Summary: Virginia Kitchen and Bath was not the lowest price option based on estimates we received, but they did offer us the best value for the price. In the end, they completed the work well and rather quickly, including returning to address small issues once we lived with the new changes for a few days. We are happy with the results and are way too excited to use our new bathroom tomorrow! Detail: We had a leak inside our home that affected the master bathroom as well as the room below, which happened to be the kitchen. This means we had some coverage of costs from our home insurance provider. VKB was one of several companies we had out to look at the job and provide an estimate. They made the cut (down to 3 options) based on the written estimate we received and our initial impressions - responsiveness, attention to detail and demeanor of the representative - and that led us to a showroom visit. We'd opted to get estimates for additional work in the same rooms that was not covered by our insurance as well as some other rooms to potentially complete projects we were working toward, anyway. This landed the VKB project to a remodel of our master bath and repainting & reflooring of the kitchen. We worked with Burak for the initial estimate, design and contract signing. He had a great personal recall of what our home looked like when we visited the showroom. We never felt rushed to make choices, even when other customers came in behind us. Burak was very attentive to our preferences and was not afraid to make recommendations. VKB has some standard payment schedule information that is provided up front as well as a templated estimate process that they use. It should be noted that VKB does not provide paint, but did send us to a provider where we could have a discount. The payment schedule was nice to have for planning purposes. The templated estimate made it virtually impossible for VKB to meet the documentation requirements for the insurance company. This meant that justification for increasing the low-ball reimbursement we received from the adjustor could not be sufficiently provided and we're unlikely to recoup the additional costs for the covered work. On the plus side, their approach is to offer a full package that trumps whatever you had previously. I feel like this is what we got with the master bath! The team that came to our home was efficient and friendly. The work was led by Alejandro and our project manager was Sertac. They completed all (let's say 95%) of the work in about 9-10 days, including a Saturday, which was impressive. (So many companies will not do projects on Saturday!) We did wait an additional week or so for the shower door to be created/installed and then we asked them to return for a small punch list of corrections. We expected the shower door delay because we were told that up front. No surprise there! During execution, we had some minor scheduling issues that generally amount to miscommunication or lack thereof. The largest consequence was that we lost access to the kitchen earlier than we'd expected based on the plan laid out early on, causing us to purchase more restaurant meals than we'd planned for previously (and lost opportunity to use some groceries). We had a close call when all of our kitchen contents had been set outside for a couple of days and rain came up in the forecast. Alejandro and the team hustled to keep the work on track and spare ruining the displaced items in the process. Sertac was always attentive to our concerns and had a good attention to detail. He helped ensure some other parallel work we had going could be accommodated. Normally, we wouldn't have had multiple companies at the same time, but there was a scheduling hiccup that couldn't be avoided. This did not hamper VKB one bit. We will definitely consider VKB for future projects, possibly not bothering to go through the estimate process all over again!

In their beautiful new showroom in Leesburg, Burak was very helpful in communicating the process of a total bathroom remodel and patiently assisting me in navigating the vast array of choices. I never felt rushed or pressured and the quoted price is what I paid. Their tile expert, Ernesto, is an absolute master at his trade. I highly recommend him for custom work. Carlos and Alex gave me choices and made sure I was a part of the design process as the project came to life. Sertac was responsive to my requests and his whole team was punctual, courteous, and tidy. They take a lot of pride in their finished work and I’m happy to recommend them for your next remodel.

Working with Virginia Kitchen and Bath was a great experience! We are thrilled with our new kitchen. They provided a design to maximize our space and offered many great options for cabinetry, tile, etc. The crew did an exceptional job with their attention to detail and expert craftmanship. The work was completed on time and within budget. We highly recommend them!

The service was great, the end result was beautiful. I had some minor repairs done and they also did a good job on that repairs. It looks like a spa bathroom. It was excellent. The only thing is, they installed my vanity the wrong way, and it couldn't be fixed anymore, it was not done the way I wanted it to be. But the Matt, the project manager was very very good and very nice.

Almost three years ago, Virginia Kitchen and Bath company remodeled our bathrooms, so we knew we wanted to call them again for our kitchen and family room project. It was great to work with Leon as our designer again, and also with Bo this time. Our 34-year old kitchen was very small and isolated from the family room by three walls. We appreciated their ideas to make the two rooms flow together with walls being removed and new flooring installed. Bo was so helpful with her suggestions for the quartz countertops and the engineered wood flooring; we love the colors and how nice everything looks together. We are pleased with the new white cabinets replacing the old oak ones. The new lighting in the kitchen is amazing, and such a big improvement over the old. They also remodeled our powder room next to the kitchen, with a lovely tile floor installed by Edison. Martise was a fantastic project manager! He was especially good at keeping us informed and answering our calls and emails. We had a few problems with the walls and cabinets, and he solved everything quickly. He was even dedicated enough to drive to Arlington on a terribly rainy night in heavy traffic to make sure our cabinet parts were here in time for installation the next day. We were so happy to have Edison as our lead remodeler again, since he had remodeled our bathrooms! We knew his expertise and attention to detail would result in an excellent outcome. Our problem wall turned out to be an easy fix for Edison! He and his nephew Harold were very considerate of our home and cleaned up every day; they were patient with us having to walk through their “construction zone” many times a day with our little granddaughter. Although our two projects were not large, extremely expensive or trendy (in keeping with the age of our house and our budget constraints as retired people), we felt that this company gave the same care, professionalism, and attention to our job as they do for the many very much larger projects they undertake. We are looking forward to showing off our kitchen to our friends and neighbors and will be sure to recommend Virginia Kitchen to all of them!

I would highly recommend VA Kitchen & Bath - especially working with Sertac, Leon & Bo. Sertac managed the project and, as promised, completed the remodel within the timeline with flawless results. The workers carefully clean up any mess and their equipment nightly so I never had to clean up after them. Quality work and timeline were more of a concern than the price as I only have 1.5 bathrooms. I watch neighbor's bathroom remodeling projects drag on for 4-5 weeks so having mine completed in 8-9 days was a HUGE plus to me. The shower tile is so BEAUTIFUL that I refuse to close the shower curtain and may decide later to install a frameless glass door instead. I have hated my builders grade bathroom for years and would have remodeled before it I had known how easy VA Kitchen & Bath would make the process!

Excellent work and very pleased with VA Kitchen and Bath, whom we had identified by careful review of Angies List recommentations. My family and I could not be more pleased with the results and work done, from the initial design work and help with material selection by Leon and colleagues, to the renovation work itself led by Sertac (Project Manager) and Alejandro (Team lead). Almost of all the materials selected were available in the showroom under this company's "one stop" approach. Very efficient. Everything we had initially discussed was installed satisfactorily, and the work done is very neat especially the tiling. A small confusion over one component ordered was quickly resolved. Sertac and Alejandro were in constant communication with us as the worked progressed each day The team worked very hard, and because of this and the planning by the project team and pre-ordered materials, were able to complete the task in just one week including all the debris removal and daily clean-up. It helped that the team worked straight through and sometimes had four of five team members working on the renovations and clean-up. Overall we cannot recommend Virginia Kitchen And Bath as well as Sertac and the renovation team highly enough

We couldn't be more pleased with the work by Virginia Kitchen and Bath. From the first call to the last bit of grout, everything was fantastic. We were impressed by the wide selection of countertop material and backsplash designs. Barack was knowledgeable about every aspect and guided our selection with his information about the pros and cons of each surface material. We chose granite and went to the supplier to choose our slab. Surprisingly, we saw that what we thought we wanted wasn't right at all -- no problem. We just picked a similar but better suited piece. The installation team was super-professional -- they even left us a lovely square of material to use as a cutting board! When we wound up choosing a microwave that was a bit smaller than our original choice, it left a strip of wall exposed. No problem! Barack just sent his guys back to add more backsplash. Our kitchen is just perfect now. Hire Virginia Kitchen and Bath with complete confidence -- this company is first-rate!

VKB was the most affordable Angies "A" rated contractor of those we contacted for the work we needed done. Steve did a great job with the design and estimates, including quick-turnaround requests when necessary. Martice was a very competent and communicative project manager, always available and responsive to any questions or concerns. The installer, Javier, was professional, courteous and did all he could to minimize disruption. The work took about the estimated amount of time, and so far, no bad surprises! The renovated bath looks great! My only quibble was that we had to settle for a sink/vanity top that wasn't my preferred style - two-piece vs. my preferred one-piece. I would definitely recommend VKB to anyone considering a bath remodel.

Virginia Kitchen and Bath did an OUTSTANDING job remodeling our bathroom. They were extremely professional, responsive, and the results exceeded our expectations. Our designers, Leon and Bo, did the planning and helped with all the decisions on the vision for our new bathroom. They developed the floor plans and guided us in choosing the tile, tub, etc. The construction was supervised by Martese, who was in regular contact, would check in regularly to see how the job was progressing, and discussed adjustments along the way. The two workers who did the heavy lifting on our project, Rigo and Lucas, were true craftsmen. They were punctual, perfectionists, and extremely hard workers. They showed up on time everyday and were very nice to have around the house each day. This was our first major remodel and we were extremely pleased with Virginia Kitchen and Bath and our team. We would definitely use them again.

Virginia Kitchen & Bath did an excellent job from start to finish. Leon and Bo were very helpful in explaining the options and helping me to choose cabinets, flooring and countertop. The project manager, Martese, was very responsive to my requests and kept the job moving along. All installations went smoothly. This is to fully endorse and recommend Virginia Kitchen and Bath of Leesburg, Virginia. They remodeled my kitchen recently to my complete satisfaction. On February 1, 2018 I walked into the Leesburg showroom and met with Kemal and Steve. The showroom is a beautiful facility with numerous selections and options. One of the best things I experienced (which was unlike other contractors I spoke with) was that they listened to me and what I needed and wanted in my kitchen. The design they proposed kept within the budget I gave them and included everything I wanted. Their designs were innovative and creative and they made some great suggestions of things I’d never considered. They made me feel that remodeling my modest townhouse kitchen was as important to them as a major contracting job. One-stop shopping with Virginia Kitchen and Bath is the best and only way I would consider doing any kind of work like this. I met with the designers - Virginia Kitchen and Bath did everything else. Work started on March 6, 2018 and by March 31, 2018 I was literally dumbstruck with how beautiful my finished kitchen is. The Project Manager, Site Manager and crew were professional, skilled, considerate, punctual and extremely talented. They went out of their way to do a complete kitchen remodel with as little disruption as possible. I cannot reiterate how very satisfied I am with Virginia Kitchen and Bath. Their prices are fair and the value for the services they provide is great. I recommend them wholeheartedly. They made my kitchen remodel a wonderful experience, from the first meeting to the beautiful finished product.

From our first meeting with Dale for the project measurements to the final walkthrough with our project manager, Matt, we were completely satisfied with our service and experience. Our estimate was comparable to other companies, but they others didn't provide the comfortable feel that we were looking for. Throughout the project we received excellent communication from Matt and he worked to ensure that we were happy with the quality of the team's work. We also noticed that they took exceptional care to keep our house clean during the remodel. I must say that even after the project's completion, the level of service has remained consistently excellent. Finally, the project was completed in three weeks, beating the five week estimate. We plan to use them again for a master bathroom remodel.

I contacted this company because of their great reviews, beautiful work, nice website, etc. We are planning on doing a full gut and remodel of our kitchen. Dale was very friendly on the phone, came to my house on time and was very courteous and nice to talk to. That's where all the good stuff ended. He contacted me a week after he came to my house and told me the design was almost done and had some questions. I mentioned we had some changes in direction of the scope (making the project smaller) and he asked me to send him the details via email and that he would have the design ready the next day. Three days after that I followed up to ask for status and he said he was too busy that week and that I would need to wait until the next week. Well, I emailed him today and he finally sent the design. I was shocked when I looked at the design as he completely left out most of the changes in our layout and basically just sent me a rendering of my current kitchen. The estimate was pretty low, but of course it was since it was missing most of what I wanted. To make things worse, I emailed him to let him know it didn't seem he listened to what we wanted and he replied "there is no way I can do that design and the other items you requested for $50k. I think perhaps we are not a good fit for what you want to do." For one, I have no idea where he got the $50k number from. Secondly, if my budget is $50k then why send me a proposal for $40k that leaves out most of what I am looking for? Makes no sense. I wasted almost three weeks of time with this guy and I really don't appreciate his responses. This company may be good, but your employees represent you and this was not a good representation.

This company was honest, easy to talk to and work with. They started and finished the project when they said they would. The workers were punctual, courteous and very hard working. After many costly piecemeal repairs to my bathroom, I was very happy to find a company that pays attention to the quality of the work they do as well. When I pointed out a couple items that needed adjustment, the project foreman readily agreed and speedily fixed the items. This alone is worth its weight in gold! I will definitely be using this company in the future. One note - this type of work requires equipment that cannot easily be packed up every evening and can also generate a lot of trash. A staging area for work should be considered upfront. I was lucky enough to have a garage that I let them use.

The whole experience was a delight. From my first contact with the salesman, to the designer, and finally the project manager and crew, I knew I had made the right decision. All my questions were answered promptly and professionally. Crew always showed up as scheduled, job site was kept neat, and bathroom looks GREAT. Any problems that arose were quickly and efficiently resolved by the project manager. Would highly recommend Virginia Kitchen and Bath!

Our project was a tremendous success. From start to finish the support was excellent. Our designer Tara fully took her time to guide us through the design process and had the patience to go through several modifications to the design and products involved. Our project manager Matt was efficient and personable. Lastly, our installers Marcelo and Hector were top notch and executed the project with precision. We are pleased with the project and highly recommend this company.

Dale, Matt, and their team were great to work with. We completely gutted the kitchen and powder room putting in new flooring, cabinets, and lighting. The work was completed on time and the crew was very professional. The kitchen and bathroom look great. This was the first major renovation I've had done on a house and I was worried it would be a very painful process. From estimate to completion there was great communication. Timelines and expectations were exceeded throughout the entire process.

I signed the contract early January and the work was started 2nd week of February and took about 3weeks. Matt was overseeing the job, and Rigo and Lucas did most of the work. Santos was the plumber, and they all did an excellent job. I’m very pleased with the end result.

They are the best guys we have ever worked with! Matt Bidgoos was an excellent project manager, and brought a team with two guys, Hector and Marcelo, who are both very professional. Each Hector and Marcelo came around 8:30, spent the first 15 mins cover the floor and areas to avoid dirt or dust flying around the room, and took the last 15 mins to clean up the floor, the working area, the trash when they left around 5 pm. Everything remains tidy and we don't even notice there is construction going on. My husband is super particular on what products should use and how everything should be installed, but Matt was very patient to answer all our questions, and try to meet our needs. Sometimes they even had to take off what was installed and replaced with new things per our request, and they did it without complaint. Our baths are truly customized and we are very satisfied with our brand new bathrooms! I have recommended them to multiple of our friends who wants to do kitchen renovation, and would definitely retain them again for any need.

GREAT work!!! Leon and Bo were excellent for sales, pricing and design. Leon came out for the initial sales call and had the best design idea (by far) of all four of the companies that we interviewed for this project. Interestingly enough, Leon’s experience and expertise is in construction and not design. He was the best listener of all the sales people/designers that we saw and gave us exactly what we wanted by going outside the box and suggesting some things that we hadn’t even considered. Bo was great with helping us pick out the tile, floor, fixtures, cabinets, paint, grout, etc. She was able to show us some really cool ideas in their showroom. She helped us with the vision of how everything would look in our home so there were no surprises when everything was installed. Matt was our Project Manager and did an EXCELLENT job!!! These kinds of projects go well or not based on the skill and effort of the project manager. With a project of this size, you always run into problems and the project manager’s skills will determine if it’s just a hiccup or months and months of aggravation and frustration. Our small problems were handled perfectly because of Matt’s quick and correct responses to them. We’ve never had a project manager as good as Matt on any home improvement job!!! And even better, we always budget 10% for unknowns and changes. With VKB’s good planning by Leon and Bo, and excellent project management by Matt, we did not go over budget and got some even better furniture than we were hoping in our new bedroom. Thank you, Virginia Kitchen and Bath. You’ll be the ones we call for other our other bathroom and kitchen remodeling jobs when we’ve saved up some more cash :)

Having been a Project Manager for one of the largest international commercial development/construction companies, the expectations for my personal contractor were very high. I spoke to three competitors regarding my kitchen remodel, listening to their suggestions, looking at the materials they offered, and reacting to conversation in general. I chose Virginia Kitchen and Bath and pleased to say Matt and crew met my expectations. On time, courteous, keeping me apprised of any necessary changes and diligence are just some of the positive attributes of this team. Next year I will start the quest again for contractors for two bathroom remodels, and guarantee Virginia Kitchen and Bath will be top of my list. After interviewing 4 Angie's List Kitchen remodeling companies, I chose VA Kitchen and Bath because 1) They offered the best price 2) Leon, the sales rep was very available, relaxed, knowledgeable and flexible as I changed my order several times before settling on materials (of course before the order was put in); and 3) there were enough recent outstanding reviews to raise the expectation that I could expect the same. I wasn't disappointed. Project manager Martese made sure all materials arrived in time for the project to be completed in the promised 3 week time frame. When there was a bump in the road , he made sure it was smoothed out within 24-48 hours. I have a strong HOA and Martese made sure waste was removed the same day during demolition and later held in the garage until able to be expeditiously removed. He made himself available , responded quickly and kept an eye on the progress of the remodeling. I also pulled on Martese's years of experience to help me pick a paint to be a background color and he was spot on with BM Light Pewter. (I now want to do my whole house in it.) He also helped select an outstanding backsplash. I relied on his experience as well as Leon's and Andy's to reduce the hours I otherwise would have had to put in. (I'm very indecisive regarding colors) Andy, and his crew (Henry and Edgar) were outstanding. They did their very best to limit the dust/grime fallout from the demo by sealing off entranceways with plastic. They work together seamlessly , having been a team for many years. Quiet, focussed, persistent (only half hour lunch breaks on site) they worked tirelessly to finish on time before the holidays. I have to say, Andy is top notch! He explained what was going on and asked me my preferences based on his years of experience in remodeling kitchens. He is very patient and flexible and a troubleshooter. He made some suggestions that were very helpful with respect to design to avoid future problems. I was clueless regarding pendant light size and he helped reduce my stress shopping for those. He also pointed out the need to update my recessed lighting and went out of his way to show me a refit kit and the difference it would make in the kitchen. KUDOS TO ANDY! What a difference the lighting makes! IT was worth the extra few hundred dollars. I can't praise Andy enough as he takes such pride in his work and wants to see the best possible outcome for the homeowner. He keeps a portfolio of photos of his finished jobs which also helped me make some decisions. He also pointed out the corrections he made in the remodeling to bring everything up to code that wasn't before. He also corrected careless errors on the part of the first builder. Finally, when my new stove arrived, Andy stayed on task to make sure the side rails were installed properly so the racks would slide on (not previously installed and a BIG headache ). Thank you Andy (and Edgar and Henry) and Martese and Leon for making my dream kitchen a reality! I'll be calling on you again in the future to upgrade our master bathroom. I've included photos of the kitchen redo; I'm only sorry I don't have "before" pictures so you could see the dramatic difference.
