Mike sold our home in 2 days! He was very knowledgeable about pricing our home and staging it. He recommended changes along with a professional stager that would appeal to potential buyers. He was always available to answer questions. He knew how to use the latest technology to market our home.

Mike acted as our Buyers Agent, and helped us successfully purchase a single family home in Greenbriar, in Fairfax County, VA at a price that we were very happy with. He has an outstanding knowledge of Northern Virginia, and really helped us narrow down the neighborhoods by helping us think about value, construction quality, commutes, schools, walkability, and many other aspects. He was great about guiding us, respectfully contributing good ideas that added to our appreciation of what we were looking at. This twice saved us from a house that was shiny but bad value, and another in a great neighborhood but a Money Pit. Mike's background in Civil Engineering is a unique bonus in evaluating lots, building quality, and maintenance risks. Once we had got to the offer stage, Mike was excellent in the preparation of comps (the price for comparable houses in the same neighborhood), which were massively helpful in making us a great negotiating team. The comps allowed us to truly understand what the market value of the house was - and what number we should target as the "right" amount to pay for the house. On responsiveness - I would sometimes worry Mike hadn't gotten my emails because he didn't respond right away. He is one of those folks who seems to prefer to get back to you with the full answer rather than a quick "I'm on it." Once I figured this out it stopped stressing me out. If I were shopping for another house I'd go straight back to him, and have recommended him to friends. He's utterly honest, completely reliable, super-fast in the paperwork in offer-making, and a great guide to many aspects of the Northern Virginia market.

I got to know Mike through an ad on Zillow. At the time, I was flirting with the idea of buying a new place, Mike took the time to get to know what I was looking for and was very thorough and detailed on his search. Once I saw the property that I was interested in, he made the arrangements to show the listing on the same day and within a month I moved in to my beautiful new home! Mike helped us to sell our Arlington condo in 2011. We were impressed with the quality of his recent condo listings in the Arlington area and noticed that they went under contract quickly. We had an initial consultation with Mike and were impressed with his knowledge of the Arlington market and condo sales specifically. He's friendly and outgoing but is also very technology savvy and data driven. He presented a very thorough analysis of the market conditions and his plan to market our condo unit. We were impressed with the photographs and the virtual floor plan he created and the positive feedback we received after showings. In the end our condo was on the market for the amount of time Mike predicted and sold in the range he predicted. We were pleased with the selling process and the closing went smoothly. We turned to Mike again in 2012 to purchase a single family home. Mike worked tirelessly showing us numerous homes in Arlington and Falls Church neighborhoods over several weeks that fit our list of requirements and offered knowledge and advice without pushing us to make a decision quickly. When we found the right home in Falls Church he quickly compiled an extensive list of comps and detailed data. The housing market in the Spring of 2012 really varied by area and even by neighborhood - some were buyer's markets and some were seller's markets. Mike really understood the area of the home we wanted and was able to negotiate a favorable offer that was quickly accepted. He participated in the home inspection and offered a lot of valuable advice. Mike is extremely responsive by phone, email and text. We always felt we had his full attention and never felt like we just were one client of many. A little over a year later we are still very pleased with our home and our experiences selling and buying with Mike. When it comes time to sell we'll be working with Mike again!

Over a period of about 6 months, Mike showed that he is the epitome of a "full service" agent who puts the goals of his clients above his own and works diligently to help his clients find their ideal home. Mike started the home search process by talking with my wife and myself about the type of home we were looking for and the desired location. He quickly created a list of properties for us to preview and showed us several properties. Each time, Mike helped us to hone in on the home features that were most important. After viewing numerous properties over several months, a home came up on the market on a Sunday morning. Based on our criteria, it looked great. We viewed the property that afternoon and made an offer that was accepted. We attribute the ability for us to make a quick and decisive decision to all of the prep work that Mike did. For our financing needs, Mike tapped into his network of "go-to" people and found us a company that worked with us to come up with a package that met our needs. In summary, Mike is a great real estate agent - easily one of the best that we've worked with. After doing a lot of research on real estate agents, we decided to work with Mike Rosen based on franklymls, the great reviews he received here on Angie's list and the great reviews he has on Zillow. We made a great choice in hiring Mike to sell our home. Mike really is as good as his reviews and we loved working with him. Mike embodies all the qualities that you'd want in an awesome real estate agent. Words that come to mind when I think of Mike are: character, detailed, diligent, great negotiator, hard worker, honest, kind, knowledgeable, motivated, professional, passionate, patient, personable, pleasant, responsive, really nice guy, reliable, strategic, talented, technology focused and thoughtful. Mike worked extremely hard for us. While we were working, Mike was at our house helping to get it ready to list. Mike has an awesome cache of professionals that we tapped, they came out and painted, carpeted, repaired, cleaned windows, staged and photographed our home. Mike went "above and beyond" with getting services for our home scheduled and did things like helping move around furniture and even paid money out of his own pocket to some of the carpet guys to have them help move furniture in preparation for the staging. Mike was always showing up at just the right time to make sure everything was going okay, so we didn't have to. I cannot say enough good things about that or how much that helped us out. Oh, and did I mention that Mike helped to make the magic on our home happen from start to finish in a little over a week? Pretty amazing, right? The professional pictures and brochures were great! Mike made sure all of the pictures used looked good, and he hand picked each one that was used on the internet marketing and in the house brochure. A lot of realtors will only do a few pictures and most don't include a floor plan layout, however Mike does!! Mike also did a through analysis of the market and priced the home perfectly. The house when under contract in two days at full list price, and we closed on the sale of our home yesterday. Mike has exceeded our expectations at every turn and did everything that he could to remove the stress and burden of selling our home. Anything that was in Mike's control he took care of, so we didn't have to. And we never asked him once to do these things, he just knew they needed to be done and did them for us. It hardly felt like we were selling our home. Talk about stress relief! Plus, Mike was always available via email, phone or text, and he was really considerate of our time. We only needed to meet up with Mike twice, once when we walked him through our home and again when we saw him at closing. Everything thing else was taken care of via phone, internet or docuSign. Home sales very rarely go perfectly and there is always something that comes up, needs to be repaired, rescheduled, or renegotiated and Mike handled all of these things for us with professionalism, grace and humor. And at closing Mike presented us with a really nice hand written thank you card. Having had some lack luster experiences with agents who didn't know the area or the buildings on Arlington, I chose Mike and he has worked with me for over two years to find me just about the place with a view and height I have been - till then - imagining. Working with Mike to sell our home, and to find a new home, was an excellent experience. He arranged for professional photography of our home, and professional staging. The marketing materials and presentation were therefore top notch. The "For Sale" sign in front of our house was also very progressive... it included photos of the interior of our home. A great touch for "driveby" traffic. Our house sold in 3 days (with offers received after 1 day), while another house on our street went on the market the same week and went unsold for over a month. One of the things I appreciated most about Mike is his willingness to really talk through negotiation strategies. This was very important to me. I wanted a realtor who would really help me think through every possible scenario while determining price/initial offers, counter-offers, etc. Mike listens to your own thoughts first, but is not afraid to tell you if he thinks you're being too aggressive or leaving money on the table. I probably kept Mike on the phone for 90 minutes while considering to make an offer on the house we eventually bought. He never showed any impatience, and seemed to enjoy thinking through things as much as I did. This made me feel confident in the offers we made, and I never felt rushed. 11 on a scale of 10. I would use Mike again, and again.
