After the work I checked the work, it was great. He was on time and he finished promptly. The quality of the work was better than I thought.

After a storm tore off a half dozen shingles that another contractor had replaced a year before, I called Tom. He showed up within hours of my calling to take a look at the job site & find out about what I needed. We agreed on a date/time for the shingles to be replaced, and that's exactly when I saw him again. When he finished, he told me why the original repair had failed and what he did to ensure it wouldn't fail again (and despite some rather strong storms since, the repair is holding strong!). Next was repainting/repair of exterior wood trim. After some discussion of options, we agreed to case the exterior wood in aluminum sheet, rather than to repaint. The work took several days to complete, and he kept me informed of his progress each day. He made sure to clean up his work area at the end of each day, and he made sure to let me know when he would be arriving next. He was always quite punctual, and was certain to call if he needed to change the plans. Overall, I was VERY pleased with the work he performed. He's very knowledgable about his craft, and did quality work. He showed up when he said he was going to, called when that needed to change. He worked diligently and efficiently, and cleaned up after himself every day. His estimates (based on hourly labor rates) were close enough to the actual as to not make a difference. His rates were very low, and based on his customer service skills alone would be a bargain at twice the price!

Tom promptly gave a good estimate of the work to be performed. My neighbor and I both had Tom doing drywall jobs at roughly the same time. Tom made all the arrangements for the drywall to be delivered and then did the work himself with one helper. He was always courteous and cleaned up the work area very well. He was done when he said he would be and the work was excellent. There was nothing about the process that was anything other than pleasant. I have asked Tom to fit me in to his schedule for some additional work this fall.
