My husband and I started the bamboo job ourselves, and I can honestly say- it's a hard job! The guys came in and got it done in three days! It would have taken us 3 years! They are hardworking, honest, and just great guys. I didn't really have a vision for my kitchen, I just told Tom that I needed the cabinets anchored down and the fridge encased so it would be safe for my 10 month old. He fixed everything right up in a day!

Tom and his crew constructed a 14 by 16, second-story deck with stairs for me last summer. Tom and his crew were courteous and professional. The deck is very nice and well constructed. I was happy with the process and the final product.

Tom was very professional and also very friendly. He came by and gave me a quote and we scheduled the work to be done the next week. Tom was very professional and worked quickly to complete the work. They finished up in two days and put the room back together. They cleaned everything up very nicely which with drywall repairs is hard to do. He went the extra mile to make sure I was happy and I really appreciated it. He and his crew couldn't have been nicer, even to my dogs. I would definitely hire Tom again.

All work was done with skill and professionalism. The storm door was ordered and painted by Tom before he arrived to installed. He went the extra mile to make sure I was pleased with the final results. All work was done with an eye to detail. Would definitely hire again.

Tom at Top Quality Home Improvement converted a large storage room into a great woodworking shop. He installed lighting and many new electrical outlets. The T-111 wood wall siding installation and trim work were great. He had creative suggestions for the ceiling that turned out great. I would absolutely use Tom again.

House I bought had an enclosed sun room added on a deck including wood burning stove with stone base. Noticed some support issues caused by weight of stove and stone. Called TOP Quality Home Improvement LLC to take a look and give estimate. They evaluated the problem quickly and provided a complete solution. The work was performed timely and with quality workmanship at a reasonable price. I will hire them again for future projects.

When I received the home inspection report from the inspector, I insisted on using TOP Quality Home Improvements for all the repairs. I know and trust Tom Pollard to get the job done right, on time and at a fair price. You really cannot go wrong with this company. My only regret is that I have moved 150 miles away and I cannot call on him for things on my new house!

Tom and his crew of men did a great job with all that needed doing at the house. Multiple doors didn't close correctly and the men did a beautiful job of trimming the doors so you could never tell they'd been worked on. A wobbly banister was properly repaired (not just shimmed), and rotten wooden banisters and pickets for the outside porch steps rail were replaced with new ones artfully cut by hand to look similar to the old ones. I don't remember their names, but two of Tom's men were not just handymen, they were carpentry craftsman. One guy also went above and beyond the call of duty, pointing out to me a section of the back yard that I had not noticed was missing part of the split-rail fence. After fixing the fence I had originally requested, he took rails I had laying around and crafted a nice-looking fence section that filled in the gap beautifully. Tom and his crew will care for your house as if it were their own. You will be in good hands.

Mr Pollard was responsive and always quick to get back to us. He gave us a fair price, scheduled the work promptly, and completed it just as promised. He took great care with the work, and we are very happy with the results.

Mr. Pollard painted our bathroom, installed our lighting, sink, and toilet. He remudded our dry and painted the bathroom. He even came on the 4th of July (in the morning) to finish the job. He was also very reasonable compared to other handymen i the local area.

Mr. Pollard was prompt, courteous, skilfull, and professional. He showed up on the appointed date and time, did quality work, completed the job within the specified time frame, and departed without a trace after cleaning up. I highly recommend him.

We had our Charlottesville home out for many years. Tom was our go-to guy. He is responsive, and incredibly talented. We were told we needed several big ticket repairs and when Tom took a look, he was able to do a beautiful job while saving us quite a bit of money. This is your old-fashioned jack of all trades. The guy knows his stuff, is completely trustworthy and we have come to rely on him. We have since sold our home and have passed Tom's name on to the new owners. If there were more professionals like Tom around, I think we would all be in better shape.

Tom is the person to call if you want to get the job done right the first time. He was easy to communicate with, punctual and professional. He did a great job, was fast and left my house spotless. I originally call him to repair drywall seams but then in addition had him replace rotten wood on a barn and do some plumbing work. All the projects were completed fast and professionally. I would highly recommend Tom and his helper Anthony for any variety of jobs.

Tom was very responsive and professional. He came out quickly to review the work and provided an estimate. The work was completed in a satisfactory fashion in the time period I wanted. Tom communicated well throughout the process, the work area was left tidy, and the work was done within the time estimated.

This review will tell you the type of person Tom is. We recently purchased a home that needed a large number of updates. From reading the reviews, Tom was THE guy for the job. We appreciated that he educated us throughout the process and really had a passion for the work he does. Once complete, the work was top-notch. Couldn't have been happier with the results. Fast forward to the first night in the house... we came back to the house after visiting friends/running errands only to find a substantial amount of water leaking from the 2nd floor laundry room. What seemed like a scene from a movie was happening! After all of the work was complete, a mistake occurred where the washer did not have its drain plug connected after we had Tom install new flooring in the laundry room. It was 9:30pm on Saturday night, and I gave Tom a call to explain what had just transpired. Tom and his assistant took ownership of what happened, drove an hour to the house and helped with the water damage until close to 2am. Tom told us repeatedly that he would make things right and he did. Tom spent the next couple weeks coming by the house, re-positioning fans, doing drywall repair, painting, and much more to make sure things were truly "made right". He even reimbursed us for some of the minor expenses we had in the aftermath of the water damage. Obviously the situation was unfortunate, mistakes do sometimes happen, but we are very thankful that Tom DID stand by his work and did not abandon us after the situation occurred.

It could not have gone better and there is really no other way to describe it. :) The work occurred while my family went out of state for Christmas for two weeks. I barely knew Tom Pollard but he was (and is) so genuine of a person that I had no problem giving him a key to my house so that the work could be done without my family (I have a 3 and 5 year old) getting in the way. I pulled Tom's information off of Angie's List (already top rated) and all he wants is an excellent review and he did whatever it took to make us happy... and he did! Hopefully that does not sound bad, he did want to make us happy but when you are running a business off of good reviews and referrals, businesses like TOP Quality Home Repairs will flourish! Tom did all the research and ordering of parts (except for the bathroom floor, commode, and vanity - personal preference type thing) and put me completely at ease saying that if it turns out that he could not do something that he said he could do... he would hire somebody that could out of his own pocket! Tom, of course, was able to do everything he said. :) You will not go wrong hiring TOP Quality Home Repairs.

Everything went well. Tom is busy because does all the work by himself, unless it is a big job and then he uses a helper. He came to quote the job personally and treated me fairly and with respect, even though it was a small job. He performed the work as promised and charged me fairly.

Tom was very professional and takes great pride in the quality of his work. He completed the job on schedule and on quality. Tom replaced flooring on my mother's condo with hardwood floors, repaired flooring in one of the bathrooms, and helped complete misc items that were left as part of the kitchen remodel. He clearly takes pride in the quality of his work and has results to show for. The work was of great craftsmanship and we are very happy with the quality. As many have commented he is not the least expensive, but the assurance that the work will be done to our expectation, quality, and schedule was more important.

Thomas was great. He did good quality work and I absolutely use him again.

Most excellent. Because our wall color was off-white you can barely see the repairs. Tom cleaned after his work.

Tom was very professional and courteous. He does great work but we especially appreciated his desire to make sure we were happy with his work as well. He is very reasonable when giving his opinion on the problem (we had another opinion as well) and realizes that not everyone can afford thousands of dollars of repairs all at once. His explanations were very thorough and made sense to me. We will definitely hire him again when we need something done. I have already recommended him to several friends.

Thomas did a great job on the work itself. My only concern is that he didn't protect the floor around the door he replaced leaving a white run dirty.

Would like to have tied down the timing a little more specifically, but the job was finished when he promised it would be finished. Tom is extremely personable, entirely professional, open and honest about what he thinks he can do and what are not his strengths, and produced exactly what we wanted with outstanding quality.

Tom did a great job and charged a fair price. We will use him agian.
