We went to the shop to pick out a slab of granite, setup an appointment to have one of their reps come over and measure all associated areas above lower cabinets and appliances where the granite was going and we discussed all specs and pricing. Within one week of that appointment, they came and installed the granite countertops within 2 hours or less. It went smoothly and looks great.

Fairfax Marble and Granite was the one of many granite warehouses that we looked at in the process of trying to pick out granite for our kitchen reno. They have two seperate warehouses (Merrifield & Chantilly) with a pretty varied selection. They are a "one stop shop" meaning they also fabricate your granite for you. We went on the weekends which was pretty busy especially at the Fairfax location. The salesmen did not appear high pressure and one at Chantilly was very invested in helping us pick out a granite that would look good with our cabinet color/design rather than one at the highest price point, which we really appreciated. He actually steered us away from a much more expensive slab that I really liked because he felt strongly it would not produce the look I would be happy with given my cabinet color. Unfortunately we just could not find a granite that "was it" and did not purchase from them in the end. Their prices also seemed a little on the higher end of other places, but nothing too extrememe. Since you are dealing with a product that can have many different price points based lots of factors, I can't really say their prices were much different from other places. Since we enjoyed the no pressure atmosphere and the salesmen seemed very knowledgeable I would absolutely recommend people check them out. If we take on another reno any time soon, I know Fairfax Marble will be first on our list of places to return.

Installation crews showed up on time, removed old countertop, installed granite, installed sink and cooktop. Plumber then arrived and hooked everything up. Very professional operation.

The whole process of working with Fairfax Marble and Granite was smooth and without drama, jus the way we wanted. Installation of the countertops was done about a week after our final paperwork was signed. The installation itself was done in a very professional manner, even when our old plumbing raised some challenges when connecting our new sink/disposal. Overall we're very pleased with the result and would recommend highly Fairfax Marble and Granite.

We recently hired Fairfax Marble and Granite to replace our kitchen countertops, the top of a kitchen island, and a countertop in a small powder room. They also installed new sinks in the kitchen and powder room. The choices of stone and the prices were excellent, and the quality of the preparatory design work, measurements, installation (including plumbing), and service were outstanding. We did not replace our cabinets, however we did have new appliances. The team was very careful both with removing the old countertops and working around the new appliances, in a tight space. Mehmet and his entire team were flexible and helpful at every turn. The original sales person had left during the early stages of the process, but the team worked around the change without losing a beat. The attention to detail in laying out the counter pieces with us and in fitting everything together along the natural lines in the stone was great. This is the place to go.

Fairfax Marble and Granite installed Carrara Marble counter tops in our kitchen. The marble that we selected was higher quality, cut thicker and less expensive than any of the other six companies we went to. Hanifi was an excellent window into what could and couldn't be done. He is a true professional and very detailed orientated answering any of our questions. The work was done flawlessly by Ben, Fredrick and Isaias. The piece that was cut out for the sink was turned into a great baking/cutting board. My wife says the looks and workmanship are exactly what she wanted which means I couldn't be happier. We will definitely use them again and fully endorse them.

This is a wonderful company. We have had experience with all kinds of contractors and home improvement/ home service companies, and Fairfax Marble & Granite stands out head and shoulders above them all! The sales representative who worked with us was extremely responsive to our preferences (and demands). He was always patient, and gave helpful suggestions, guiding us when we might have made a decision that wouldn't have worked as well. The installation team was top notch, and did a beautiful job. Even the plumber who removed and replaced faucet and garbage disposal during installation was efficient, extremely capable and did excellent work. I think what we like most about Fairfax Marble & Granite is that you can feel confident that they are very honest and stand by their product and installation.

Fairfax Marble and Granite did exceptional work on a granite countertop for an outdoor patio. Our outdoor kitchen was quite complex with a large curved granite top for a bar and multiple lower and upper level counters. From the start of the process, the sales person, Chris, did an outstanding job of answering our questions promptly and helping us pick the right stone. Mehmet was wonderful to work with on the fabrication. The person who came out to measure was willing to answer our questions. When the countertops were placed on our kitchen, everything went smoothly. The measurements were perfect and the installation crew spent a lot of time making sure that the grill and outdoor kitchen components fit nicely, granite was polished, and they put in the necessary steel supports around the grill and side burner. We were over the top excited with the results! We would definitely use them again for any granite needs.

My experience with Fairfax Marble and Granite was positive from beginning to end. I stopped by the Dorr Ave. location on a Friday afternoon and was met by Paul Greening. He worked with me throughout the process. First he provided me with a simple explanation of the process and sent me down to their HUGE warehouse to wander around and look on my own and see what I liked. He came down after about twenty minutes. We walked through the rows together and he explained the options and the pros and cons of the different stones. He knew every slab in the place! Paul's version of sales is education, information, and options. He encouraged me to look until I was satisfied with my choices. I went to the Chantilly location and looked at their slabs. I was helped by Mehmet in Chantilly. I ended up with some stone from Chantilly and some from Merrifield. Paul was very clear about the prices and went over the itemized statement to be sure I was comfortable with all the charges. He spent a long time helping me lay out how the stone would be cut. His experience as a cabinet maker was very helpful. He has a very good eye for how the pieces would work together. The man knows his product! He and Mehmet arranged the installation for a time that would work for me. Magy and Baysaa were the installers. They arrived on time, and did an exceptional job since I live in a townhouse, and they were having to carry very large pieces of stone up stairs. The finished products are beautiful. Simply put, they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, for the price they gave me. I can not recommend them highly enough!

While the price was higher than we wanted to spend, Fairfax Marble and Granite was the only fabricator that stocked the Taj Mahal marble that my wife wanted for the master bathroom vanity tops. They were top notch. We were able to review the slab and they masked off the areas for the new tops so we could pick the veining that best suited our design. When it came time for measurement, their people showed up on time and were very courteous. The tops were fabricated in shorter time than promised thus we were able to schedule installation earlier than expected. The installation team was professional and took all necessary precautions not to damage the existing walls as the tops fit between three walls.

I would give them a good recommendation. I think they were professional and did a good job.

The sales person in the Fairfax location, Paul Greene was very helpful and professional. He provided us with a soft sale --non agresive and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The only issue we had was with the Chantilly staff (that' why I don't give them all As) when we called for help due to a minor hot water issue. However, thanks to Paul's intervention it was quickly taken care of. We love our beautiful granite counter top and the installation was perfect! We would certainly recommend Fairfax Marble and Granite!

We were very pleased with our experience with Fairfax, Marble and Granite. They were very professional and easy to work with. The sales staff was responsive and the installation crew were prompt and professional. We could not have been more pleased.

Installation was smooth, lovely workmanship. The only snag was the water was not turned back on to my dishwasher, which I did not know until I tried to run it the next day. I was annoyed that my new dishwasher was on the fritz but figured out the cause shortly thereafter.The plumber should be more on his game.

We were looking for a specific color of granite that was not available at a lot of companies we contacted. Fairfax Marble and Granite had just enough of the color to complete our job. Everyone we worked with (from the staff at the store to the person that took the measurements to the guys that installed the granite) were very professional and punctual. We would definitely reccomend this company.

I walked into the showroom without an appointment and got instant help from Mehmet in choosing a granite slab and writing up the estimate for new countertops for my small kitchen (12" x 2" feet + backsplash), which I needed installed in one week in order to have complete by Thanksgiving. Fairfax Marble and Granite was able to meet this deadline. They came out to measure on time and then two installers came as scheduled, performed the work and left with everything cleaned up and intact. I have an L-shaped counter and they installed one solid piece of granite with no seams. I was very satisfied with the final work. Fairfax Marble and Granite is located in an industrial center with a small showroom - nothing fancy, but that's OK as I shopped around and their prices were fair.

Of the 3 vendors we contacted, Fairfax Marble gave us immediate attention and assistance in selecting our granite for 3 bathrooms. Their sales person Chris R., was very polite, knowledgeable about their product and very helpful. We were happy overall, but on our 2nd visit -- for which we'd made an appointment and taken our lunch hour during the work week to meet with him -- he was assisting another customer upon our arrival and we had to deal with another salesman. This required that we explain where we were in the process and it took much longer to finalize our order than anticipated. They were very polite and professional, but the 'follow through' and the communication to complete the job were not as good. After someone came out to measure we were told that we would receive a phone call to schedule installation. A week afterwards -- when we were waiting for that call -- we received a call that they had our granite and could install that same day. This did not allow for planning on our part to accommodate the installation and plan to take time from work to be home for it. On the day of the actual install, we were told they would come between noon and 3 pm. At 3:45 pm, my husband called to ask about the delay. They arrived on that Friday later than expected and started the work much later, so they would not be done in the 3-4 hour window they had promised. After a phone call to Chris, an additional installer was sent over so they could expedite completion of the job by 7 pm. Other than that glitch, the work was very professional and the end result is 3 gorgeous bathrooms.

All went pretty smoothly. We did have one snafu when one of the installers broke the corner off the piece of granite while carrying the piece into the house. They took the piece back to the shop and replaced it with another piece. The match on the second piece probably not as good as the original piece but I am satisfied. The salesman Chris was very patient and helpful. The installers and plumber were exceptional. Very detail oriented.

Chris along with everyone else we encountered at Fairfax Marble & Granite was awesome. They went above and beyond to help us. I can't say enough good things about our experience with them. Chris totally deserves a bonus!

I really liked this company. Had a nice interaction with Chris from Chantilly office. Great selection of granite. They matched a price from a competitor on the granite I liked. They were easy to set up measurement and install. They even came back to do a re-measure when my kitchen contractor didn't have the cabinets ready for the first measurement. Would definitely recommend them.
