Description of Work: Purchased marble for Kitchen countertop, it was fabricated and installed. there was a problem with a dent in new cooktop which was placed during the installation.. Turns out the cooktop was under warranty and will be replaced but I believe that Fairfax Granite and Marble would have resolved the issue if it had not still been under warranty. Beautiful stone!

Description of Work: (this review is for the Fairfax store, not the Chantilly store) the company installed a granite countertop in a basement bar. this included a sink cut out and installation. their laser measurement equipment accurately mapped out the dimensions and irregularities in the walls, and the countertop fit very well. installation went quickly and smoothly. overall, the process from purchase to installation was professional, thorough, and high quality.

Description of Work: They put in a marble countertop for me. The problem is that I was led to believe that they do not use contractors, and have their own installers. On the day of the installation, two contractors showed up with a very long, heavy piece of marble. It was obviously too heavy for them to lift even standing on a flat floor, and I expressed this concern. Then, they proceeded to climb up the stairs with it and almost dropped it. After they got it up the stairs, there were several chips/dents on my hardwood stairs where they did in fact drop the marble, and a hole in the wall. I came back to check on things just as they were attempting to hide the places where they had damaged my stairs with brown marker! I let them finish the job and present me the paperwork just to see if they would tell me about the damage. Nope, nothing, until I pointed out the damage that they then owned up to. A couple calls ensued, and I got a small credit of $250 to cover the damage. But this was very disappointing. I had assumed that by paying full price for a vendor would get me quality service. On the bright side, the marble I got is beautiful, and they measured it well, and even accounted for a slight curve in my wall. So I am on the fence as to whether I would use these guys again or not. Choosing the marble and all that was convenient, and our salesperson was very nice.

Description of Work: Fabricated and installed a new soapstone kitchen counter. All personnel dealt with were top-notch, responsive, informative, friendly, and professional, from start to finish. This was a very pleasant experience for us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again. Love our new counter top!

Description of Work: After much search we found the perfect granite at Fairfax Marble. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us mark our stone for cutting. The cutting was amazing. They cut the granite to fit all the curves in our "straight" wall. The installers did a great job and the end result is wonderful. Would highly recommend Fairfax Marble

 + 0 moreWe contracted with Fairfax Marble and Granite for a granite counter top (78.48 sq ft). The company was neither the cheapest nor most expensive, but based on Angie?s list ratings, we had confidence that they would do good work. The first installation was awful - it looked like the fabricator spilled something on the counter, and a seam was discolored and ragged looking. We complained to the salesman (Warren) and sent in pictures. Warren agreed it did not look good, agreed to come to see it, and arranged to have the problem fixed. The result was that the company replaced the counter with the same color slab. The result is beautiful. We appreciate the concern and effort Warren put into correcting the problem.
Description of Work: Installation of 78.48 sq ft of granite countertop with Granite Shield.. The job included reinstalling the countertop due to defective workmanship in the original installation. We recommend that the granite be inspected closely before actual installation begins. Do ensure that the company will stand behind the quality of the job, as did Fairfax Marble and Granite. Get firm installation dates and times. The quality of the final result isexcellent.

They patiently waited for my construction to be completed and two months later I went back to choose the exact part of the slab that I wanted to use. They were very accommodating! Installation was quick and seamless.
Description of Work: Very good in every aspect including price. Erhan and Rob were very easy to deal with and I would happily recommend them!

They scheduled a date and time and were prompt in showing up. As they had estimated, the work only took around 3.5 hours. Everything was done according to the time, schedule and costs.

 + -1 moreThe company sent a contractor to give me an estimate. After I got the written estimate, I went to the showroom and picked out my granite. Once it was picked out I was informed that the cost would be higher than I have been quoted unless I was willing to have additional seams in the granite. Finally I settled for paying more and the installation was set up. The company sent a subcontractor who barely spoke english to install. They damaged the drywall and didn't want to repair it. The plumber was supposed to arrive at 1:30 or 2:00 and finally got here at 7:00. For some reason they couldn't complete the job and promised to return at 10:00 the following morning. They finally arrived at 11:00 and installed the faucet. They did not speak english very well either. Overall, the company was unreceptive to my complaints and although the granite looks great, I would never recommend anyone deal with this company.
