Mike?s experience and local knowledge proved to be invaluable to us when we were purchasing our first home. He was easy to work with and available whenever we needed him. Mike even accompanied us while we were on our initial ?walkthrough,? and pointed out a couple things that we had overlooked. (One of which could have been a pretty major safety hazard). We normally do not take the time to write reviews online but we were so impressed with Mike Rosen that we felt the need to share our experience. Mike both sold our house and helped us by a new one in 2014. From the selling side, he was able to get us top dollar for our house and we sold in no time at all! When we began our search to buy our new house, Mike was so knowledgeable about the housing industry in both Fairfax and Loudoun (the two counties in which we were looking at) that it made the process of narrowing our search so easy and accessible. Once we found our dream house, Mike was able to negotiate the offer down for an incredible deal. The contacts that he has in the industry proved to be invaluable and the processes of both buying and selling were made as seamless as possible because of Mike and his team. My wife and I hired Mike after interviewing three agents. We interviewed him just because he sold a similar house to ours in the neighborhood, but the way he explained himself and reading the market situation with analysis on our old house was clearly above other interviewees. We made an easy decision to go with him. In a nutshell, his communication skill and dealing with other agents in negotiations were always above our expectations. We knew that we are picky customers with cost efficiency in mind. Sale and buying process can be extremely stressful, but he made both process very successful for us in a short period of time. We sold and bought houses within 3 months! He guided staging process and scheduling part of the house sale so well and we got multiple offers more than our estimation. He guided us kindly, friendly and patiently each step. Also, he came back with sucessful outcome in our bidding process for purchase and kept us from overspending. Mike may not be a discount agent some would look for. But he made his best effort to keep his service in check with our agreement and kept it fair as well. The sale of my house was like a combination of Murphy's law and a rollercoaster with all the accompanying emotions. Mike NEVER gave up, wore many hats, and assumed many roles to ensure and achieve the goal of selling the house. He was in constant communication with the buyers, banks, and lenders to keep them apprised. He also gave me frequent updates so I knew how the process was moving forward. We did not make the decision to sell our house until late summer, which was late in the season. Mike Rosen was instrumental in identifying upgrades and repairs yielding high returns, staging our house so it showed at its best, and moving it to market in record time. He marketed our house on the most popular and relevant websites and was active in guiding a steady stream of prospective buyers through the property. As a result of Mike's efforts, our house sold swiftly. Mike was equally active in helping us find our new house. He programmed computerized property searches customized to our specific desires and set up automatic emails that alerted us as soon as likely properties came on the market. He showed us multiple houses, including one on which we made an offer. Mike was a canny negotiator, helping us to sell our house for an excellent price and buy our new home well below the asking price. Mike was very professional but also very easy to talk to and never made us feel pressured. We were moving from out-of-state so he always tried his best to fit us into his schedule when our schedule allowed us to come to Virginia. He knows the market well, he doesn't overprice his listings, and he is willing to negotiate with the other realtors. A true testament to the type of person that Mike is was when we ultimately decided to put an offer in on a home where he was the listing agent. Being an agent on both ends of a deal is never easy, but Mike made sure that the deal was fair for both the seller and the buyer. Mike helped us through the entire process and made the transition to a new state so much easier. He had our best interest at heart and if we ever decide to move again there is no doubt that we would once again work with Mike Rosen.

After all of the upgrades... the condo took a little longer than a month to sell, but we were patient and understanding since it was in the middle of winter during the holidays. Mike was suggesting to sell the place for a little lower after a month, but we had a great location with a pool view on the top floor, and also after going through comps with him, we agreed that the selling price we asked for was a fair value after considering the improvements were made. Mike even helped us negotiate a rent-back period to offer us time to research for our new home, in addition to helping us negotiate the condo at a selling price everyone was happy with. He really listens to his customers well and will do what he can to offer expert guidance and support. Thanks Mike!

Mr. Rosen was truly an exceptional agent that was invaluable in assisting us in selling our home. His recommendations and advice were consistently excellent. Early in the process I did my own validating of some recommendations and estimates provided by Mr. Rosen and his team and in every case I found the information he provided to be spot on and an excellent value. His contractor recommendations to fix up the place were reasonably priced and delivered quality results. His team of decorators did an extraordinary job in choosing paint colors, fixtures, and carpeting to help the home show well. While there were a few recommendations for things that should be worked, Mr. Rosen and his team were very focused on limiting the amount of improvement work to be done to those items that would really help the house stand out and sell well. We received an offer we were excited about in a surprisingly short amount of time and closed in less than a month. The only hiccup came during closing when Mr. Rosen discovered that he wouldn't be available for the scheduled closing. He notified us in advance of the conflict and offered to work with the buyer to reschedule the closing. Ultimately we elected to maintain the closing date and Mr. Rosen arranged for a stand-in that ensured the closing came off without a hitch. I would certainly recommend Mr. Rosen to anyone looking to sell their home with the minimum amount of time and fuss.

Mike is a consummate professional. He is very knowledgeable of the market in terms of pricing and value. He was able to perfectly price our home for the market, realize what prospective buyers are looking for and market the home accordingly. The response and amount of interest was amazing. When it came time to review offers, Mike told us what to look for and advised us on how to proceed and negotiate. Once we had a contract in place, Mike was instrumental in working with the appraiser, home inspector, bank, lenders, etc. to make sure the closing went smoothly. I will continue to work with Mike on all my real estate transactions.

What Mike knows best is the area he is working in and how to sell that area to his clients. When we started, we had a budget and a specific idea of what we wanted. Mike showed us many homes, none that we liked. Mike then suggested a new search area and to move from single family homes to townhomes. This just showed us how in touch with the market Mike is, and how he is able to work with his clients to meet their needs while showing he is the expert. Soon after, we found a perfect townhome. Mike helped us make an offer, negotiate a contract, and helped us throughout the rest of the closing process. Mike was always very responsive when we had questions and thoroughly knowledgeable about his trade.

If it wasn't for Mike, we would have settled for much less (and paid much more) than we wanted. We used Mike this summer to sell our condo. He was great in providing comps and setting a good price point. He also recommended staging which was worth every penny. Our condo sold in 3 days for the price we wanted it to sell. Mike handled the counter offer very well and guided us through the closing process with no issues on our side - we barely had to lift a finger. We used Mike in the winter of 2010 to sell our townhome in Herndon, VA (20171) and purchase a single family home in Ashburn, VA (20148). Mike coordinated the staging and sale of our townhome in the fall. Our townhome was priced above the neighborhood average, and Mike's pricing advice was excellent. The home was very well represented online via photos and video, and the hard copy marketing material looked excellent. We received the offer that we wanted within days of listing, and this ended up being the contract that we took to closing. Mike then handled our single family purchase. He was very responsive to our requests to see homes available for show. When we found the home that we wanted, he was able to advise us on how best to negotiate a good discount off of the sellers' asking price, while protecting our other interests. Our entire home buying process went off seemlessly but for one issue. But, that issue was with the lender and Mike handled it very well and worked with us to resolve it. Mike has great knowledge of the real estate market in the area, has knowledge of good people to work with in terms of lenders, inspectors, etc. He workedlate at night to get documents out the door, met all deadlines, made sure we didnt miss any deadlines, and was accessable at all hours of the day via email and cell phone for questions. I would definitely work again with Mike if I buy or sell another home.

Simply Outstanding!!! Mike is the ultimate Real Estate professional. We used Mike to sell our home in Northern Virginia in late 2012. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service and results.
