Ace is a family owned and operated company serving the Northern Virginia area since 1980. We provide services for all of your residential heating and cooling needs. ACE services all brands of equipment and installs furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, humidifiers, UV lights and air cleaners. ACE provides yearly service agreements for homeowners interested in maintaining their HVAC equipment, as well as providing within 24 hour priority service to service agreement holders and warranty customers. Description of Work: They came and assessed issues regarding heating capacity in the upstairs section of the house. They also did an overall heating assessment, including equipment inspection, humidifier inspection, filter replacements, and other items as part of a bi-annual HVAC inspection package. Services went very well, tech was able to diagnose our upstairs heating issues, resolve them, and was very thorough in the inspection. Tech was early to the appointment, and explained everything very clearly as to how to better manage heating throughout our home.

Description of Work: They replaced my Air conditioner/ heater/plus thermostat. They were prompt (actually early :), efficient, polite, trustworthy, knowledgable, and competent. System keeps me toasty warm and as cool as I want. It can also tell me when it has a problem. What else can I say....no it doesn't scratch my back. :)

Description of Work: My air conditioning system failed, The technician came out and found that it was overheated so he pulled power and let it cool. The suspicion was that my system needed to be replaced. The tech came back the next morning as first call to continue to diagnose my system. When power was reapplied the system just hummed. When the tech isolated the fan motor the compressor started right up. He replaced the fan and the system is up and running. My bill was much less than an entire new system.

Description of Work: The company is great. This was just the incorrect purchase for the service I required. They have a correct coupon that I would like to purchase for the service. HVAC services depend heavily on a diagnostic review, and after speaking with them on the phone - they informed me correctly of the right service. I purchase a lot of stuff through Angie's List and don't expect to be leaving anytime soon, hopefully a refund request is not a big deal. I use Angie's List for every contractor I have used for the last years.
