Founded in 1969 by Dick & Nancy Krider, Howell’s Heating & Air's mission has always been simple– hire good people and perform good work and the business will come. Over 40 years and a generation later, Howell’s remains true to this original philosophy and attributes its success and reputation to their great owners, for their hard work every single day. Howell’s requires all technicians to be NATE-certified. In order to become certified, technicians must pass a nationally recognized test to demonstrate their knowledge of today’s increasingly sophisticated heating and cooling systems. This certification benefits local homeowners by giving them an independent standard by which to select a knowledgeable technician to work on their home comfort system. Technicians who are NATE-certified know that NATE stands for excellence and quality service. Besides being highly qualified experts, our technicians will treat your home like it's their own. Floors and other surfaces will be protected and left clean and free of debris after the work is complete. Description of Work: Replaced the furnace/ac system in place (20 years old) with a new HVAC system (Carrier Heat Pump). Everyone was very nice and the installation was very professional. I asked a lot of questions and all of them were answered completely. I felt comfortable with things going in. I wanted a solid installation more than anything and I felt like I got it.

Description of Work: We arrived at our home to 47 degrees and the heat pump would not work, even the emergency heat. I called one company on Angie's List, but they were too far to come for emergency service. I then did a search for companies closer to my residence and found Howell's. The service tech called me back promptly and said he would be here in 15 minutes and he was. The unit was repaired and he made some suggestions for new thermostat that would allow us to monitor the system when we were not home. I am calling them on Monday for a service agreement and a new thermostat, I don't want to come home to a freezing house again or pay for emergency visits! Thank you Jason for a job well done, you were very professional and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: It was very easy to set up the appointment. Adam arrived on time, and he took some to ask questions about the issues that we had with the ac unit, then spent about 10 minutes to run some tests. Adam appears to be very professional, and explains well the problem and his approaches. I am very satisfied with the service. The price is very fair. I would recommend Howell's service without hesitation.

I was very grateful that Howell's Heating & Air Conditioning warned us of repairs that were going to be needed on my air conditioning unit. They are also very consistent. They did an excellent job of keeping me informed of what they were doing and what they found.
Description of Work: Howell's Heating & Air Conditioning did the yearly check up on my air conditioner as well as recharging the Freon in the unit.

We had to have our heat pump replaced back in September when it started getting cooler. I do not know what we had paid. I just know we had used the company for maintenance before. They provide great service every time.
