It was good. They didn't do it well the first time so they came back and did it again. First performance wasn't acceptable but then they came back at no additional charge to fix what was not right. I had gotten two separate bids and I like the way, whoever I was dealing with that came, was communicating with me. I actually told him that his bid was $400 more and he lowered his bid to meet the other bid.

I liked they were on time, they were clean, they did a nice job. The carpet turned out pretty.

The work went great. It took a bit longer to get the product we selected in, but K&K kept us informed along the way. The installation was professional and careful and went great--we got a whole new house in a day!

Company was recommended by a friend and after viewing the reviews on Angie's list . It was pleasant and easy to deal with company. Price was reasonable. I bought the flooring from third party. K& K just installed it ( 307 SQ). Workers showed up on time, they were polite and professional. They did an excellent job. They even painted some of the baseboards and moved the heavy furniture. Also, cleaned and put felt pads on sofas so it won't scratch the floor.

They were fantastic. James was punctual, flexible, and overall the work was of very highly quality!

Very pleased and satisfied with K&K Hardwood Floor. I worked with Mike the sales manager. He was a pleasure to work with. He was very prompt with his estimate appointment (if he's running late he will call you) and accurate and fair with the estimate itself. He helped me pick out the perfect floor that matched what I had downstairs 100% and rather than trying to make me buy the 2.25 boards, thankfully he said I should go with the 3.25 ones for just a little more The cost to go with the 3.25 over 2.25 was negligible. I really appreciated that. Other stores were trying to convince me to go with the 2.25 inch boards because that's what they had in stock. No hardwood floor company is going to have all good or all bad reviews. But I am so glad I went with K&K Hardwood. The best part of it all was that I don't feel like I had to pay a premium to get premium service. K&K's price is very reasonable and fair. They might even have one of the lowest, if not lowest price in the region but don't let that be the reason you pick K&K. They really do good work. I'm one happy customer.

It was excellent. We have had hardwood floors done in the past. They were very conscientious and did not rush.

We found this provider through Angie's List and they met our expectations. The provider made it so easy for us to select new flooring. When first product chosen was unavailable with in our time frame, they were able to find us a similar product. Once we saw the second product we liked it better. They ordered the area rug carpet, cut it to size, bound the edges and included two runners cut to size. Also provided the perfect size pad to prevent slipping. In the kitchen, they moved the range, fridge, and table without problems. The tiles are straight and they were able to correct a problem in front of the dishwasher that was previously there. The team we had worked so hard for 11 hours to get our flooring installed in one day. We can not say enough good about this company.

The process was amazing. The person I worked with, James, had great communication from start to finish. The price was fair, and the quality of the work was great. He always got back to me in a timely manor.

K & K was excellent to work with. I worked with James So in store, and with him he produced a very fair and competitive price to do my main level floors, stairs, and upper level hallway (about 1700 sq. ft.). The work was flawless, and the workers were clean, polite, professional, and paid attention to detail. I'm really happy I went with them, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Exceptional service, value, and all done in a timely manner.

I had a good experience with KK. James was very professional and very responsive in his community. The crew was very professional, they moved furniture very carefully and added felt pads to the furniture so that the floor doesn't get scratched, they also covered other areas to protect from dust. They did a very good job with the instalation - my floor looks great. They also cleaned up the area very well after they completed their work.

Excellent company. The quality was obvious from the moment they walked in. They immediately surveyed for any damages, unlevel surfaces, basement to see if any plumbing/electrical could be seen from below. They wrapped everything in plastic to keep free from dust. They removed doors where needed to access the floors. They kept me fully informed throughout the project and confirmed if certain pieces of wood I would like installed or put to the side (ones with really dark knots). We used another company for this exact same job and they did not do any of these quality control measures. I will recommend them to everyone and use them again if needed. Thanks and Great job.

K & K Hardwood Floors has a wonderful showroom and an attentive showroom worker, Jane, that I worked with to choose the flooring. The floors were installed on July 14, 2015. They looked beautiful. Unfortunately, by July 23, 2015, one area of the flooring had risen, creating a "speed bump" in the kitchen. Once I notified the guy in charge of my installation, John, about the problem. He was very quick to come out and see it. The problem was fixed within a few days. However, it was just the beginning of three "speed bump" problems. He recommended that I obtain a dehumidifier to remove the moisture that he said was being released by the concrete. He said the concrete must have absorbed a lot of water during the refrigerator water leak. So my handyman lent me his dehumidifier. I've used it round-the-clock, and emptied it faithfully for six months. Meanwhile, I've been in touch with John, who comes out every couple of months to check on the largest "speed bump," which is also in the kitchen. Each time he says, we should wait and see if the bump will eventually go away. It's February 5, 2016, and my family and I are living with exposed subfloors in the kitchen, front hall, and living room. We are tripping over flooring, and I can't entertain or host volunteers over, for fear someone else will trip. There is a piece of subfloor that one of the workers cut out, which can be lifted out to see the concrete. My handyman told me there should be a plastic barrier between the concrete and the plywood. I am losing my patience.

I highly recommend K&K. Our house had been rented out and we were seeking to have new flooring installed before we moved back in. We sought estimates from three companies and K&K was the best price and had good reviews on this site and on Washington Checkbook. It was such a pleasure working with James So, the owner. After having the hardwood installed we decided at the last minute to replace flooring in basement and James worked in our schedule to have it installed--including laying the carpet on Sunday--before our movers showed up. The workers were very professional, always showed up on time or communicated if there was a change. I don't anticipate needing new flooring soon after doing all this work, but I will certainly use this company again if I do. My only regret was not having the existing hardwood on the main level of the house refinished; we sought an estimate for that and James gave us one, but commented that he didn't think it really needed it. Another company said the same thing, so we didn't do it. I appreciated their honesty. But our renters had a 65lb. dog and the floor is badly scratched and even with all of our rugs, it still bothers me. Will do this for sure if we rent out again in the future. You cannot go wrong with K&K.

K&K did a great job and were very easy to work with. I worked with James and he was great. I had to modify the schedule and he worked with me without any hassles. I bought a solid hand scraped hardwood that was on sale and love the results. The installation team was very professional. I would go with them again.

I can't say enough great things about the company, which had been highly recommended by a fried. I interviewed seven companies before hiring K&K. Two of the companies never provided quotes, which is very frustrating. My house has two large curved steps leading from the foyer into the library and also stairwell. A few of the companies wanted me to square it in order to put the hardwoods in. One company who bid higher than K&K didn't include the cost of the stairs but could provide the name of someone else who could do the work. The last company I interviewed listed a quote almost double the quote I received from K&K! It took three days to do the work - day one was the carpet and then two days for the hardwood. The men who did the installing worked hard all day. One of the last things was the curved stairs. It looks like a work of art. Perfect. I recommend the company highly.

K&K was able to work within our busy schedule to provide an estimate and perform the work. We moved all furniture out ourselves with the help of our son and nephews, and K&K started the next morning at 8. They finished while we were away for the weekend, and when we came home we were so pleasantly surprised by the smoothness and color! A great improvement on the overwork and never refinished 15 year old wood floors! We admired the floors for 2 weeks before hiring movers to help us move the furniture(recommend Lamont's Small Moves, another Angies List business). So happy we chose K&K!

We are VERY happy with the new floors and highly recommend K&K Hardwood Floor Inc. We solicited three estimates to remove existing hardwood and carpet and replace it with hardwood. John Kim provided a fair estimate to do the work and, perhaps equally important, we were very impressed with his attention to the details while preparing the estimate. The crew that performed the work was very professional and the quality of the work they did was outstanding. They showed up on time every day and worked as long as they needed to each day to complete the job in 3 days. There were no issues/problems with the installation. I will use K&K for all of my future flooring needs.

K&K floors did a fantastic job installing Brazilian Tigerwood hardwood flooring on the first level of our house. This is our second time using K&K and they did not disappoint. Our salesman, John, was knowledgeable and easy to deal with and not pushy and helped us find the exact flooring we sought. The price was very competitive and they applied a additional discount for us as a returning customer. The install team did a great job! They arrived on time and make quick work in tearing up the old floors and prepping for the new hardwood. They worked quickly and cleanly and finished installing the entire three rooms and foyer in one day. WOW! The floors look great and really changed the way the house looks. I would highly recommend K&K to anyone looking for hardwood or laminate flooring. Great prices,service, and installation. Thank you K&K .

Peter was the salesman and measurer. He did a good job overall. In the initial measurement, he missed the fact that the old wood flooring was glued down and could not be easily removed without major damage to the underlying sipcrete. When the installation team led by Areli arrived, they quickly identified the problem and called Peter. Peter immediately came out to review the situation. He won my confidence when the first thing out of his mouth was, "I made a mistake." From then on we worked to solve the problem and not to assign blame. The old hardwood floor over the entryway and kitchen would have to remain and the new flooring over the carpeted space would have to be raised by adding a cork pad. This added an extra $2000 to the cost. But we concluded that we didn't have any choice because of what had been installed years ago. Peter knocked off some of the cost of the cork pad. An additional problem was the original transitions from wood to carpet and the transition into the kitchen. These were not done well and detracted from the look of the condo. Areli and team worked hard to now make all of those transitions seamless and level. They created a smooth, no-transition path all the way from the front door to the back of the condo and into the kitchen, a vast improvement. Peter made sure that we were satisfied during the work and after the work was completed. Areli and his team did an excellent job on the installation and cleanup. They worked continuously and hard. The were punctual. When they finished it was in "move in" condition. We could not be happier with getting this major improvement done quickly and professionally. We would recommend K&K for any future flooring work.

A fantastic job by K&K Flooring...the entire house completed in 4 days -- a huge job...K&K removed carpet, old hardwood and marble and installed new hardwood...installers were courteous, professional and fast...a quality job by K&K.
