During a recent heat wave, I called L&B Universal for an estimate; they arrived the same day as my call. I got two other estimates before selecting Universal. They agreed to install 38 hours later, on a Saturday. Alex and his crew arrived on time and completed both AC & Heat systems in six hours. They were neat, professional and the new system works far better than the old.

They did a very good job. When Alex came to give us an estimate, we were surprised by how affordable the estimate was. We had talked to 4 other companies and all those estimates were much higher. After waiting a couple weeks and talking with another customer who had also used L&B, we hired them. Alex answered all our questions in detail and was very pleasant. He wasn't just trying to sell us the most expensive unit. He made sure we installed a unit that fit us. I really appreciated that. He listened to my concerns about the noise over my piano. Now, it's calm and peaceful. The variable speed unit helped out a great deal with cutting out the noise. He combined the humidistat and the thermostat. They showed up on time and cleaned up very well. They were very professional, and we are very happy. They did the work how we requested. They took care of all our needs and concerns. I highly recommend them. If anyone is considering hiring them, do not hesitate. I've talked to others that had the same experience. There are other companies with many more positive reviews than L&B, but L&B has wonderful quality and I would recommend them.

All went excellently and as planned. They got the contract because of the price and time factor. Out of three bidders, I believe they offered the most for the least. All of this made for an easy decision.

Installers arrived ontime, worked until the installation was complete.Very professional. Salesman arrived midway through installation to make sure everything was going well. So far so good.

Spoke to Mr. Max Lee and Alex Jo. Had a great end to end experience, these guys are very customer-oriented. Our system went out during the first heat wave of the year. L&B made sure we could sleep in our own home. Company was very professional on the telephone. The estimate was timely and accurate. The men doing the work were courteous and respectful. I HIGHLY recommend these guys! They do what they say and say what they do.

The supervisor Alex Jo arrived with his team to do the work in time as scheduled. The staff worked deligently and well under his guidance as a team. Alex particularly, was courteous, efficient, professional and responsive to my concerns and questions. He seemed very knowledgeable, promptly answered questions and put me at ease with the concerns I had. He even took time to answer questions not related to the specific job but in his field of work. The work was completed in time. I compliment L&B Universal for excellent staff such as Mr. Alex Jo. I was impressed with him from the start when he came to assess and provide the estimate for the job. He looked at the project from all angles and even discouraged me from buying a more expensive system providing no more benefits or efficiency than the system now in place. He explained the benefits of the different systems and recommended the most efficient and economical one. I was also happy to learn of L&B's generous guarantee of 100% satisfaction for full 3 years on purchase of a new system. Given my experience with their efficiency and expertise I would recommend L&B Universal to friends, family and neighbors and would definitely call on them for any future projects.

L&B Universal did a great job installing my new heat pump. The sales rep (Alex) gave me a great price far below the other 4 price quotes I recieved. He was very professional and he worked with me when I wanted to swap the thermostat provided in the package deal with my own thermostat. The thermostat I wanted wasn't going to be available until the first week of May (latest touchscreen honeywell thermostat), but Alex said that he would come out when I got the thermostat and install it for no extra charge. He even knocked off $100 from the package deal price because I wasn't going to go with their thermostat. L&B Universal was very flexable in regards to the installation date. On the day of the installation the crew of 4 arrived promptly at 8 am and completed the job around 3:30 pm. The crew was very professional and left their working spaces cleaner than before they arrived. So far my HVAC system is working great! Also L&B Universal provided a three year labor warranty as well as a two year maintenance contract (much better warranty than their competitors offered).

The entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. This was a very revealing experience for me. Living in Loudoun county Virginia I am so used to contractors trying to take advantage of people because of the relatively high average income here. L & B Universal is not one of these predatory contractors. The most amazing thing I learned about this experience was the almost unbelievable disparity in the estimates. One of the bidders (they used to own the Sears Tower) was more than twice what I was happy to pay and am very satisfied with L & B Universal! I highly recommend.

I was very impressed by Alex, the L & B Universal sales rep. Alex didn?t waste my time with any sales gimmick, he didn?t play around with the price, and he did not give me a speech on how great his company was. What he did do was thoroughly check out our heat pump and provide me with a very reasonable written quote. I got several estimates from other companies to compare, but none of the prices came close to L & B Universal Inc. I hired L & B Universal not just for the low price, but also for their professionalism. The day of the installation, four vans arrived right on time. Two technicians worked on the outside unit while the other two worked inside. They did not stop working until they were completely done and had tested the unit. After they were done, they cleaned up after themselves and left my house just the way it was when they arrived. One thing that I found out after I hired them was the great charater of the owner. When lunch time came around, I asked one of the technicians if they had any lunch plans. If not, I would be more than happy to order pizza from Pizza Hut. The Tech. told me that his boss may be coming over to bring them lunch if he could break away from his other service call. The Tech. told me that his boss tries to pick up lunch for his employees every chance he gets. I was so impressed by how caring his boss was that I was very happy that I chose L & B Universal. You don't find too many bosses buying lunch for their employees on a regular basis. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a great price and quality service.

The company representatives made AND KEPT their appointment times, accommodating my schedule. They examined the equipment, made a diagnosis and took time to educate me on what was wrong, how it happened, what options were available and what the likely outcome of each would be. They provided the best price/equipment/warranty when comparing apples to apples. Moreover, they came when they said they would, were quick, protected the floor where they walked and where equipment was moved, and cleaned up when they were done. They installed on their own initiative a system to keep the drain line cleaned/maintained. They installed a thermostat I purchased independent of their contract, which no competitor would do. I would have preferred they sized a backup electrical component down, but that's a preference, not a design requirement. It has been almost a year since this was installed. I've been through both a cooling and heating season with no apparent problems.
