Mike Rosen was our realtor representing us in the sale of our condo. We listed it in July and it was sold within a week for a fair price. Mike gave great advise regarding preparation for the sale and value of our home. He kept us informed every step of the way from listing to closing. His marketing is top notch! He uses professional photographers and designs a beautiful brochure highlighting the features of the home along with great internet exposure. Mike assisted us in the purchase over 5 years ago and now the sale of the condo as well as the purchase of two rental properties. We couldn't be more pleased with him!

Basically, Mike gets the job done. We tell him our needs and Mike translates that into real estate speak, and we get both sold and bought. His advice has been spot on helping us navigate now two buys and two sells. He was incredibly flexible as things were changing fast on both the selling and buying side, and representing our intentions very well.

We worked with agent Melissa Donnelly, employed by Mike Rosen. Melissa represented us in finding our retirement home. We live in another state so having her expertise of the area in Loudoun and other counties really assisted us to make a decision for the future. She provided us insights about the area so that we could make a good decision. She is very honest and clearly in the real estate business to help others make the best decision possible within a budget. She was always willing to take us out to different properties within our schedule. Our needs limited the type of properties we were interested in adding to the challenge. Since we were out of state, Mellissa visited houses and gave us a tour via facetime over her phone. The first house we put an offer on was a short sale in Purcellville. This required a lot of extra work on her part dealing with the bank that held the mortgage. After a very time consuming process we cancelled our offer due to the bank dealing in bad faith. After more visits, we made an offer on a house in Round Hill, but got out bid in this hot market. We finally found a house in Warrenton that met all our needs. The house had been updated, but the heat pump was 19 years old and there were no smoke detectors in the bedrooms...among other issues. Melissa was very helpful during negotiation to make sure the house was safe and all issues resolved. We were surprised on closing day to find that the washer and dryer had been removed from the house even though they were on the contract. Melissa helped resolve the issue and we got thru closing on time. I highly recommend her for her professional knowledge and integrity.

My girlfriend and I recently worked with Melissa Donnelly (work with Mike Rosen) to purchase our first home (a townhouse) in Fairfax, VA. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service and support we received (and this is coming from someone who doesn't give out 5 star reviews easily)! Despite a brutal Fairfax market, we were able to find a great townhouse in our area of choice for comfortably below our max budget. Melissa was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to offer advice and counsel throughout the process (on everything from the market conditions to mortgages and home repairs). She helped us navigate multiple offers (we were successful on the third try), some of which presented some interesting conditions from the seller side. She was extremely patient with us as we figured out what we wanted and in what area (i.e. we looked at quite a few homes). I ask a ton of questions and Melissa was ALWAYS able to provide an answer. I found myself quite stressed at times throughout the process (as I'm sure many first time home buyer do), but pretty much every time I called Melissa to talk through a question or a problem, I found myself feeling better when I hung up the phone than before I dialed it. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, I really felt like Melissa wanted to make sure that we ended up in the right home for us. I hope we don't find ourselves looking to move again anytime soon, but if/when we do, we will definitely call her to represent us!

We worked with Mike to purchase our new home and to sell our old one. On the purchase side, Mike took us around to various neighborhoods. He was great about showing us the wide variety of homes and neighborhoods that interested us. When we found the home that we wanted to purchase, he was very attentive during the home inspection and walked us through each of the steps involved in financing and closing. On the sell side, Mike did a great job of advertising our home. We had high quality pictures and brochures. He also arranged for us to have a stage consultant visit our home and give us suggestions for paint colors and furniture arrangement. We also had a high quality video featured in our Zillow listing along with beautiful pictures. Mike could get very busy and, therefore, difficult to reach at times. Nevertheless, when we did connect, he was always fully attentive and professional. Working with Mike was a pleasant experience.

We enjoyed working with Mike and his team. With his help, we were able to quickly prepare our home for sale. We received an contract within 3 days of our home becoming available on the market. We have sold two homes in the past and this was the best experience of them all.

Here’s my story: This past Spring found me frequently looking online for a different home to purchase, even before placing my townhouse on the market. Melissa noticed that this person (I, Myself) kept going back to view again a particular residence listed online by the Provident Team. What TIMING: just as I was about to phone the listing company to schedule a showing I received an e-mail from Melissa (buyer's agent), asking if I would like to see the property. YES!! We arranged a time to see it, and a few other residences I was mildly interested in. She used her knowledge of the market to help ME understand some things. Long story short I purchased the original residence that had initially caught my attention. Throughout the buying process, Melissa answered my many questions--sometimes more than once (I am NOT a frequent buyer/seller of properties), and guided me in the details. Melissa was--IS-- a good realtor, and while I don't plan any more moves any time soon, if and when I do, I would choose Melissa. Once I was ready to get my townhouse on the market, Mike, seller's agent, arranged a time with me to come see my townhouse for listing purposes. The process went very quickly; it seems that in no time at all, a photographer was scheduled and on-site, the marketing material was arranged, printed and distributed. My property listing was posted online, a sign was put in my yard, an open house was scheduled, and the first day officially on the market, I (Mike) had offers. Three offers were considered, we chose one, and today we closed on the sale of my townhouse. As with Melissa, the buyer's agent, Mike had to endure my questions, and explain so many things to me. But all with a smile, and he always seemed to be quite 'UN-rattled' by my naivety. Thank you!

We recently used Mike and his team to sell our TH and also simultaneously purchase a SFH in NoVA, and we would very highly and whole heartedly recommend the Provident Team if you are looking to buy/sell your home! Mike was very involved, thorough and hands-on throughout the process and handled every step very well, even when we hit the inevitable snags. When selling, he advised on the right updates to do, the contractors to use and did a thorough background research of our area and recommended the best price to list. We were under contract almost immediately, but after the buyer backed out in the last minute he kept us updated constantly and re-listed our home and got it under contract again soon and eventually we closed successfully. When buying, Mike realized that the property we wanted would sell immediately and worked with us on a weekend to write up a very competitive offer quickly and was in constant touch with the seller's agent to make our offer get accepted inspite of a multiple offer situation. In short, Mike is very knowledgeable, an excellent communicator and negotiator, and someone you should have on your side in every real estate transaction!

Mike was very knowledgeable and did a great job of navigating us through the whole process. He gave us excellent advice and alerted us on more than one occasion to construction/build issues and concerns with some of the houses that we looked at that saved us from some pretty significant downsides. During the negotiation for the house we eventually purchased, Mike was proactive, gave us great advice and did an excellent job with the negotiation. We recently sold our house in Ashburn VA. We interviewed a few other well reviewed agents. They were all good but we went with Mike as we felt we would be more comfortable working with him and we are very lucky we were not wrong. Mike was very knowledgeable about the area and is very resourceful in finding estimates and people to fix little things if and when needed. We agreed on what he suggested would be a good sale price as it was inline with what we were thinking. He explained a lot about the whole selling process and factors deciding the sale price. He communicated everything that was going on and suggested what to do when it was time to choose different options. He has very good negotiating skills and knows a lot about houses in general from his education background which helps a lot in my opinion. He worked with our busy schedule. As first time buyers, Mike did extraordinary work for us. He was very easy to reach and flexible. He answered numerous questions about the process and showed us multiple houses. His patience was impressive! During the entire time he did not push us to make a decision and he was very honest about every single deal. We made multiple offers on several different properties before finally settling. Finally, we found the right house and the closing process flowed very smoothly. He was on top of every single detail. I brought a townhouse on the market in June, got it sold in August, and purchased a new one in mid-September. Mike helped make all this happen. His recommendation for preparing, presenting, and ultimately selling my old home were spot-on. Fix-up costs were kept to essentials, although not cheap by any means. He arranged a 30 day rent-back to allow time to identify, buy and move to the new location. The latter wasn't too hard since we had agreed on the neighborhood beforehand. My old home was/is in a nice neighborhood and, through April this year, sales were brisk. Since early May, there's been exactly one sale. I give Mike a "shout-out" for making that happen. In an industry filled with mediocre agents due to the low bar to enter the field, Mike stands out head and shoulders above the competition. Mike follows what I think should be a common sense approach in the industry (yet few agents seem to do this) of helping you get your house in the best condition possible, setting an appropriate market price, and creating an exceptional online presence that will draw potential buyers to your home. In preparing to get our house ready for listing, we used 4 of Mike?s recommended contractors (Stager, Painter, Carpet, Glass Repair). His stager was phenomenal and was probably the most helpful in getting our house in tip top shape. If you are considering using Mike and are waffling about paying for the staging service, I have no doubt you will easily recoup the cost and then some with the value she will bring to your home. His painter and glass repair people were fair priced and easy to schedule. The only disappoint we had was the level of service we received with the flooring company for refinishing the landing of our entry way (hardwood), I would stay away from them for this service (they were ok for carpet). In terms of the online listing, Mike hired a great photographer to take photos of the house. Mike makes sure to use all 30 photos that MLS allows and may use even more on Zillow, Trulia, and realtor.com like he did for my listing. You?ll find many agents won?t max out the photos, not to mention there is huge difference between the quality of the professional photos Mike uses (great lighting, appropriate angles) compared to the average agent and their point and shoot cameras. His use of a multi-picture collage as your first photo in a listing really helps draw in potential buyers. After one week, my Zillow listing had been ?clicked? at a rate 47% higher than comparable listings (per Zillow). His video walk through is also an added feature that you won?t get with most agents. In terms of the listing, the other item that stood out was Mike?s For Sale sign which he custom makes for each listing. Instead of just being a big advertisement sign for himself, Mike includes pictures from the listing on the For Sale sign. I was surprised to see how many people slowed down/got out of their car to pull a flyer after seeing the sign. It?s one other feature that distinguishes himself from his competitors. Lastly, Mike was helpful in working through/negotiating our buyer?s home inspection addendum. Our buyer had a list of items that were atypical (improvements rather that repairs), which he helped us navigate through. The only negative thing I can write about's Mike service is that he is very busy given how successful he is in the field. If you are looking for an agent to call you back in 10-15 minutes after you call, he isn't the person for you. That isn't to say he doesn't give you his full attention when he does get back to you (he does), but he may not be as available to you as as the average agent who has fewer clients.
