Wow...just wow. I wanted a small upgrade for my kitchen, so planned to replace the cabinet doors and upgrade my 20 yr old laminate countertop to a new high definition laminate - I am going to be selling my house and the likelihood that someone will rip it out and start again is high - so investment was intended to be small. What a shock when I got the pricing for the new laminate! It was very close to the all in price of the quartz. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't go with quartz from a reputable company at this price? Sofia was amazing from the beginning - responsive, helpful - and quite friendly. She delivered far above my expectations! The installers were equally awesome. I was measured on a Tuesday and installed Friday...I could not believe it. The work is impeccable, there was little to no mess and the gentlemen installing cleaned up everything they took out. I would gladly use this company again for my next home!

The provider did an excellent job. Very responsive to any concerns (before and after the install) and very pleasant to work with.

There were some problems. They were fairly amenable to make things right after the fact. Prior to the job, I spoke to a few different people and had different experiences with each, both good and bad. Also, I got an email late the night before the job was to be done that asked me to respond to confirm my appointment. The problem that was that I did not receive until late in the day and missed it until after the job had been done. In this email they mentioned that they were going to charge additional charge for tax that was not noted in the deal itself but they removed it once I mentioned it. The installer was a little crass and was complaining about the job as he was doing it. He presented me with a survey that was specifically about the installers work but stood over me the entire time I filled it out which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. Overall the job is done and it's okay but i was am not 100% satisfied with it. The only reason I would use them again is if I couldn't beat their price or couldn't find another service provider close to their price.

From start to finish, Sofia Dolan was delightful to work with on our project. We had obtained estimates from several competing firms, but Richstone beat the other prices and performed additional services and also provided top quality. Sofia's communication by email was prompt, thorough, professional, and informative. The installation team, led by George, was prompt, efficient, and flexible in making suggestions and providing solutions. All of the work was accomplished in one day and the results were an amazing transformation in our kitchen. We highly recommend the Richstone team for your home remodeling projects.

Everything went great with this purchase from Richstone Marble and Granite, a family owned business. When my wife and I went to the Richstone office to select the color and type of granite, the sales manager Sofia Dolen was very personable and attentive in providing us the pros and cons of various granite and quartz samples, and answering all of our questions. When the technician came to measure the countertops, he was very professional and quickly made the measurements. The installation team removed the old countertop and installed the granite countertops without any issues. We are very happy with our beautiful new countertops, and would recommend Richstone to anyone looking to have countertop installation.

The work was contracted the last week of October and was promised to be completed by Thanksgiving. Their final work was on December 21, 2015. Very Late, The quartz countertops they replaced were perfect. No problem there. The tile backslash installed had uneven surfaces and they had to remove and replace a number of tiles after I pointed them out to them. The biggest hastle was with the tile floor. They had absolutely no quality control and only replaced tiles when I pointed out many, many uneven tiles over the course of several weeks. The grout seams were never filled in to a consistent appearance. Even after replacing probably two dozen tiles throughout various areas of the floor, I could still point out numerous uneven tiles today. I basically paid them their final payment to get the constant mess out of my house that I had just moved into. Trust me- I had tile floors put in four separate rooms in my previous house by three different contractors and never had to point out one problem to any of them.

Working with Richstone was a great experience. Sofia and Michelle were very helpful and responsive, always available to answer questions or put together an updated quote (which happened multiple times since we changed our specifications quite a bit - including 36 hrs before the install). They handled it quickly and professionally throughout. They made the process easy and pleasant - from setting up appointments for us to view slabs; to installing not just the counters but also the sink, faucet, and disposal; and arranging for a separate install of a new cooktop (on the same day as the counter install). It was a delight to work with them from start to finish.

We actually had a really hard time finding anyone that would even take on this project. Our old glass undermount sink was attached with anchors into the granite counter top and no one wanted to touch the project. Richstone came and knocked the job out in no time and we couldn't be happier with the results.

We were simply amazed with the timeline from our initial on-line inquiry to the installation of the countertop. Richstone is definitely a business geared towards quality customer service in a timely manner. We first contacted Richstone on Tuesday, October 13th. We received a call the next day from Michelle who listened and answered all our questions about the type of countertop we were looking for. She invited us to come by the showroom when we could, but since we had to go out of town the next day, we made an appointment (no set time), and decided to stop by on Monday, October 19th. When we arrived we met with Michelle, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Once again, she answered our many questions, gave us some great insights and tips, took us to see the slab used to make our countertop, and gave us a tour of the work area. She gave us her undivided attention, and made us feel very comfortable with her professional and courteous demeanor. The next day, Roberto came to our house and took the exact measurements for our countertop. He too was very professional and courteous. Two days later on Thursday, October 22nd, Mr. Dolan (owner) and Gana (sp) arrived about 11 a.m. to install the countertop. They also installed an undermount sink (that we had selected previously) and drilled out the hole for the faucet. It should be noted that this was the only cut that had to be made in the house since the location of the faucet is determined once the countertop and sink are in place. In fact, when the faucet cut out was being made by Mr. Dolan, Gana was standing right next to him with a high-powered vacuum to suck up the dust as the cut was being made. In all, the entire countertop installation and faucet cut out process from start to finish took about 1-1/2 hours. As is evident, the amount of time from our visit to the showroom to the installation of the countertop was less than 4 days. From our conversation with other countertop provides, we had expected it to take 2 to 3 weeks from start to finish. Notes: 1. Richstone would have installed the plumbing for an additional charge, but we had already arranged for our own plumber to install a special disposal and faucet. 2. At our request Richstone cut and installed a 2" backsplash cut to 2cm thickness all around. (The normal countertop thickness is 3 cm or a little over 1".) 3. At our request, Richstone made and polished a piece from the sink cut out for us to use as a cutting board for a nominal cost. I should note that from our research it stated that you could cut directly on the Silestone, but we are just being cautious. The bottom line to our review of Richstone Marble & Granite - They're a great company to do business with. Their owner and staff were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and very accommodating to our needs and requests. They definitely deserve their "A" rating.

We moved into our home 4 months ago and ended up having to do some major renovations that we didn't expect to do. We have zero experience in this and didn't know what we were doing. This was the only company we encountered that we really felt like cared about doing a good job. Jalima, Michelle and Sofia are all amazing and so helpful. They were responsive and proactive in helping us find the granite we wanted. Once selected, we went into their shop and they helped us lay out what pieces of granite we wanted for the countertops. It turned out perfectly. They were also the best priced that we could find. We needed to find someone to finish a surround on our fireplace and went through countless estimates but couldn't find anyone to do the job. Altho they are a granite company, Gene is fabulous. He installed a stone ledger panel and made a floating mantel for us. This was done in 3 days and we are thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Richstone. The team there is fantastic !

Richstone was accommodating, doing a mock-up counter edge sample without our asking, and they built and installed a sample section to make sure that the thick countertop we requested looked correct. Sofia and Michelle were willing to answer all questions via email, which is what worked best with my work schedule. The installers were pleasant and considerate, and Gene was pleasant to work with. Installation the countertops was shortly after we placed the order. We later also decided to have them install subway tile. We opted for a Silestone product instead of the brand used in their advertisements, and opted for a thick counter look which drove up the project cost, but we were pleased with the finished product. They do a great job of a "laminated edge" which gives the appearance of a very thick slab- check out their samples in their showroom. They may not be the cheapest, but they are far more attentive than the big box stores! Strongly recommended.

Amazing experience. From start to finish everything was communicated well. The installers were extremely professional and did a fantastic job. They were punctual and when completed they made sure everything was cleaned up in the kitchen.

We selected Richstone because of the great reviews on Angie's List and we were extremely happy with the work done. - the reviews are right! We walked into Richstone for the first time on a Friday morning and had the exact slabs selected, countertops measured, slabs cut/fabricated, installed and work-area cleaned by the following Sat (8 days), and this was a 100+ sq-ft job. The actual installation start-to-finish was done in just one day (including clean-up). What a welcome difference to most contractors! Our interactions with all of the Richstone team (the owner, Sophia, Michelle, Gene,....) was informative, very professional and very helpful. The installers took their time to talk us through a couple of (very minor) issues, they asked us how we wanted to handle them, and they did a great job installing, We couldn't be happier with Richstone (if only all contractors could be this easy to work with!). As an additional plus, there are 3 granite warehouses within a mile of Richstone so the the slab selection is very easy. We have no reservations in saying we highly recommend Richstone for any granite work in the NoVA/MD/DC area.

Wow, I am so impressed with this Richstone Marble and Granite LLC. Every single person I interacted with was top notch. Their customer service is excellent. Sofia and Jalima stayed in touch and were easy to work with. They listened to my concerns and addressed them. They asked questions when needed. The person who measured was great as were the installers, polite, pleasant, professional, experienced. This business is what all businesses should aspire to. We agreed on the project on a Wednesday, the stone was ordered and delivered by Friday to their headquarters, and the cut countertop was installed on Tuesday am in under an hour. The workmanship on the countertop is flawless, it brings the kitchen to a whole new and wonderful level. I could not be happier with my experience with Richstone or with the finished product itself. The corners and polished cut of the countertop are so smooth they are almost soft to the touch. The flecks of blue quartz in the countertop echo the blue of the floor tiles and sky, the effect is just stunning. In an area as high stakes as kitchen creation/renovation, it was a rare pleasure to not feel nervous about things going as they should. This company follows through on what they say. We learned about them through an Angie's List deal and chose them based on high reviews. We agree with all the praise for Richstone and are thankful to have found them. We recommend them without reservation!

This is a top notch company. They were professional and punctual. They quoted me a time frame and they were right on. The house was cleaned when they left and while working they were mindful of their surroundings. What impressed me very much was Sofia Dolan, the sales manager. I have used quite a few Angie's list contractors lately and Sofia kept in touch with me during the whole process and emailed me to make sure I was happy and everything was up to my expectations. That was a nice personal touch that I appreciated. I LOVE my new counters!

The installation went well but for some reason the section behind the stove top was missing but they came back the next day and installed the missing section.

Gene, Michelle and team did a great job from initial measurements to final installation. We wanted to update our kitchen that had darker granite countertops and a black ceramic tile backsplash to something that would brighten up the kitchen a lot more. Gene came by to take measurements and gave us helpful design ideas. Once we selected our quartz countertops, mosaic tile backsplash, sink and faucet, we scheduled our installation and Gene and his team took over from that point and took care of the rest of the process (demolition, gas reconnect, plumbing, installation, quality control, and clean-up). They did a quality job and it took two days with a couple follow-up visits to check on things. Now our kitchen is a lot brighter and more modern looking. There were only a couple minor issues with spacing of tile around the receptacle boxes, which Gene took care of right away. I am now able to freely install new switches, outlets and face plates.

It went really smooth. It took only 1 day and half from start to finish. Gene and Michelle were great. Thank you once again for everything!

We love our new counters! Michelle and Richstone were able to find us an amazing price on our new SuperWhite marble counters and worked around our schedules. The installers did make one small mistake (cut a hole for an electric outlet too small), but they were able to come back and correct this at no cost. Recommended!

The job was initiated as soon as the tile came in. Installation was well done and installers were friendly, helpful and efficient. Cleanup was performed immediately after install. Installation took 2 days total with a 3rd visit for final sealing. All Richstone employees were completely helpful and patient with our requests and questions. This is the second time we used Richstone. The first job was granite countertop. This job also went equally well and was the main reason for using them the second time for the back splash. I would definitely use this organization again

The process was very smooth and the turn around time was great. The installer was very nice and explained things to me. The only thing I didn't like was they wanted to charge me an extra $40 for the dishwasher anchor because it wasn't included in the install. I checked online and the part only costs $10. For the price they wanted for it I might as well have gotten another square foot of granite.
