Environmental Pest Control came out to deal with stink bugs & carpenter ants. The technician was on time, very personable & professional. They performed a whole house outside treatment, foundation, foggers in the attic, and set ant bait in the grass for $225 (was $250, we used the coupon). As of today we haven't seen any carpenter ants in the house and only a couple of stink bugs (as opposed to the MANY we were seeing daily). We will definitely use their services again.

We are very happy with them. They are a small company and so they are very personal. I always have the same technician come out. He is great! He is very professional and easy going.

Very professional. Gave quote, which was very reasonable, and performed initial application on outside of home within 40 minutes of arrival. Gave summary of service which included removing two wasp nests and spraying another which he could not reach. Advised that there had been alot of spiders along the bottom of siding in back of house. Advised what to expect from the initial spraying. Quote was $150 for initial service and $75 dollars for quarterly service. We are signing up for the service.

We liked their courteous and timely service so much we signed up for the quarterly visits. They are always right on time (or call), they get the job done and they often go above and beyond the call of duty. They will even send the same technician out if you ask, which we like. Highly recommend them.

They use the same chemicals as everyone else and price was comparable. However, service man was sent out first time in a huge pouring rain storm which would mean that the chemicals would be washed away (and into local streams and waterways.) I was surprised that they would send out a person in the driving rain to apply this chemical, and refused treatment that day. Not very environmental. I rebooked for another day and the treatment was as expected.

Professional knowledgable and did not try to jerk me around. Asked good questions took time to hear what I wanted and to inspect the area home and property. Talked through variety of products services timelines and costs. Representative was Made reasonable recommendations and was courteous. Only drawback was that he asked several times what I was looking for (price?? or quality??) and knocked some big name companies (warranted or not I do not know) so I felt he was pushing a bit for the sale. All that said, we simply decided not to contract with anyone at this time. We would consider them in the future.

I'm not sure where to begin with this company. I chose them because they were highly rated on Angies list and I was confident I was getting the best. What I actually got, didn't even come close. I initally called on Saturday, Feb. 4th to set up an appointment for someone to come out after we were hearing sounds coming from our attic. On Monday, Feb. 6th, EPC came out. We had an inspection of our attic and outside to see if there were any obvious holes or entry points. Nothing was found at that time. The guy who came was unprepared and brought no traps with him. He said he'd be back in two days with traps. I DID NOT want to wait two more days, I was already desperate from hearing chewing, scratching, digging, and running around right over our heads in our bedroom for the previous two days and I wanted this thing GONE! The guy left. I called back that same afternoon and requested that someone come out with some traps that day. The owner, John came right out (which I really appreciated). However, after he got to my house, he seemed annoyed and frustrated as he told me he had 30 minutes to be in D.C. and then asked me if I had a ladder. I said I didn't, and he went outside and said "well I'm not sure how I'm supposed to put this in your attic without a ladder". I mean, seriously? The first guy shows up without a trap, and the owner shows up without a ladder. I should have asked him to leave my property immediately and call someone else, but I didn't. My mistake. FInally, he gets it up there, throws a Payday candy bar in the thing and says that I should have something caught by the morning. The only thing I caught was some of my attic insulation and not much else. Stupidly, after this, I agreed to pay EPC $300 for whole house rodent proofing to see if the entry points could be located. John said that the price would be $300 for the rodent proofing and $150 for the trapping and removal of the squirrel. I agreed, he took my email address and promised he'd send me an agreement, of which I never received! The "wildlife guy" came out the next day to do the inspection and patchwork. Honestly, this guy, Rick Nischan, is the best thing this company has going for it. He was extremely responsive, nice to work with and didn't make any promises he couldn't keep. He listened to my concerns and didn't make me feel bad for feeling frustrated. I wish he had been the one I had dealt with from the beginning. I would have rather been told that the "wildlife guy" wouldn't be able to come until Tuesday, than to have two unprepared people come on Monday. On day 10, Rick was finally able to locate a defect in an attic screen that was allowing our little squatter to come and go and he secured it with hardware cloth. He put the traps in the paths where the squirrel was coming and going and the next morning Mr. Squirrel was caught! After 13 days and multiple visits, our stressful, 6:30am wake up calls were over. At this point I couldn't be happier about that. But the customer service from this company leaves something to be desired. By the end, I felt like they were referring to me as "that crazy lady in Herndon who called again". I did not feel very confident in their ability to help me until the very end, and at that point my frustration reached it's height and my opinions about them already formed. Basically, it was to late...caught squirrel or not. To top it all off, I had to pay an additional $50 for the removal. I was told by John that the total cost would be $450 including removal, but since I never saw the agreement until after the squirrel was already trapped and on its way out, I felt like I had to pay the $50, even though that was not what I agreed to. Just the icing on the cake. I can't speak about their pest control services, but what I would say is that if you have animals in your attic and you're not dealing with Rick, RUN....AS FAST AS YOU CAN!--and save yourself an additional headache.

Actually, I found out about Environmental Termite & Pest Control Services on Angie's List. They have been coming the last couple months to fumigate my house. They have anticipated my needs and exceeded my expectations.

They are very professional and patient. They good about billing as well.

He got rid of the bird and patched up the hole in the attic. He did a good job. He was very professional, punctual, and sent me a copy of the invoice via email. He sent me an estimate for another job via as well.

I tried multiple times to submit a service request through their website. After filling out the form multiple times and using two different types of browsers, their site wouldn't accept the request. You click the "submit" button and nothing happnes. Then I called their 866 number multiple times over a two day period. The company uses an answering service and doesn't actually answer calls. After dialing the number, you get a recording, then a transfer to an operator. The operater starts the greeting "Thank you for calling Environmental..." and then there's an additional ringing noise, another transfer and the call is disconnected. Even if you get to talk to the operator, all they can do is take a message. This company needs to fix the problems with its communications technology.

They come to our house for quarterly services. They spray in and outside of the house. We have been using them for over a year and we are very pleased with their services. They are very professional and friendly.

I have pets, so I wanted something that was environmental friendly. They were very thorough and very good at explaining the use of their sprays. They wore protective clothing just because of the intensity of spraying so much every day. They offered money-back guarantee too. Everything was fine. The price for the one-time general pest service for exterior spraying for all types of ants and plant insects was $225 with the use of the Angie’s List discount; I could renew it on the quarter if I wanted more service. I was hoping the price was a little bit lesser, but they were willing to at least honor the Angie’s List discount. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great job. They came back and did a repeat treatment and did not charge me. They are very knowledgeable, professional and qualified.

We called Environmental and their price was highly competitive and the service was outstanding. They always promptly answered or returned phone calls, the technician always arrived on time and was always prepared, friendly and professional. The technicians are knowledgable and tailor treatments to your specific situation.

I called and spoke to the company and requested someone come out immediately. The service provider came out on time that day and was very thorough and professional. He inspected the kitchen and found where the ants were coming in from and then explained all our options. We ended up hiring him to put a powder into the area and then do the outer perimeter. I expressed concerns as we have two dogs and he answered all our questions to make sure the dogs were safe. That was over 2 weeks ago and I haven't seen even one ant since. We did buy the contract for a quarterly inspection but he didn't push it and we didn't feel a lot of pressure to purchase additional services.

These little bugs were gone only for sometime after he treated them. They were back again. They come only during the spring season of the year. He did a beautiful job getting rid of the ants in the kitchen which was the main reason I called them. They were very nice on the phone and were very understanding. They were very helpful. I was able to get a quick appointment which I needed. The guy was here the first thing the next morning. He did a great job and he was very nice. He was very helpful and he figured out how they were getting in. He put the stuff at those points so that they can be destroyed along with their nest. He was right and they were all completely gone. The guy who came out was wonderful. The only thing I got annoyed with the company was with their 60-days guarantee. So we can call if we had any issue within that period. The ants never came back, but the little bugs came back again. I called them about two days away from when the guarantee period expired. The guy said that they can’t help because it was past the time and that it would cost me another $200 for them to come out. The guy on the phone was not that helpful the second time.

Very simple. Initial call answered right away and we had something scheduled within a day pr two. We could have easily scheduled something right there on the phone, but I used that first call to gather lots of information regarding price and services and then compare it to other providers. Called them back and got something on the books. They showed up exactly on time and took care of everything quickly and without my involvement. They even took care to go in a specific order through the house so I could move my dogs from floor to floor to keep them out of the way. They put me onto a maintenance schedule and then called when I was due for my next appointment. Again, the second visit was prompt, simple and complete. I have not had any issues with pests while using this service. The only bummer was that on the second visit they did not have the ladder and materials required to go up into the attic for treatment. But overall, that's pretty minor because it is not like that has resulted in me having any issues. And, if I had called with a problem, I expect that would have shown up quickly to complete that portion of the visit.
