Roman’s his two assistants did a wonderful job replacing our old patio door, his assistants were very knowledgeable and professional Tom is very conscientious about details they were very neat and clean about there task.

Great. Tom was easy to work with, prompt and professional. He provided suggestions that improved the final product but understood where I wanted to cut corners to save money. The final product is exactly what I hoped it would be. I will definitely be using Top Quality Home Improvements again!

Our sunroom is made up almost entirely of sliding glass doors. Our existing Pella doors had rotted at the bottom. The place I ordered the new Andersen doors (Better Living) recommended Mr Pollard as an installer. He looked at the job, gave me an estimate for the labor and told me the rest of his charge would be based on the cost of the materials. He told me in order to do the job correctly, the exterior siding would have to be removed. He was true to his word on all counts. He and his assistant, Anthony were always on time; he always explained what he was doing, he asked what I wanted if there was a choice of how something could be done. He and his assistant were extremely professional; they always cleaned up after themselves....but the most important thing is that he performed QUALITY work. He did a first class job. First class.

Tom and his coworker (whose name I forget unfortunately) were very professional and did quality work in the time frame promised. Would definitely recommend having either a big project or several small ones in one trip to make it worth the trip. Would use him again!

Quality of the work was excellent, however he left 4 different times during the job for various reasons. I can understand leaving to unload construction debri from his truck however I don’t know if I was paying his hourly fee while he was gone or not and not all times was he leaving to unload debri. His invoice did not break down how many hours were worked, charge for debri disposal and I had to ask for copies of receipts for weather strip purchase. I also had an Angie’s list coupon for 10% off (told Mr Powell I had this the day he can and looked at the job) however , I have no idea if I received since the invoice did not reflect these things.

Went extremely well, at the right price.

We used Tom and his team to help lay the foundation to our 16 x 20 deck (posts, beams, joists). Tom did an absolutely excellent job building our deck. He was very flexible, accommodating my specific requests time after time, and was very reasonable and patient. His pricing was very acceptable. He clearly knows what he is doing and is very insistent on doing the job right - his integrity in insisting on doing a good job was repeatedly encouraging. I am no contractor, but from what I can perceive the end product is excellent and we are very satisfied. I would highly recommend Tom Pollard and Top Quality Home Improvements for any general home construction/repair/improvement needs.

We had crown molding installed in two rooms. The molding was in 2 pieces, with a 3” space between. Tom responded quickly to my call, came out within several days and brought molding to choose from. His calendar opened up and he was able to do the job earlier. He arrived on time with two helpers. They did all the initial painting and cutting outside; after installation they caulked and did final painting. They vacuumed the floor and repositioned all furniture. It looks beautiful! I must add that his assistants were extremely considerate and conscientious.

Top Quality responded quickly to my phone call and was able to come a few days later. They did a very good job with the small tasks I needed done. The size of the job didn't deter them (with a minimum of two hours work). I would hire them again for handyman jobs around my home.

We needed a new deck built for our house. Tom gave us a fair estimate and did a great job building the deck. We particularly like the way that Tom framed the deck because it gives the deck a nice finished look. We also informed Tom that a hot tub would be delivered so there would need to be extra support. Tom knew exactly what he needed to do and explained exactly where he would provide the additional support for the hot tub and why.

I travelled 6 hrs round trip to meet with Tom. He was delayed almost 2 hrs to our meeting, but did call to let me know he was running late. We had a good meeting, and I could tell he knew what he was doing. He told me call him in a week if I didn't hear back. I gave him 2 weeks because I know he's busy, then texted him, which was probably a mistake since he'd said call—it could have been a landline. I did end up calling though—twice—and also messaged him via Angie's List, but never heard back. He at least should have let me know if he couldn't do the work or didn't want the job, neither of which seemed the case when we met. Now I am really in a jam because I held off the other person I'd gotten a bid from so that I could compare the two bids. Since I've waited a month for Mr Pollard I have missed my chance with the second handyman. Renters are moving in August 1. Not sure who I can get now. I've no doubt he does good work based on the reviews and my brief meeting, but I am really disappointed and surprised to hear NOTHING back. I had to check yes or no for "would you rehire again" and put yes, but would add the caveat: only if you can afford a long wait and have a back up plan in case he disappears. Can't attest to his work because I didn't get a chance to find out.

Once the date for the work was set, contractor showed up exactly on time and did everything they were supposed to do in the time that they said they would. Contractor called the owner to ask a few questions, which I appreciated. Work was performed well and they did a little extra - trimming the door so that it would close after the new floor was put in. All in all a great experience. We appreciated the attention to detail.

Tom is great - we hired him to fix wood flooring that a previous contractor had seriously screwed up and left unfinished. Floors now look great! We also had him move kitchen cabinetry up in order to accommodate a slightly too tall new fridge (oops). Cabinets look like they've always been where they are now and tie seamlessly into the cabinets on both sides. Not only does he do great work, Tom is personable, reliable, and delivers high quality work. Already in talks with him to knock a few more items off our to-do list!

He is very fair, reasonable and does an excellent job. I will definitely recommend him and absolutely use him, again.

He does phenomenal work. We were so impressed. We have hired him many times. The outcome is always wonderful so we have used him about 5 times and we have only lived in this house for two years.

Fantastic. He got the windows installed in two days at my three story house. He cleaned up after himself and he was lowest bid of all the estimates I received. I can't say enough about him; give him 200% percent.

All repairs/replacements were completed quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I feel that the price was fair. The crew members were all were respectful and pleasant at all times. They cleaned up thoroughly at the completion of the job. I will definitely be calling upon this provider again when the need arises.
