OMG TILE AND GROUT RESTORATIONS LLC

A single crack had developed running through three 1x1 foot ceramic tiles (2 1/2 tiles, really) in our basement bathroom. After ordering and receiving the replacement tiles I needed, I put OMG Tile under contract, as OMG Tile was quick to respond and a very competitively priced bidder. Fredi Aviles, the owner, proved very knowledgeable, and impressed me as he supervised a less skilled worker. The result was an excellent replacement job in a short timeframe.

We were very happy. The team rearranged their schedule (got up early) to fit us in before their first morning appointment. They made a point of getting our work done when we wanted without inconveniencing the next family on their schedule. Impressive! The work was done beautifully. Mr.Aviles and his team are skilled, reliable, friendly, and most professional. We won't hesitate to call them again and recommend them to our friends.

This was a big deal. They did a really nice job, but they did do something that kind of annoyed me. I asked them to come and I just wanted to use the Angie's List time and money as opposed to an adding anything to it. I made that clear to them and they did a beautiful job on what they did, but they did not do the grout around the toilets in any of the bathrooms. They ran out of time. I felt like this was probably the first thing they should have done, but I don't know. I needed all the grout in all my bathrooms replaced. The main reason I had them come was that I had a new shower door installed and I wanted them to get the grout in the shower perfect.So they started with that but then as they progressed they did everything in the bathrooms except the toilets and I would have thought that would have been the first place they started. I don't know if the toilets even needed it, but I would have liked for it to be done. What they did was gorgeous and I have no complaints about the work they did. My only complaint is that instead of going to the second bathroom and leaving the toilet undone in the first one, they should have done the toilet in the first one and then gone to the second bathroom. Does that make sense? They did not give me an option where I could say I wanted them to do the toilet and skip something else in the other bathroom. He told me he had not done it and when I said something to him as he was leaving he told me I could always use Angie's List again. I don't know, I just found it irritating that they were not going to do the toilets. They finished everything except the toilets. They got a lot done. I am not complaining about the work they did. I would have preferred that they not do something else instead of leaving the toilets undone. It has bothered me ever since they did it. I have to say the work is absolutely excellent, it is beautiful and looks like brand new. I felt like the way they did it was sneaky and left it open for them to have to come back. I could have spent more than the big deal price, but, to their credit, they did not ask me. Everything was made very clear about what was going to get done while they were there.

Great! The work supports the company's name as my wife and I both exclaimed "Oh my grout" when it was completed. Fredi and his crew were all professional, proficient, and very careful working within our home. We've definitely added them to our contact list for future jobs.

OMG was very expert, diagnosing the source pf the problems and fixing it by working with and re-grouting individual loose tiles, rather than performing major surgery. They worked diligently, and now both bathrooms look great again. I will have them back for preventive maintenance.

Freddie arrived on time. He went to work on the shower and immediately found water damage behind the tiles (which we suspected was there). He explained what the repairs would entail and the estimated cost of repair. He tore out the tile, careful not to damage them, so they could be re-installed, and removed the water-damaged wall-board behind it. He was careful to explain everything to me and show me what he was doing as he went, which I appreciated. He finished caulking the parts he could and left about 45 min into the 1 hr special I purchased. He did return 5 days later on a holiday with another employee to make the repairs. All the work looked great, but he ended up charging me $100 more than the estimate 5 days earlier. Seemed like a large difference to me at the time. Although I really liked Freddi and he clearly knew what he was doing, he never followed-up with an estimate for redoing the tile in the entire bathroom or the backsplash in the kitchen which he measured for before he left. He may be too busy, but follow-up would have been better. Overall, he is a competent tiler who knows what he is doing.

Work was excellent. I purchased the Angie's List deal, had the appointment scheduled and the work completed within 2 weeks. Workers were very polite and hard-working. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. In fact, I was so pleased, that I contacted the provider again to request additional services as soon as they could be scheduled. This is where things went a little south, because I never heard back from the provider. I was given a business card after the initial visit with an email and phone number. Over the period of a month, I sent 3-4 emails and left multiple voice messages. After several weeks, I finally got an email back saying they would like to call to discuss scheduling the work ... only I never received a follow-up call. Having liked the work done initially, I would love to use this provider again... but having been made to work so hard to scheduled a follow-up appointment, I've decided to take my business elsewhere.

I reached on Angie's List to get an estimate 2.5 weeks ago. After playing phone tag for a couple of weeks, I got an over the phone estimate a few days ago. Freddy said he'd have someone call from his office to schedule an appointment. Almost a week later I still haven't heard from anyone, despite a reminder email I left on Angie's List. I really wanted to use their services based on the good reviews but I suppose I'll look elsewhere. I only have a phone number for what I think is Freddy's cell phone, which usually would just go to voice mail when I'd call back during our phone tag phase. So I doubt it's help to call his own phone again to schedule.

The guys were very professional, showed up right on time, and the work looked great when they were done. It did end up costing a bit more than I expected, but they were clear up front (before they started work) on how much it was going to be.

We initially bought the caulk/grout renewal package for 3 hours, but while doing this Fredi found a lot of mold in the wall behind the shower. We're lucky he noticed?the mold and rot would spread and create a much more expensive future repair. He and his team came back the next possible day and rebuilt the wall, reusing the tiles. Excellent work! No more mold! And a beautiful tub and shower.

I had bought their $125 Angie's List coupon for 3 hours of work, which saves $15 over their regular price of $140 for 3 hours of work. When they came out, they told me 3 hours would not be enough time, and that it would take 12 hours. We scheduled a 6-hour appointment for Fredi (the owner) and one other person to do the work. They did a fine job, though I had to point out one thing they missed, which they promptly took care of. They arrived on time and completed the work in about 11.5 man-hours. They charged me $695 ($570 in addition to the $125 coupon) for 12 hours. At $140 for three additional sets of 3 hours, the total charge should have been $420 plus the $125 coupon I had already paid for, which is a total of $545. So, I feel that they overcharged me by $150 ($695 - $545). Fredi explained his reasoning for the higher charge, which I found unconvincing, but I paid him what he asked rather than argue with him.

It went okay. The job was not finished because our shower was too wet to caulk the floor. The company left caulk for us to finish the job ourselves.

In both cases Fredi and his helper were very courteous, professional and neat. I would not hesitate hiring this company again.

The workers showed up on time, very professional and did an excellent job removing the old grout and placing new grout in the kid's bathroom.

After reviewing the work I needed done, I was provided an estimate and recommendations. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. The base of the shower required additional cleaning and work, so I paid an additional $50 for that. The two gentlemen doing the work were polite and professional. Would definitely call again.

OMG Grout lives up to its name and expectations. My kitchen grout was nearly 20 years old. They expertly removed it and replaced it with new grout. My kitchen looks brand new as a result. They showed up on time and got right to work. I happily recommend them for any grout repair you may need.

Business owner carefully explains, in detail, what needs to be done and how they're doing it. He offered advice on other things that need to be done, such as replacing the entire tiled floor because the guy who installed it 10 years ago did not remove the sub-flooring and caused the tile to crack and the grout to pop out.

They showed up on time, and immediately started working. I have a lot of tile in my bathroom so they were not able to get all the work done in the 3 hour commitment (2 guys working for 1.5 hours). However, I will have them out again after I finish installing a new bathroom floor because their work looks so professional. A 60-year old bathroom got a much needed face lift.

Nothing to tell, really, they came when they said they would, set right into work, removed the old grout, cleaned it up and commenced to replace it. They gave me some ball park quotes for other work I want done, and accomplished what they were paid for. Very decent guys. I am planning to call them for other work.
