I have had nothing but wonderful service from them. I have had a contract with them for several years.

As always, things were quite good when we have dealt with ACE heating as we've been their customer for many years with a service contract. We've extended this many times due to our satisfaction with this provider.

I left a voice message for Ace during the evening and they called me back first thing in the morning. They scheduled a 12-1:00 arrival time that afternoon and they showed up exactly as planned after calling to let me know they were en route. Fortunately, the repair required was pretty straightforward and the cost was far less than I feared it would be, The technician, Jeff, was very friendly and got to work right away. Explained what needed to be done (clear clogged pump and drain) and took care of it quickly. He also showed me a simple maintenance task that I could do to help prevent recurrence. Overall I was very happy with Ace's service and will continue to use them if needed.

I received a check for $480 shortly after the phone conversation I had with Ace. Kudos to Ace for showing me they do believe in outstanding customer service.

The initial diagnosis was that I was unable to change from heat to cooling. My blower motor fan was working. I noticed a smoke smell, so I went down and turned off the breaker to my A/C system. That's when I called ACE and they originally came out on the 23rd of May. I was going out of town for a week and have a dog in the house, so I needed to hopefully find a solution quickly. ACE sent their technician Jeff out to diagnose the problem. Jeff had originally worked on a problem for my A/C system in 2014. He's knowledgeable and responsive and was able to quickly find the problem. The thermostat board was the issue, it had a burnt relay and that was causing the problem. Since I had to leave on the 24th, he said to run the fan on continuous. I did as he recommended. In the meantime I had Jeff put in an order for a new thermostat board. I had a neighbor check in on my dog for me during the week. On the 30th, my neighbor noticed the fan wasn't running any longer. When I got back on the 31st, I contacted ACE to let them know I now had no A/C and would need them to get out as soon as possible to fix my issue. Initially, I had some issues with office personnel because after calling them on morning of the 31st and leaving a message, I received no callback. On Wednesday the 1st of June I again had to make a call to the ACE office to let them know I had no A/C and needed a technician to come out asap. I finally received a call in the afternoon to let me know that my thermostat board was in that they would be sending out Jeff later that evening. Jeff came later that evening and installed the new board and my A/C was up and running that evening in about an hour after he arrived. Jeff has always been prompt, courteous and does an excellent job in finding and taking care of problems. With the respect to my issue that was taken care of, I was a little discouraged at the communication from the ACE office. It took me several times and reaching out on my part, not theirs, to get the ball rolling so that I could get a technician out to my home. I shouldn't of had to do that. Hence my grade for responsiveness. Need to get back with customers and keep them more informed a little better. Overall my experience still has been good with ACE and I do recommend their services.

We previously had another company out to look at the furnace of our newly purchased home after it began shutting itself off while in use. The first company claimed to have cleaned it, but apparently not as thoroughly as Ace! The technician was polite and explained the service he was going to provide. He was happy to answer any of my questions along the way and was courteous and helpful when detailing the three different furnace service contracts his company had for customers. Based on the prompt service, courteous technicians, and great job, we will be contacting them to set up a yearly HVAC contract.

Excellent, I've used other fireplace people off of Angie's List, but these were the first ones who not only made themselves very easily available to my schedule (not "we'll put you on the 2 month waiting list" kind of thing that everyone else told me), but they also were able to tell me something about our troublesome gas fireplace that none of our other previous providers had ever told us. Net result is I now understand why it's troublesome. That was helpful.

Ace HVAC in Fairfax is the most trustworthy company I've ever dealt with. Their technician, Bobby, has been servicing my HVAC for years and is the best. On the last visit, he initially thought the expensive defrost circuit board needed replaced but discovered a lose wire that caused the resistance heat to activate. He is always extremely thorough. They replaced my gas furnace in January 2015. Again, a perfect installation. I never call any other company or even ask the cost of an installation or repair because I trust them so much.

The ACE technicians arrived on time. They took precautions to keep the carpet clean when going in and out of the house. They were responsive to my request to position the lines that ran to the house in order to minimize any potential for accidental damage. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time (less than one day). The new drain line from the AC Coil was routed in a much neater fashion that the previous drain line. My wife and I are very pleased with the performance of the new AC Unit. Our townhouse is staying much more comfortable even when setting the temperature to a higher setting than we use to use for cooling the house. I believe that the new unit does a better job at removing unwanted humidity. The outdoor unit is noticeably quieter that our previous unit. All in all, I am very pleased with the Lennox Elite AC and the installation job that was done by ACE, and would recommend them for AC Installation work. When compared to a bid that I received from another quality installer for price, I believe that they were competitive which was part of my reason for selecting them in the first place.

installed and cleaned appropriately after the job. the system is working great. their response time was great considering that it was the traditional first hot week of the season when everyone discovers problems. it did take two weeks to get the new system installed but i stress that this is the busiest time of the year for them and they were extremely responsive in working with us. also they submitted the manufacturer rebate paperwork for us, one less thing to worry about at our end (this was really appreciated since unbeknownst to them we were dealing with a family member's death so had many other things on our plate).

Service tech was late by 45 min... Had to call Ace to get status of arrival. (Traffic is terrible around here, but a call on status would have been appreciated.) Technician Identified himself, performed service professionally, showed me the pressure reading for the low coolant, tested system and closed cover. Provided bill and CC receipt. All in all, satisfied w/ service, Angie's list coupon for basic service call was well worth the price.

Professional and friendly service offered. The person did some tests on the unit and explained why they are needed and what they indicate. We were also informed about the unit's details and maintenance/unit replacement steps to be done.

We scheduled the furnace and a/c tune-up and cleaning big deal they had on Angie's List for a new home we just bought. The technician showed up early on in the five hour time window, received a 30 minute call ahead. He took about 45 minutes to check/clean/tune-up the furnace and a/c. The technician was very niceand answered any questions we had about the system and even troubleshooted our thermostat that I originally thought was broken. I'll definitely use this company again.

Service call went smoothly as expected.

The tech arrived on time and set to work immediately. He realized almost immediately that the control board part we ordered was not needed because after drying out it appeared to still work. He replaced a gasket to repair the leak and got the heat turned back on. He was careful to check for any air bubbles in our radiators and tested that heat was flowing to all parts of the house, as there are three different zones. We have used Ace in the past and been very happy with their work. This is just one more example of the professionalism we've seen.

I had 3 visits from this company, during the course of service. I also had a second company come out during this time. On the first, originally scheduled visit, the tech started the inspection by identifying the obvious of how old my unit was and that he was afraid to touch it. He then continued to inspect the unit, and was very focused on trying to find cracks in the heat exchanger. He did not have any cleaning materials with him at the time, just his inspection equipment. He did find something he wasn't sure if it was a crack or not, and suggested I get the whole unit replaced. He told me he was going to have to shut off the gas because it wasn't safe. I have a home warranty company. I was just paying to get my unit cleaned. So, I had to call the warranty company in the case i was going to get it replaced. The tech that was there heard this and said he would do me a favor and have a second tech come out for a second opinion on the crack before having to shut the gas off. he also had a combustion meter on him to measure CO output, and I asked him to do a quick check for CO at the vents and around the unit itself. Everything measured close to zero, which is expected for clean combustion. He then stuck it in the outflue and saw it was also zero there, and he said his meter might be broken or needing recalibration. Later that night, i got a second tech out who told me that everything was fine, and that a cracked heat exchanger is not a reason to change out a furnace in of itself. I had gone out and gotten 3 CO detectors before he showed up, as well as a combined CO/ combustible gas detector, and installed them for safety reasons. none of them were registering anything unsafe. The tech that came out adivsed i look at the internet to educate myself on cracked heat exchangers, which I did. He pointed out that the air pressure inside the handler would not allow CO into my air system except in severe cases, and where the combustion in the burner was so dirty that it was creating CO. (Clean combustion does not produce CO, only CO2, H2O and heat - that i remembered from chemistry classes ). In any case, the tech that came earlier was supposed to clean it, but had not yet, in case i had to replace the unit anyway. I didn't want to waste the time with that if it was getting replaced, and they would have used the value of my cleaning purchase toward a new unit. So far, not horrible, but i was starting to feel like I was getting scammed by their coupon. Monday, another person came out, and it turned out that he had not brought anything to inspect or clean.... he was a salesperson there to sell me a new unit. I was angry, but kept my calm and emailed the company through angie's list and requested that they send a new tech to clean the unit. The next day, the original tech, as well as a more senior tech came out to do the job. The more senior person was definitely much more professional in some aspects (aside from the fact he didn't put shoe covers on like the other guy, and tracked mud into the house). After the senior tech inspected, he didn't see any reason to replace the unit immediately. He recognized the fact that they were there to clean it. They got to work, and closed the unit up pretty quickly. I was dubious, so i asked about the coils and blower being cleaned and he said that wasn't part of the service. I showed him the coupon and what it covered, and he agreed to clean the blower, but pointed out that the coils would require a lot more time than they had, and that it is also not part of the furnace, and he pointed out that the coupon said furnace _OR_ AC. That was the first time i noticed the OR. Anyway, they did go back in and properly clean the blower, but i still have a dirty coil. In the end, i may just wind up replacing that.
