These guys are the best. They installed hardwood floors in my family room and kitchen and foyer last year and then I had them come back to do the living room and dining room this year. They matched the old floor perfectly. Looks beautiful. Highly recommended.

They did a good job. It was very quick, they originally said it would take one day but it took two days and they didn't change our price based on that. The finish is pretty darn good thus far. It turned out well. They were really responsive. He isn't the cheapest guy in town but he is good.

We originally purchased some laminate flooring through another flooring store, but had reservations after doing some extensive reviews on the internet. We cancelled our order, and decided to use K&K Flooring. From the first phone call, to the time the flooring was installed, the customer service was first-rate. They did everything in their power to make sure that we were happy with our choice and the floor after installation. The day after installation, I noticed a blemish in the laminate that I didn't catch at the time of installation. It was very minor, but it really bothered me. When they called to see if we were happy, I mentioned that I was seeing part of the floor that I wasn't happy with. They came out a few days later and replaced it with new flooring. The installers were great and did a wonderful job. They were very professional, and did everything to be careful when moving furniture around. K&K Hardwood Floor, Inc. K&K Hardwood Floor, Inc., were good, but a little pricey. They matched everything perfect.

Their estimate was nearly $1,000 lower than a competitor. The representative came to my home to do an estimate and brought wood samples, and later went over several more options with me at his store. He sent 6-7 workers, who were very efficient and did the whole job in a day. When the baseboard we chose didn't reach the same height as the baseboard they had removed from my floor, he sent the workers back to paint the wall space above it for no extra charge. They are the only company I found with a 5% off Angie's list coupon, which is much more generous than competitors' coupons on this website.

Joe came to our house several months ago to provide us an estimate for new hardwood floors. I got estimates from three companies and K&K was by far the best on price and customer service. Joe spent a full hour with us at our home explaining the different wood and subfloor options. We were able to get a perfect match to the other areas of hardwood in our house. We waited a few months before deciding to do the work (a roof replacement became necessary first). i called K&K back and they agreed to honor their quote from six months prior. The guys showed up on time and worked very efficiently. They were respectful of our house and furniture. Everything was covered to prevent damage or dust collection. The work looks great. We could not be happier. They put scuff pads on all our furniture prior to putting it back on the new floors. Everything was left clean. Great crew, very professional. Would certainly recommend these guys

A good report on Angie's list is very important to K&K. They will go out of their way to make sure that the customer is completely satisfied with the work. Mr. Chou is very easy to work with, and was able to reschedule work to coordinate when other contractors we also had working fell behind schedule. Friends and professional contractors alike have commented on the obvious skill and attention to detail in the work. The foyer was done in a diamond pattern with a boarder of the same tile, which was cut from the larger peices. The hardwood floor is a beautiful natural Brazilian Cheery. The installer had several boxes open at a time to arrange the various colors of the wood and lengths into a truly luxurious looking floor. The carpet is top quality and expertly installed. The carpet was thicker than what we had, requiring modifications to doors and frames. K&K's expert carpenter appeared the next day to make sure everything was properly modified at no additional cost. All installers handled our furniture with great care. We would not hesitate to use K&K again and recommend them to friends.

Our flooring search began with Home Depot (they came out twice for estimates and still didn't get it right...) so then we signed up for Angies List!! We chose 3 companys with high ratings to give us estimates and ultimately chose K&K Flooring. My husband and I went to the Chantilly showroom where the rep was NOT able to give us any pricing info and the samples did not have any pricing info on them.... He did however set us up with an appointment with Patrick Lui, Sales Manager. Patrick was terrific! He answered every call in a timely manner, he answered all my questions and made the experience much more pleasant than some other reps who had come out to provide us estimates. We chose Bruce hardwood floors and the team that installed them was excellent. I had precise expectations and Patrick was able to communicate those to the install team perfectly. The cuts on the floor and moldings were very good. In all but one spot, the work was more than satisfactory. After the team left, around a corner on one wall there was a large area of disappointment... in connecting the old molding with the new molding, someone left a 6-9 inch area of destroyed drywall. Fortunately, I am pretty good at drywall repair and was able to make it look good again. This might influence my overall rating with this company, but the beauty of the floors and the rest of the work completed was very good. This includes the fact that when bringing in the toilet to re-install it one of the guys was kind enough to point out that there was a small leak between the tank and the bowl. He asked if I wanted him to turn on the water, I declined and was able to get new gaskets installed before turning on the water again. Therefore, preventing any possible damage a leak could have caused in the future to the new wood floors. There was a 3 inch scratch on one of the stair treads. I reported it to Patrick, and he asked that I live with it for a month and if it still bothered me, to just let him know. Well, it has been 6 months now and the floors look great. My over all experience with K&K Flooring was very good. I would use them again and I have already reccomended them to friends and neighbors. All who have seen our new hardwood floors, agree, they are beautiful. Thanks K&K Flooring!

Patrick Liu, K&K's sales manager, gave us great advice, and a great price. The installation took only two days. We are extremely happy with our new hardwood floors.

We were very happy with the results. K&K was the first company we contacted based on a friend's recommendation. After the consultation, I continued to shop around for 6-7 months before finally deciding to move forward with installation with K&K. The crew installing the hardwood floors arrived promptly and the quality of the work was superb. Patrick, who helped us with the sale, was very patient with all my questions and reassured me of my concerns regarding our tricky custom curved steps from the foyer to the living room and from the living room to the dining room. It was better than I imagined it. We did receive cheaper bids, but felt that K&K offered better quality and service. We were not disappointed. We would recommend them to anyone.

The work was for a one bedroom condo; about 690 square feet. I talked with the owner who came out to look at my property then gave us an estimate. He then scheduled everything with his office. Overall the guys came and did a fantastic job; the place looks great. I am very happy with the experience I had with them and definitely would recommend them again for anyone else for installation of hardwood floors.

They were very professional and gave us extremely prompt service. They completed the staircase in one day. The price of the job was very fair.

The 4 installers came on time when they said they'd be here. They finished most of the floor in 1 day. They came back 2 days later to put on new baseboards. The whole installation took around 14 hours. They were very nice. The floor looks absolutely great. They took away all their construction remains (even the baseboards my father and I demoed ourselves.) They didn't damage any parts of the house except for 2 small spots that were dinged, but no big deal to us. They came back a few weeks later to fill in some gaps between the floor and baseboards. (We didn't have quarter rounds installed) because of the uneven subfloor in some areas. Overall, their customer service representatives, esp Sean the sales manager were extremely accommodating and helpful. They weren't pushy. The workmen were very clean and didn't laze around. They worked very hard. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing solid hardwood floor to be installed. Their policy of 50% payment up-front and the rest when customer is satisfied shows they really care about their work.

We were very pleased with the work overall. A word about communication is necessary. Firstly, despite the fact that the estimate had been completed the same day, it took 2 weeks and many phonecalls to receive it. It was due to some glitch with the company's internet it seems. Secondly, it took 3-4 phone calls to verify if both projects (ceramic and hardwood) would be installed on the same day. Thirdly, the suggestions made by the salesrep, Cho or Joe, were not communicated to the installers. These alternative configurtions in the installation were the only reason we had opted for the more expensive solid walnut. We need to blend and perfectly match with existing walnut floors. Our guess is that they would have caught it in time. However, good communication was an issue for us during this project.

Our home is built on a concrete slab, so (except for the stairs and upstairs hallway) we had to use engineered wood as opposed to solid hardwood. Engineered wood is slightly more expensive than solid hardwood. This is important only because the estimates we received were more expensive than the estimates or actual invoices for three of our neighbors who recommended K&K Floors to us. One estimate and one invoice were for installation of hardwood floors this year, but both houses used solid hardwood. Our salesman (Mr. Cho) never adequately explained to us why he was charging us more than our neighbors. His only explanation was that engineered wood costs more than solid hardwood, but our research indicated the difference was only 15 cents per square foot. We had a great deal of difficulty getting responses from Mr. Cho. This went on for almost a month before we finally decided to accept his estimate and proceed with the work. The wood was supposed to sit in our house for a few days before installation, but it apparently did not arrive and we had to move the installation date by a week. When the wood was finally delivered, it was the wrong wood (which we discovered a few hours after delivery). We were able to get the correct wood delivered to our house that same day. Mr. Cho did not show up on the day of installation even though he had told me he would be here at the start of the job, and we were unable to reach him with questions during the day. POSITIVES: The workmen who installed our floors were excellent craftsmen, and we are extremely happy with the end result. The quality of the product we chose and the expertise of the crew that installed the floors exceeded our expectations. This was the best part of our experience. We really can't praise this crew enough. Our disappointment with K&K was due entirely to our experience with the salesman. He did apologize to us via email once the work was finished. Our neighbors, however, worked with a different salesman and had much better experiences.

K&K Flooring did an outstanding job on this entire project. From the initial call for an estimate to the final stages, the personnel from K&K Flooring provided professional service. Patrick Liu was especially helpful in providing suggestions and explanations of what work was needed on this project. Much to my surprise, on Saturday,Oct. 29 in the rain, snow and sleet, the installing crew arrived exactly on time. We discussed the fact that there was no place for them to cut the flooring since we did not have a garage at this townhouse. After a call to Patrick Liu we arranged for the job to be done on Nov.1. Once again the 4 man crew arrived exactly on time. For 9 hours they worked without stopping and completed the entire job by 6:00 PM. The crew was friendly and courteous throughout the day and they took care of us since we are Senior citizens. Before leaving, the crew cleaned up the areas and the front yard . I was concerned that the stairs would need carpet treads to avoid slipping. The crew technician explained that the treads were stained and polished in a manner that would avoid them being too slippery. Patrick advised us to try the stairs for a week or so to see how we felt about possibility of slipping. Unlike some companies, K&K does all of the work required for this project including the staining of the stair treads and risers. They delivered the wood on 10/27 so that it was acclimated for installation. Again, they arrived right on time. We are so very pleased with the completed project. The flooring is beautiful and is an exact match to the flooring on the main floor of the townhouse. We highly recommend this company because from start to finish they exhibited excellent professional service.

We stopped in the showroom in early October and looked at carpet swatches and flooring options. Arranged a measurement for later on that week. Two people showed up to measure and while one did most of the measuring, I spoke with the other about what we were pricing out (3 different configurations). After that was finished, I received the estimate via email a couple of days later with the options listed out, complete with flooring skus and several options to consider (we had requested the estimate with Bruce hardwood to match the currently installed wood in the foyer). After we agreed to move forward on one of the options, the owner came out to talk about the design and take a more in depth measurement for the hardwood. He also made sure that the carpet was of similar or better quality than the proposals we received from other vendors and to make sure we knew exactly what we were getting in regards to plushness and stain resistance. A few days before installation, they dropped off the hardwood to acclimate. A crew of two came in on the scheduled date and installed the hardwood. The following day, the carpet was installed. The next day Sunny called to check on our satisfaction where we had them schedule someone to come in to fix a minor issue overlooked by the carpet installer, which was taken care of the next business day (and likely would have been fixed the same day, but we were heading out of the house for the evening). For comparison, we also received estimates from Carpet Yard, who came out quite a bit higher on the hardwood portion, and just a hair under for the carpet portion, but after all was done, the actual installed carpet is of a higher grade than we had initially asked for for the quote. I will say this. English is NOT their native language, but they are really friendly and easy to work with. You might need to verify a few things over and re-explain what you are looking for but the quality of the service and the more than competitive prices make it worth your while. I believe it is under new ownership, as there are currently 2 websites (use kkfloor,com, NOT kkfloors.com), and queries on the older one might not be reaching the proper people, judging by a phone conversation I overheard while in the showroom. That said, the customer service I received was above and beyond what I would have expected. The installers were very professional and our floors look great. They completed the work on the dates they said they would. I would recommend their services to anybody!

The men came at 9am on the dot, and worked straight to 8:30pm. They were more than professional, they were gentlemen. They did everything to ensure I was happy, including moving furniture, sweeping, fixing molding. Patrick, the sales man was succinct and to the point, measured and gave me samples as to what would look good. He was absolutely correct. The carpets that were taken out were literally 20+ years old, so they all wore masks, to which I was grateful (as previous owners and I have multiple dogs/cats). I am now enamored with my house again, and love love love the floors. I will be completely honest and say that the price was NOT the cheapest that I had received in bids - but the quality and care, along with the type of mat, moving furniture and other details more than made up for this fact. I will be hiring them again sometime early next year to finish my basement. I would recommend this company to anyone.

They did an excellent job. They did everything they said they would, when they said they would. The gal in their office was delightful. We had trouble with our credit card payment because of the large amount, but they were very gracious through the whole thing.

They did a wonderful job. They arrived on the day and time they said they would. Were courteous and explained their process and the condition of our floors thoroughly. Now the floors absolutely glow, no annoying missed spots, or ridges of polyurethane left from uneven application. The surfaces are smooth and even, and the painted edges abutting the floor are clean of sealer and stain. I was especially pleased with their repair work. There had been two larger holes and 3 or 4 smaller ones. Rudy said he couldn't promise that the repair would be unnoticeable but unless you knew repair work had been done, you would think that the original floors had not held a radiator. I appreciated too that the repair was very reasonably priced. I can't wait to be able to do our second story rooms.

We never heard back from K&K Flooring

We had Patrick to our house in February for a quote. Fast forward five months, past cancer and chemo and medical bills, and we still had a few pennies to rub together, and more than ever realized our floors needed some TLC. I got back in touch with Patrick in early July. In February we initially had the quote prepared for a mix between hardwood (kitchen, living room, formal dining room, eat-in space) and carpet (den). Having had a few months to consider it, we wanted to do the whole floor in hardwood, essentially upgrading the old low-grade berber in the den, and also decided to tile the two small areas in the garage landing and the half-bath off of the den. K&K updated the quote quickly and had it back via email, and after a brief visit to the nearby showroom, we selected the product we were interested in. 3 1/2" plank gunstock. Scheduling the day long project was convenient, and since we had some timing flexibility and could afford to push it out a few weeks, they worked with our schedule. The team of three arrived just prior to the scheduled time. My wife + kids had vacated for the day to avoid disruptions to nap time, so the workforce had the house to itself during the day. The scope of work included moving and replacing all furniture, which was a service that we did not see with other quotes we received, or it was an add-on for additional expense. I stopped by at lunchtime to see how the project was going, and was impressed at the magnitude of visible progress that had been made. When I returned at 5:30 in the evening, the final pieces of furniture were going in, and they were applying puddy to the requisite nail holes and the toe molding cut lines to match the color of the wood. Candidly, it was amazing how quickly we forgot what our old floors (vinyl and old-school carpet, probably original to the house from 1984) looked like. A few final notes. We have two young kids, who have all manner of toys, many of which have no problem scraping or poking divots into hard wood. Needless to say, this didn't take time for a toy phone to come crashing down and take a small chunk out of our new perfect floors. With a 5-minute call-ahead, we stopped by the showroom and the team there had a can of color-matched puddy for us ready, at no charge which was a nice surprise experience. Also, K & K's quote was not the lowest we received. If we were making this investment in our home, and the sole motivating factor was to have it done on the cheap, I would have bought the wood wholesale and contracted out the install labor on my own. But what I'd read about K & K online, combined with the very convenient proximity of their showroom, and the fact that the only thing they do is hardwood floors, we were confident that slight overage we paid vs. other quotes was justified. It was then, still is. We really really like the floors.
