Prior to 4/6/13: First call reached a recorded message instructing that if I wanted to deal immediately with the business, call another number to reach the "shop." Second call same afternoon contacted Austin. He was nice enough on the phone. Told him I needed my mower to have a Spring servicing. As I am a petite senior and loading/unloading mower from my small SUV would be difficult, I asked about "pick up." Even though he lives in my very small town, there would be a charge for that. "Hmmm . . . how much?" He'd have to call me back that night. Never heard from him. Today is 4/15/13

Super folks.... This company has more flexible hours by being open Saturday afternoons. I went to their shop, and asked for help with my leaf blower. They helped me with a very short fix in getting my repair started and then offered some additional advice on maintaining the equipment. No charge. Super helpful and super friendly. I will go back for any future repairs and services.

I had an older, but hardy lawnmower I bought from a previous owner in late 2011 that had not been used much. It had some starting issues. I brought it to Burke's for a tune up, etc. They got it up and running and I had no problems with it for the rest of the year (about 2-3 months). I ran the gas dry and stored it as per their advice and put it up for the winter. This spring I was having issues with it again. I called telling them the lawnmower I spent considerable money tuning up has only ran for 3 months and I think they need to relook their work. They were a bit reticent, and they probably didnt have to, but they gave it a second tune up and offered me a bargain price. I took it and the mower has been working fine all summer. The owner is very personable and willing to explain common problems like ethanol fuel and maintenance issues. He's also a VET and we need to support veteran owned small businesses!!

Made the mistake of installing a cheap Home Depot replacement head on my weed-eater which turned out to be impossible for me to remove. Took it over to Burke's and they removed it with no fuss and no expensive bill. It took a fast couple of days and DONE! The owner and staff were polite and courteous. They explained concisely what had to be done and were quite pleasant to work with. Overall a great experience.

Second time I have used them.First they fixed a blower for me and had me come back to adjust once I had finished the gas in the tank and change the gas/oil mixture.Second for my lawnmower which quit working. Both times they did the job in 3-4 days and were very pleasant. Price is reasonable and they always tell you ahead how much it will be, and both times came in a few dollars under the estimate

Service was great however it took nearlly a month before I got my lawnmower returned after routine sharpening and maintenance. They did provide a "loaner" after I harrassed them.

Really nice, helpful fellow came to the house. Not only fixed the problem, but told me exactly what to do so it wouldn't happen again. I was very pleased with the firm and with this person.

Everything was excellent. I had a few questions, and I called them; they called me immediately. They are very responsive, and responsible.

Drop off took only a few minutes to discuss the work to be done. Prices were discussed and they also followed up with a phone call after they analyzed the problems. Work was done on time as promised and I found them to very friendly, professional, and helpful.

I was very pleased with the process, other than some minor confusion, about them missing my phone message, approving the work. When I called to followup, they were apologetic, began the work immediately and still got the mower back when promised. I love that they will actually sharpen the blade rather than replace it as Sears used to do, which I thought was unnecessarily wasteful.

Dropped off the mower on 24 March, got an estimate of repair on 25 March, received notice that mower was ready to pick up on 29 March, picked up on 30 March, work done was described.
