Description of Work: I selected the company and then I emailed them as required and selected a date and times. The company emailed back and said they were not available and to select another date and time. I did. However, I never heard from them again so a few days later I went back on Angie's list found another company and this company called me right back in the morning and came out the same day.

Description of Work: After bought deal, and the SP got out to the house, they said that the size humidifier wouldn't do anything for the home and quoted 1800. Want refund.

Description of Work: Check furnace,etc. It has been a while since the work was done so do not really remember the date it was performed. I am checking the confirm box, but the date of service is incorrect. I am very happy with the work performed.

Description of Work: The technician who did this work was very competent and professional and I was very satisfied with his work. I am somewhat confused about the need for some of the extra work and why this hadn't been considered by the previous service provider, SSI. I had a problem with SSI, detailed in a previous submission to Angie's List, so I decided to try another company for preventive maintenance. Curing the current work on the AC unit, the technician removed the cover over the cooling coils to inspect them. He said that they were dirty and recommended cleaning at a cost of $160.00. To the best of my recollection, the SSI technician never removed this cover to inspect these coils. During the current inspection of the outside unit of the AC, the technician recommended a charge of gas at a cost of $120. I noted a recent Angie's list Big Dead of $59 for an AC tune up that also included a charging of gas.

Description of Work: Jorge came to house for initial estimate and was very helpful in explaining the differences between different AC models, brands and what was recommended for our home. He also very flexible with our schedule, had great follow up before, during and after our installation. Installation went great as well, friendly and informative. Overall great experience and service, we are very happy.

Description of Work: Jorge installed a humidifer on our furnace. He arrived on time and performed the services requested. The system we had installed is probably too small for our house be he did offer to install the bigger unit, but it was several hundred dollars more and we were right on the cusp between the two sizes. It brings up the humidity, but not to the best level of comfort. In retrospect, we should have opted for the larger unit. |After 3 weeks, the unit began to leak. We suspected it was due to the filter being dirty. They are supposed to last 3 months, but ours was ready to be changed in 3 weeks. We contact Jorge and he came out to inspect the unit. His assessment was the same as ours. The filter was dirty and this was causing water to build up and leak. He replaced the filter, for a fee, and also advised us he had never seen one get so dirty so quickly. Long story short, we have med-hard water and the mineralization is destroying the filters. This lead to our needing to also drain our hot water heater and we were amazed at the amount of build-up we drained. |Overall we were pleased with the service that Jorge provided. It wasn't his fault our water is hard. Unfortunately due to the leaking we will likely not be able to use the humidifier unless we decide to invest in a water softener or spend $12-15 every two weeks to replace the filter.

Description of Work: The $49 Angie's List offer was for a checkup on my AC system. The system in my condo is very dated. I was given quotes for everything from an entirely new AC unit ($9,500) to replacement of some things (approx $496)' which I opted for. In between those quotes, attempts were made to sell me on other services, telling me prices were going to be increasing in a few days so I should lock prices in. I felt pressured.

Description of Work: We were very pleased with the Humidification system, the installation, and the company. However, it cost us twice as much as it was advertised for on Angies List. We read the ad on the computer, and it said it was for our size house, so we thought it would be a good deal. When the Tech came out, he told us it was for a smaller house, or condo even though the square footage of the house listed was the size of our house. We thought the ad was very misleading. He said he would install the one we ordered, but it was not for our size house and we could be unhappy with it. We were pleased that he explained that to us, although that was not what the ad indicated. We think the ad should have contained more info explaining that you may require a bigger unit. However, we are very pleased with the new one, and they did a great job. We just had not expected to pay the higher price. I guess it taught us a lesson to ask more questions up front.
