provider as is the cost of their maintenance contract. They maintain a large staff of technicians and offer same-day response in the event of an emergency without overtime charge for work done on Saturdays.

Air conditioner was not running. Service agent checked power supply from house to conditioner and found it OK. Then examined the air conditioner and found the failed part. While present, also briefly examined the base unit in the house. Said another person would be scheduled to visit the house and do a more complete examination as part of the annual service arrangement. Am awaiting that person's visit, but not presently concerned. Agent was polite and professional.

They are a great company and very knowledgeable in their field. They are truly concerned about the customer. Where other companies might cut corners they do what is necessary to make sure the job is done well. The owner of the company is concerned about the overall health of the home environment. He?s also involved in getting rid of mold in duct work. He spent a lot of time talking with me and his workers are very happy working for them. This impressed me.
Description of Work: They installed a new main duct. I also had them inspect our heat pump to make sure everything was working properly. This was done in March of 2010.
