They responded very promptly, our designer Leon came out to measure and talk to us within a day or two. We were happy the design and the price of this company. To our pleasant surprise, they not only finished the project within the timeline, but work quality was also outstanding. We were very happy with the end result. In addition, after few months after we needed couple things adjusted, the company was also very prompt in getting back to us and scheduling a team to come out to fix the issue. Overall, we were happy not only with the work initially performed, but also with the follow-up and how they standby their work. We also decided to use Virginia Kitchen & Bath for another remodeling project.

From start to finish, these guys were the best. We had a three-man crew dedicated to our job until it was finished, minus a couple of days when the project had to be paused for asbestos removal. We had a project manager, Matt, who did a great job overseeing progress and being the liaison between us and the county so we didn't have to worry about inspections and permits. He made sure the job was getting done and clearly knew his stuff. He even got along with our dog, who tends to be afraid of new people. The 3-man work crew also clearly knew what they were doing. They were professional and efficient. They were so efficient that the job was finished almost two weeks early, and that included the surprise upstairs bathroom remodel that was not originally part of the plan but suddenly became part of the plan when a water leak took out a 2'x4' section of ceiling underneath. Everyone from our designer, Leon, to the project manager Matt, to the work crew, took on this extra work without any problem and still finished the overall job ahead of schedule. They were very accommodating of our needs throughout the project, and were excellent about communicating back and forth with us on a very timely basis. We tweaked the initial design, and they rolled with it without any trouble whatsoever. They made sure we were happy and have come out since in order to put final touches on a couple of things that didn't come up until the project was complete. We have already recommended them to others and would absolutely seek them out first for any future work!

Overall, both jobs went pretty well. Designer and I fully discussed my preferences for finishes and fixtures but I recommend you have a clear idea of how you want the room to look in advance. Unforeseen problems encountered by the workmen were immediately brought to my attention, solutions discussed with me and the supervisor and executed to my satisfaction. The tile work done in both rooms was excellent. Plumbing work was completed with minimal interruptions in my water service. The workmen who install the countertops/sinks are quick and excellent as are the workmen who measure and install the glass for the shower enclosures. I appreciated that someone came by daily to haul away the construction trash. The workmen were fairly regular at arriving each morning between 8:30 and 9:00, but some days ran a bit longer than I would have liked. They cleaned up the construction area each evening before leaving. I especially appreciated the wrapping of all furniture in my master bedroom. Both bathrooms turned out beautiful, and I have received quite a few compliments.

Overall quality of work was great. The tile is all evenly set, flush and sealed. Edges used metal strips for appearance and smoothness. Fit and finish is excellent. Project took longer than planned, but it started in the beginning of December, and ended up going past Christmas, so I'll give them a break, given it was in the middle of the holidays. It took about 5 weeks to get back to full function of both baths, and another week to finish some details. The initial estimate was to complete in 4 weeks. Things that delayed completion included delivering the wrong size and color bathtub, which had to be reordered.

Dale came out to take a look at our bathroom and gave us ideas and an estimate. The estimate was completed quickly. We then went to the showroom to pick out everything with Dale. This took us a little over 2 hours and Dale was very helpful during the whole process. Work started about 7 weeks later and Martese was introduced to us as our project manager. He was very responsive, returned calls quickly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. He came by about every other day to check on things and made sure that we were happy with how things were going. If we had a problem with something, he worked through it and made sure that it was corrected. Very good experience and would recommend Virginia Kitchen and Bath. Bathroom is beautiful! Turned our small outdated bathroom into a beautiful master bathroom with large shower and double vanity. We love it!

We were promised 1 week delivery time. We had 3 different types of flooring on the first level of our apartment : tile in the kitchen, old hardwood in the hall and cheap laminate in the living area. On Monday the old floor was removed. On Wednesday we received materials and on Thursday new floor was installed along with shoe molding. On Friday electric work was done in the kitchen, old backsplash was removed, new drywall for new backsplash was installed, tile was competed. On Saturday the backsplash was finished. The contractors were always on time, never left a mess, always left clean place after the work was done. We are totally satisfied with service. Good job Virginia Kitchen & Bath!

Excellent service and support! My wife and I had our kitchen renovated, and we are so happy that Virginia Kitchen and Bath was our contractor. The team did a phenomenal job for us, and we would definitely recommend them for anyone without any reservation. Tara was our designer, she is meticulous, and detail oriented while helping us going through every aspect of the measurement and design for our kitchen. Matt, was the project manager for the team, and we are extremely happy with his management of the project and the team. Matt is responsive and always available for our questions as the project progressing. Additionally, we are impressed with Andy and his team for the work they did for us. They are very respectful of the work site, and clean up the work space every day. Overall, the project started on time and completed on schedule within our budget. We are extremely happy with the new kitchen, and will come back to VA Kitchen & Bath for our future projects.

They were on time, clean and neat including putting down carpet runners/plastic to keep everything clean. They did a good job and when we thought there were minor adjustments to be made Alejandro and Matt were quick to update us and perform the updates. They really paged attention to the little things like the trim and door handles. That set my mind at ease as I didnt have to worry.

It was a pleasure working with VA Kitchen & Bath for our master bathroom remodel. Martese was our project manager and was easy to work with, and Oscar and his crew delivered a quality work product. Any issues or changes that came about were handled quickly with no impact to the schedule or cost. The crew worked hard and showed up on-time everyday, working full days - even on Saturdays (with our permission). Martese stopped by almost daily to make sure everything was going okay and to check in with me. The project was completed in about 3.5 weeks and at a fairly reasonable price. We have already recommended VA Kitchen & Bath to others, and hope to be able to work with them again for future projects!

Virginia Kitchen and Bath did an excellent job on our kitchen project. Tara, our designer, was especially helpful in selecting materials, design layout, and writing a detailed proposal. Caesar, our technician, did a super job on demolition and construction. All staff worked efficiently in our condominium building with its many restrictions. Very happy with Virginia Kitchen and Bath. This was a fairly large project that went well, on budget and almost on time (delays mostly because we were leaving out of town). Martese, our project manager was very responsive and professional. We've changed our minds on a few things once the work has started, but he was quick to accommodate to make us happy with the end result. Definitely an "A" rated company and would recommend to friends/family.

The work went well and we are very happy with the results. VA Kitchen and Bath helped us from the initial design, through demo and rebuilding. The designer we worked with, Dale, helped us with the new look for the bathroom and came up with an creative fix in order to avoid doors opening into each other (pocket door). Our project manager, Matt, was helpful, responsive, and thorough. We love the porcelain tile floor (that looks like wood) and how the tile work came out. They also came out a couple weeks after the job was completed to fix a few minor things and ensure everything was to our liking. They will be at the top of our list for next time and we will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

It was really easy to work with both the schedulers and the designers. The work was scheduled promptly and the work was done in 10 working days - 4 less than we had expected. The crew was professional and competent and were careful not to disturb the rest of the house while working. The results are spectacular and the quality of the work was first rate. I'm hard to please, so this high rating is unusual for me.

The selection process for products went great. Dale was a great help when selecting tile, etc. He gave us some good advice as well--very impressed with him. The initial work on the bathroom, however, did not go well. Tile work on walls was poor. After Dale came by, he called his boss, who I believe was the owner. He came by and apologized for work and asked to tear it down and do it again, but right. Brought in new worker (Marco) and new project manager (Matt). Marco did a very good job on walls and remaining work, and Matt worked with us, regularly checking in, and he made sure that we were happy with everything in the bathroom before closing out the job. There was never any fight over anything--not the redoing of the walls nor any punch list item we identified during the project. Anything we pointed out, they quickly addressed. While it did take longer than planned, I was happy to see that they wanted to do the job right and ensured we were happy before closing out the job. I probably would have rated them higher, but since I'm evaluating the whole project, I did have to pull them down for the first worker and project manager. Had it not been for that, though, the scores would have been higher.

It went beautifully! From start to finish! Leon came out to do the measurements and designed exactly what I was looking for. Martese was the supervisor on the project and was in constant contact with me. Any time I had any questions or concerns his response was immediate and professional. Oftentimes he would personally come out just to check and make sure I was happy with the progression of the work. I never felt like his schedule was too full or that he didn't have time for me. I immensely enjoyed working with him! Oscar was the every-day lead on the project and he was attentive, considerate, and very mindful of what I ultimately was looking for in the project. He would ask me difficult questions sometimes and I counted on his expertise to help guide me to the right decision. Every decision was a good one and my bathroom is gorgeous and I wonderful space to use now.

It went fairly well. Initially Dale, the owner, visited our house to look at the space, take measurements, provided several initial ideas of what we could do, and gave us an all-inclusive estimate. We loved his ideas and worked with him to design everything we wanted to work up a contract. At that point a project manager took over. The project manager was a bit unresponsive initially and we were confused about why it took so long for the project to begin (we signed our contract on May 13, 2016; however, demolition and construction did not begin until August 1, 2016). Once the project was underway, we were highly satisfied with the quality of the work. We were on vacation for the first 2 weeks of demolition and initial construction. During that time, the project manager contacted us regularly to provide updates, ask questions, and clarify certain points/project details. Our project manager worked with us to ensure that our expectations were met and he provided several suggestions that improved the design and final product (at no additional cost). Our only complaint was that it did not seem that the project manager was as familiar with the specific requirements of our contract as we expected. For example, our contract explicitly stated that the demolition and construction teams should remove our toilet and vent fan but should keep them, as we intended to use them in the new bathroom. However, during demolition, the project manager instructed the team to discard everything from the existing bathroom, including the toilet and vent fan. Until we questioned the project manager about these items, we were unaware that they had been discarded. As recompense, the project manager upgraded our toilet and provided an equivalent vent fan at no additional cost/increase to the overall project. Additionally, Anibal, the craftsman who was primarily responsible for completing the project (tile, mirrors, paint, hardware, etc.) was very talented and detailed. He generally worked 7 days per week for approximately 10 hours each day and his workmanship was exquisite. The project was completed by August 31, 2016. In the end we are very happy with what we received for our money and would definitely recommend Virginia Kitchen and Bath. We hope to work with the company in the future when we remodel our kitchen.
Description of Work: We remodeled our master bathroom and moved our laundry facilities from our basement into a third floor closet, adjacent to the master bedroom/bathroom. The majority of the project consisted of converting a large soaker tub into a custom walk-in shower, as well as converting the old stall shower into a closet for a stackable washer/dryer. In addition, we updated the finishes and selected a quartz countertop, flooring and wall tiles, new cabinetry, hardware. Virginia Kitchen and Bath has a large showroom, which we visited to design the bathroom and adjacent laundry space and select tile, cabinets, and countertop.

We had a very bad experience with Virginia Kitchen & Bath which is surprising because they are highly rated on Angie's List. What's more surprising is that I haven't seen much or any mention of a similar experience that other people had with this company. I assumed it was kind of a scam and typical business for them. As many have mentioned Leon has a friendly personality and seems to know his business well. He came to our house, took measurements and sent us an estimate and drawings. The estimate was within our price range although I knew the materials allowance was going to be too low (ie the final price would be higher). Next step was to go to VK&B's showroom to select materials. My wife and I spent some time with Leon making our selections. We pretty much nailed down all but a couple of minor selections (for example we hadn't chosen our vanity lighting yet or our cabinet knobs). As expected, the price went up based on our selections, but we were still prepared to move forward. My wife and I, along with Leon, signed a proposal which included the price. Leon advised that the next step was to have a final measurement which we scheduled for the next week. I thought this was strange since we already had accurate measurements and an inch or two here or there wouldn't change the overall cost or scope of the project anyway. It turns out the "measurement" was just an excuse to bring another person in who looked over the project without measuring, and then a couple of days later sent a new proposal that was a 2-3 thousand dollars higher. When I asked why the price had gone up, the "additional" expenses were just duplicates of things that were already included in the original estimate (contractor material markup, supplies, etc.) These things were all clearly included in the first proposal so this guy literally just came in after we agreed on a price and changed it. What a SHADY experience. Again, I'm at a loss as to why more people haven't reported similar experiences because it came off like some kind of scam. I'm just guessing, but my gut tells me that Leon underbid and the second person who came out to review the project (I think this person might have been the owner) was forced to either do something shady or work the project without making money. He chose to do something shady. If he was just honest with me, I think we could have done business together. I'm not sure why I even gave an overall grade of D. How could you trust a company that pulls this kind of stuff before you even get started? I guess it's because it doesn't appear that this is a typical business practice for them.

Dear Customer, It is surprise to us to hear that, we told you that day, we will give you exact project cost right after left from you home. We always schedule final measurements to see if material being selected is within the allowance provided so we can notify our customers before starting any job. If we were a dishonest company, we would have taken your deposit to start the job and ask for the additional costs at the end of the project for going over your allowance. Instead, we told you what we needed to charge at the beginning and you were well aware of your allowance. Leon is a designer and he might not know what the construction cost may be and that's why we come out with a project manager to do the finals. We told you that we needed to add $2000.00 in order to come to an agreement and you didn't approve so we didn't start the job. We didn't force you to pay us anything.

The team that worked on the small bathroom made some decisions without asking, however the second team working on the master bath checked with us on every decision. On the few items that needed correcting in the small bathroom, all changes were made at no additional cost. Overall the quality was excellent and the work was completed quickly. We are very pleased with the outcome.
Description of Work: Renovated a small hallway bathroom and a master bath. We removed a small box shower and bath tub and made a larger shower in place of the bathtub. We built a linen closet in place of the old shower. Entire bathroom was renovated with new tile, floor, cabinets, etc.

initially it went well, they seemed to be organized and on schedule. but they never cleaned the house after work, so all the drywall and tile cutting damage built up. The third bath we were forced to renovate (wasn't in the original plan or budget) due to the damage they caused. All their workers used everything they installed in our house! I begged them to clean up! since we weren't living in the house during the construction they said it didnt matter. a lot of damage was done to the original structure. The baths were caulked with regular caulk not waterproof. I have to have all the caulk in the shower removed and the tile re grouted and re caulked. very disappointed after weeks of construction..... the kitchen plumbing failed on first use! they came out to fix it, damaged a brand new Bosch dishwasher, claimed it wasn't their fault and tried to charge me. They would discount the charge if I gave them glowing reviews on Angies list! (have this in a text if anyone wants to see it!)
Description of Work: two baths and a kitchen and a wet bar. another bath added after construction started
The remodel was fabulous. The project manager Burak handled all the details promptly including my questions and suggestions. Hector did the work and provided several great suggestions while installing tile and painting. They were incredibly prompt and left the area cleaned up every evening. I am the one that gave them a "D" in another review and I regret that now. After further discussions with Leon and Burak, we were able to sort things out and as real professionals, continued to work closely with us. One of the best features of working with them is they stay with the job from start to finish. We had no breaks in the work! The price was competitive and we chose them because of their high ratings. I want to say that they deserve those ratings based on our work with them. Great Job folks!!!
Description of Work: Master Bath Remodel. Our bathroom was 36 years old and needed a complete makeover. Shower, toilet, floor, cabinets, lighting, painting, sink/counter tops.
