Levanair Heating & Air Conditioning

I've used Levanair on multiple occasions and they are the best HVAC company I've ever come across. They are professional, courteous, reliable, and a great value for the cost! I'd highly recommend Levanair to everyone - they are great!

I wasn't too pleased with them, I just bought the service and I thought that when I signed up for it he was suppose to check everything out and he just do one particular thing he did go out and check my air condition outside he just wanted to do that one thing and that was it and he wanted to sell me something else, I really was not pleased with the service so.

I was not really happy with the guy. He did not show up the first day. He came the second day and he was late. He was in and out in ten minutes. It was not what I thought it was going to be. The way it sounded like it was going to be not just a checkup, but they were actually going to do something. There was not tune-up. He said that they looked it over and they recommended things, but there was nothing like a furnace cleaning.

Our home has two independent HVAC units. 6 years ago, the older of the units failed and we hired Jorge at Levanair to replace it based upon a friends referral. Levanair had the best price and Jorge really knew heating and cooling systems. He was far better than your average technician and we've been very happy with that system, so when the second HVAC system failed, we had him come again. We also had a competitor come out to give us a proposal just to make sure we were still getting a good value. Turns out the Levanair price was over $1,000 less for essentially the same system, although it included a repeat customer discount. The crew arrived on time, and performed the work quietly and professionally. Got everything in and out of the attic ceiling access hole in our master closet without issue. The old unit (installed by someone else) was a rusted heap, but there wasn't any mess anywhere in the house when the work was done. They also corrected some ductwork problems in the attic while they were there. It took just over a day to remove and replace everything, and the effect was immediate. The old system never worked as well as the one they installed. It's quieter, it heats and cools better, and is more responsive. It's a 15 SEER, 2.5 ton unit and I'm hopeful it'll will be more efficient than the old unit, but I need to gather data. Bottom line: Rare combination of best price, top quality, and professional installation. I recommend this business to anyone.

I was not happy with them. They just kept finding this and that. He told me that the humidifier has been disconnected but I knew another company had been there so it was not disconnected. I was not pleased. They were trying to get more money out of me. This was wrong and that was wrong. He kept saying if you do it now I will go down on price, like another $25 off. I may be a woman but I am not dumb. The price for the check was very reasonable which is why I did it. I did not appreciate the constant pressuring and then I am not sure he even did what he was suppose to. Especially when he said the humidifier was disconnected. To get an A he could have stopped pressuring me. I also know that the humidifier was connected but I ended up paying him $20 to connect it. It started higher though, first $70, then $50 and then $30. I finally paid $20 because I thought if he disconnected I didn't know where to find it or how to get it back. I know for a fact the other company did not disconnect it because some idiot put it in the back of the furnace and the guy that came out could not fit back there. I personally squeezed my body back there with the light while he gave me instructions to put a new filter in so I know it was hooked up. So I thought he must have unhooked it and then I felt stuck. I will never use him again. I am convinced he unhooked it but I have no way of knowing what he did. I am sure he is being told by his company to push these things and he did and just kept on pushing. He was professional other then that. He was right on time.

The technician came to install it, and it didn't work or fit with my HVAC system and my utility closet. It would have needed an upgrade of up to $800 piece of equipment and redoing the entire set up on my house, so we had to do a refund on that one. They could give more information that it doesn't work for all phones, and more prompt scheduling because of the 30 day rule. By the time they came out, it created a bit of an issue to cancel because it was already so far down the road. It was a tough thing.

We purchased one from Angie's list, but provider asked to install bigger unit as house area is big. Usual sales speech to get us into bigger humidifier.

Pros: Job done well in timely manner I like the display for the humidifier Cons: I didn't expect the high additional charge for removing the old humidifier.

I purchased a whole house humidifier install special from Levanair and when their technician arrived for the work he explained the difference between the bypass humidifier included in the special and the available upgrade model that had its own power, fan and humidistat that worked independently of the furnace. When I expressed interest in having the upgrade humidifier installed, Maximiliano, the technician, realized the unit would not fit in the limited space he had to work with. While he simply could have said it was not possible and installed the bypass unit, Maximiliano instead suggested a possible alternative humidifier that worked in the same manner as the upgraded unit yet had a smaller profile that could fit in the small amount of space in the furnace room. After calling his company to receive approval to install the unit, and negotiating a mutually agreed upon price, Maximiliano retrieved the alternative humidifier from their nearby warehouse, returned to our house and proceeded to install the unit along with an additional power outlet for it plus cleanup from the install in a very timely manner. In doing so, he allowed our family to stay on track for a birthday outing for our daughter that evening plus we are now enjoying the benefits of the new humidifier. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the professional workmanship and customer service by Maximiliano and would certainly recommend Levanair and use them again.

I purchased a deal for a whole house humidifier. After purchase it was determined we needed a larger unit than the deal I purchased so I was told there would be an additional charge. I agreed to the amount quoted. When the installer came he said it would be more of an up charge than I was quoted. After looking back through the deals from this company I found one for the size humidifier my home required at a lower price than I paid. While installation went well, the different price quotes were unprofessional. I would not purchase a deal from this company in the future.

Overall service was fine. Felt some pressure to "upgrade" from humidifier advertised -- but on the other hand, we did agree with the upgrade proposal. Just as importantly, we did note an immediate improvement in the dryness in our home once the humidifier was installed. They also did a good job of explaining how to use the humidifier, proper settings, etc,

Very pleased. The old humidfier was installed in a position that was hard to reach and too small for the one. Since the work was above and beyond the deal the quoted me a reasonable price to remove the old humidifier, seal the ductwork, and install the new one in a more accessible location. The technician was very good in explaining what needed to be done, very careful in his work and cleaned up completely after the job. It was a good experience and I would recommend them and consider them for future work.

Outstanding job with servicing our HVAC unit. Technician did a thorough inspection of an already "dying" unit fan and did what he could to prolong the life of the unit. Also installed some additional parts to bring the unit up to code as it was first installed many years ago. Unit ended up failing a few weeks later and the owner spent an hour with me over the phone talking through how to manually jump start fan so that the unit would work until his crew could come back out to replace the fan. My family and I really appreciated the time that he was willing to take to help us at no additional cost and outside of normal business hours especially with the below freezing temperatures. The owner then personally came to our house along with his technician to inspect the installation work for the new fan. I will be a repeat customer and have and will continue to recommend to family and friends.

Maximilian Martinez was excellent! His introduction was clear with the presentation of a business card. Booties worn when entering the house with a clear understand of the work to be done.

Bought the big deal for a whole house humidifier but the technician determined the unit can not fit in the utility room. The purchase was refunded.

Initial work did not go very well but company owner was very responsive and conducted a very good follow up appointment and performed very good work.

Job went well. Completed on time and had great suggestions for follow-on work.

It went okay, they just do a lot of up selling. It was just kind of annoying. I went away actually paying $500 over. It just keeps going and you feel like you're trapped and then they also wanted to sell us a UV thing that kills mold and bacteria in our heating unit. That was going to be another $500. He left it out while he was up in the attic and I Googled it and I could buy it for $120 so that was kind of disappointing. I'd already spent all this money on all this stuff. They said that a couple of parts needed to be replaced because it was not running efficiently. They said they would give us the Angie's List discount since they were already here and working on it. At first we were like, yeah, go ahead and do it and then it just kept adding more and more. It just got to a point that when they pulled out the UV thing both my husband and I were like, I think we're done. We don't know how to install it but the fact is, I don't see it costing $400 to install something and that's retail price so if I could buy it for $120 and they are going to charge $500 you know they are making a huge markup on that and that just left a bitter taste in my mouth. We have a humidifier and he's like, well, that's going to be another $25 to check that. All he did was open the thing up and look at it. He didn't do anything else but that so why are you charging $25 just to look in it. My husband and I were kind of shocked by that but we had already said go ahead and do it. That's when we were like, okay, we're done. We were looking for a company to use on a continual basis and thought this would be a good way to test the waters to see who's out there but I don't think we'll be calling them again.

I was happy with the whole experience. While it ended up costing a lot more than I originally paid for the offer, it was for valid reason. I was unaware of the fact that my furnace was a high efficiency one. The provider provided detailed reasons for why it had to be that way and presented me reasonable options. The work was professional and effective.

The scoring should distinguish between the F grade scheduling and communication from an anonymous responder and Jorge Levano, and the A grade service from technician Maximiliano Martinez. I purchased the deal and asked, "Please advise on availability between Tue 22 and Fri 25 Sep 2015 after 10:00 EDT". The next day an anonymous responder sent a two hundred and thirty-seven word message, unilaterally scheduling the service on a day of their choice with a four hour window and giving a load of terms and conditions which did not fully correspond to those in the purchased deal (and half of which were irrelevant). The next day I responded, "I asked you to advise on availability, not unilaterally schedule an appointment.". There was no response from Levanair. Later that day, technician Maximiliano Martinez arrived unannounced and performed the "Tune Up". He was very thorough, professional and friendly. He showed me various parts and advised on their condition, answering all my questions. He advised on options but did not attempt any kind undesirable sales pitch. Later that day Jorge Levano responded, "Sorry if appointment was schedule unilaterally, it was not our intention because we do not have any telephone number to reach you, and your message was only to contact you from a date and hour, we was thinking that this email could be enough, again so sorry if we took you for surprise, we apologize.", no part of which makes any sense.

Max was very courteous and professional and did a great job installing the humidifier. He showed me how it works and how to maintain it. There was an issue with the installation which he returned later that day and took care of. I only gave him a "B" for punctuality because he was supposed to come in the afternoon, but came in the morning instead. We managed, however and I plan to hire this provider again in the spring for my A/C tune-up.

The technician was very professional and was able to find a couple components that needed to be replaced. The additional charge for these components was fair.
