Installed gutter guards over existing gutters on very high gutters to prevent leafs/debris from clogging the gutters. These are locations that where I could not safely reach the gutters. They voluntarily, at no cost, did a second gutter, leading to a total length that was a bit greater than what I purchased. I was very surprised and pleased that MasterGuard felt it was important to do this to protect this section of the roof as well.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It worked out very well. Their work was done very well. It appears to be working but I didn't get up on the roof to check it. We played some phone tag.

Tom and his son came to my home to provide me an estimate on gutter guards. I had consulted with several other companies and their quoted price seemed right. They were nice and seemed easy to work with. I let them know that I was unsure of the age and condition of my existing gutters and they assured me that they would be fine and would tune them up, cleaned, tightened, etc at the time of installation. A date was scheduled for the guards to be installed. Tom emailed me that day to let me know that my existing gutters were no good and would need to be replaced - at their cost so as not to appear to be a 'bait and switch'. I thought that was fair. Had they inspected my gutters when providing me an estimate, I would have been happy to pay for the gutters myself. A new date was set for the install. It was pouring rain that morning, so I emailed to inquire about the status of the install - I have a dog and didn't want her cooped up all day if the work wasn't going to be done and I didn't have to keep the back gate open. Tom emailed me that they got a late start and they he would give me a heads up when the team was heading my way. I received no notification from him. The workers arrived and worked quickly. One of them took pictures from the roof to show me the final product. It looked good, they gathered their stuff, and left. I headed to the back yard to close/lock the gate only to find half a dozen gutter nails (about 6-8 inches long) strewn in the yard, another half a dozen metal casings (for the nails?), a sheet of what looks to be metal fascia or siding about 3 feet long, and an extremely sharp twisted piece of metal about 1.5-2 feet long. Clearly no one had bothered to even look in the yard to clean up afterwards. I have pictures of the debris I collected that afternoon. Tom called me a week after the service was performed to see how I liked my new gutters. At that time I told him about the debris that was left behind. He offered to have someone come and clean up.... While I suppose that is a nice gesture, it was a little too late to prevent any potential injuries from the metal scrap left in my yard. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again nor would I recommend them to others.

Tom came to the house to inspect the gutters and provide a quote. He paid attention to the details and pointed out places he could help improve the house's appearance with respect to the gutters. His quote turned out to be less expensive than his main competitor; which helped make my decision easier. Tom had to reschedule the installation date once. The second appointment was within days of the original and went off smoothly. His team cleaned the gutters, made some small adjustments to down spouts, and installed the Gutter Guards. When Tom's team finished they cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was professional. Couldn't ask for a smoother installation. The gutters look great. The days before Thanksgiving there was a strong rainstorm that gave me the chance to look at the gutters in action. So far (which is only a few weeks), the gutters are not clogged with leaves. The rain didn't run off the roof but fell into the gutters as designed. So far so good. :)

The initial appt was to meet with Mr. Kahn to go over what I wanted and what he offered. He and his son were extremely pleasant and each had a wonder sense of humor. He came up with a plan, which I could not afford, and then came up with a plan which would fix the immediate problems and put the additional work (gutter guards) on hold for another time. They set up an installation appt and took a down pymt. The crew showed up on the 20th as scheduled. Both young men were pleasant, very courteous and very professional. They informed me every step of the way and could probably have gotten done sooner if I hadn't kept going outside to check on the progress and ask questions. I needed to have diverters placed around the 2nd story chimney and the one young man very graciously took pictures with his cell phone and emailed them to me at my request. After the work was complete they came to get me and walk me around the house discussing each side and what had been done. When I mentioned that the drain was too high and I was concerned one of my grandchildren might run into it and cut her leg, they stopped to lower it even though they were done and packed to leave. The next day I was outside and noticed they hadn't just cleaned up thier mess, they had taken a leaf blower and removed all of the leaves around my house, not just the ones that had fallen out of the old gutters. I would recommend Mr. Kahn and his crew to anyone needing gutter repair/replacement. They were all very knowledgeable, very professional and at the same time they felt like family (the ones you like) or good neighbors.

I wish working with all contractors went this smoothly! Tom came out to measure and give recommendations. He explained the pros and cons of various gutter guards--and it all jibed with the research I had done on-line (which had lead me to the MasterShield gutter guards). Though it is a busy season for them, they got us on their schedule within two weeks. The crew came out to install yesterday--and the only way you can tell they were here is by the new gutter guards they installed (they look great!), the cleaned-up roof, and the leaves they kindly blew into a nice pile for me. The installers were very courteous and thorough. There are several large trees behind our home, so our roof was littered with branches and leaves. Aside from installing the guards and tightening up the gutters overall, they cleaned off the roof debris and un-clogged a couple of gutters for me. I had used one company in the past who did not do this. Though those workers were courteous and professional, they had told me they were not allowed to do any work that was not implicitly stated in the contract. So they left me with a clogged gutter for weeks until I could get them out again to do the work. I only quibble with the price--I realize MasterShield guards are simply more expensive than other systems, but because of the height of our roof and the number of trees on our lot, we really needed a system with no maintenance. My wallet is hurting, though! We'll see how the gutter guards perform--however, I feel confident that I can call on Tom's company if I need anything!

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out fine. I could only meet them on a certain day, and so they came out fairly quickly. I paid more than the big deal amount. They are experienced, professional and easy to work with them. They had knowledge of the product.

Installed gutter shields on rear of house, on two levels. Installation was top-notch. Owners were knowledgable, informative, responsive and punctual. Installer did excellent job on installation, arriving on time, completing project on time and leaving premises in excellent shape. We were very pleased with result.

The job was harder (and therefore longer) than expected but the crew was very professional and really only seemed to worry about getting it done right the first time, not getting home sooner; and isn't that what every consumer wants? Good crew, very polite and courteous,and hard working.

The technicians who came to the house were friendly and very honest with me. They told me that they weren't able to install their product on my house, because my roof wasn't compatible. While looking at my roof and talking with me, the technician leaned on the rain spout and noticed it was clogged. Even though he wasn't paid to do so, he unclogged the pipe for me, saying he couldn't leave knowing it was so clogged. What a nice guy! The manager called me back later that day and told me that they would need to refund my purchase through Angie's List. They didn't charge me for the clog in the rain spout either.

They told me the gutters did not need to be repitched or secured with hangers. And we can acknowledge one area was not sealed on the gutter. I had the guy run water down two areas in my gutters to make sure they weren't clogged or leaking. He had validated before last week that they were clear and unclogged. When he put a hose down the two areas, debris did come out. I asked him to do the other gutters, and he questioned me telling me that I had only requested the 2 areas. He's very invasive and he told me I had an attitude during the whole process. I told him that if I was wrong he can correct me, but the fact remains that the gutters were not cleaned properly as he had said they were. It doesn't look the way I was told it should. Every 12 inches there's a white slip on the roof, and it looks pretty bad because I have a brown-red roof. They didn't install it under the correct shingle as the contract stated. I asked him if he'd want this on his house, and his son said no one is going to see it, as long as it works. They put an eggshell colored gutter guard so it's very visible. I live here and I have to see it, and I find that to be very unprofessional. I said if the bottom is gonna look like the above I'd like them to just take the top off and call it a day, but he said I cannot do that. So he went ahead and installed the bottom and it looks worse. He wasn't pushy or high pressured when he originally came over, but it's like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Now the owner said they'd paint the conflict areas, so I asked if it'd still fall under warranty because I was told they aren't to be messed with to receive the warranty. I held off paying him because he didn't have the warranty for me. He came over yesterday and still didn't have the warranty. Now there's fascia problems and the owner is giving me options that really just benefit him.

This is a fantastic company. From start to finish, Tom Kahn was communicative and professional about managing the job, expaining what would be done, and checking in with us that all of our expectations were exceeded. We had a particularly rainy week that delayed the start date of our job and Tom reached out promptly and courteously to let us know when the new start date would be. The installers who came to our house, David and Freddy, were on time and polite. They worked quickly and did a fantastic job -- they even replaced additional fascia that they found was rotten during the course of the installation that they did for free. This is a small family owned business and they treat you like family. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future. Also, their lifetime guarantee on their product is just icing on the cake. Thank you Mastershield!

After extensive research on gutter systems, requested quote from central MasterShield website. The headquarters follow-up emails were annoying, but the Kahn family who's the distributor in the MD/VA/DC area was a pleasure to deal with. They arrived for the estimate when scheduled and once they understood we'd done our research, the approach was a straight forward presentation of their costs for the needed work. Most online reviews/testimonies focused on the installation experience and, if anything, a single season of use. We requested and received references of customers who'd had the MasterShield system installed through at least an entire year. Four of the five responded to our queries with ringing endorsements. Three of the respondents had dense tree coverage similar to our property and similar four season concerns - fall leaves; winter snow and ice; spring tree flowers; and, summer torrential rains. The worst problem reported was that the screen is so fine, the shingle grit was passing over during heavy rain necessitating blowing it off the back porch once it dried out. Based on the responses, we decided the product would be worth the relatively high price. We had the gutters installed after new siding and trim capping was installed by another company. The schedule of the siding work was delayed a week due to weather and the Kahn's were able to work us back into their schedule before the next big rain following completion of the siding work. We've had the gutters and cover system installed for a little less than a month and couldn't be happier. The leaves are falling and we haven't been up on the roof yet. Normally, cleaning the gutters has been a weekly activity in the fall as well as immediately before any forecast rainfall. We're looking forward to witnessing firsthand, the performance through all four seasons.

I was replacing an existing Gutter Helmet system on my house because Gutter Helmet would not honor the warranty. Tom and Matt Kahn showed up right on time to provide an estimate to place MasterShield gutter protection system on my entire house. They walked around the house with me and told me about their product. They answered all of my questions and explained how their product compares to others on the market. Fortunately their crew is very familiar with gutter helmet system (due to being former installers) so they could handle the removal easily. The plan was to install my new system within 10 days but after a last minute cancellation, Tom and Matt were able to have my MasterShield system installed the next day! They are both very friendly guys who know a lot about gutters protection systems. As salesmen, they are very patient in answering questions and do not pressure you to sign a deal you are not comfortable with (unlike some of their competitors). As I watch the leaves fly off my roof and wait for the next rainfall, I am glad I bought a quality Mastershield system from quality guys like Tom and Matt!

I called Mastershield on a Friday morning. Tom Kahn and his son came over that afternoon to discuss the particulars of what I wanted done. I liked the MasterShield system he described and signed a contract for the removal of the old gutters and downspouts to install new downspouts and MasterShield gutters. The job was completed the next Wednesday, October 23. Two installers did the job in about a half of a day. They were quite professional, did an excellent job of installing and cleaned up and hauled off all the debris. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

The entire process from the first meeting to installation was completely flawless! They arrived as scheduled and fully described the installation, warranty and price. They also gave me an Angie's List discount! We scheduled the installation a few weeks later for my convenience. The installation crew arrived on time, did a professional job, cleaned the worksite and discussed the installation. I had to wait sometime since we didn't have much rain in September, however, the rains came in force in October. The Master Shield Guards worked exactly as what was promised. There was no water overruns at all and they worked perfectly even in the heaviest downpours. I had a few other estimates the were a few dollars less. However, the comments on Angie's list were far superior to the others. I can understand why; Master Shield is the best for your gutters in protecting and enhancing your home and its value. Overall great service - very responsive and professional. I scheduled a time for an estimate and Tom Kahn came out as agreed to look at the house and provide the cost. Very low pressure, no push at all to try to get me to sign up for anything on the spot. He answered all my questions and left me the written estimate and his card. I called a few days later to schedule installation and he was able to accommodate me on a Saturday which was helpful. David came out to do the work and did a great job. After inspecting it later I found one area that needed a small fix and I called Tom to let him know and it was taken care of promptly. I would probably knock the price grade down just a half notch if I could because this was not inexpensive, but of couse that is a personal choice. MasterShield is more expensive than any other gutter protection system on the market. However, when you look around and compare systems it is definitely considered to be the gold standard. So, you often get what you pay for, and if the system performs as advertised over time, meaning in 10 or 15 or 20 years I haven't had to think about my gutters then it will absolutely be worth the higher upfront cost. As far as customer service goes, Tom clearly cares about his company and the service they provide. I am confident if any problems develop with the system Tom will do what it takes to make it right. I would absolutely recommend him and his company if you are looking for top end service and product.

We had several quotes from other companies and though the price was much higher than we had anticipated, Mastershield was the ONLY company to take the time to really assess the issues before giving us a price. Ultimately our decision was based on the quality of the work (with no surprises along the way), and not just the price. David (Foreman) ran the entire project like a true professional. Any concerns we had along the way were addressed immediately with professionalism and courtesy. We purchased our home only three months ago and never imagined that we would have some of the serious projects, such as this one right out of the gate. To find a company like this has certainly help take the sting out of being burned (so to speak). We are thankful for having found them and grateful for their hard work and professionalism. We really couldn't give them a stronger recommendation......please try them out for yourselves!

After several attempts to schedule service, technician came and cleaned roof and gutters, then installed gutter guard on the high part of our roof. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgable. He did a great job of installing a very good product. We would use this company again.

The workmen arrived on time and began working. The old gutters were expertly removed and replaced. The workers completed everything well and connected a drain spout to a water barrel that I had previously purchased. I received prompt call backs from the office with any questions that I had throughout the process. The price included an Angie List coupon. I would recommend this company.

It went very well. The company was willing to schedule around another contractor that was working to replace rotten wood in the same area. In process, a minor confusion on size occurred and they stopped the work gave us some choices including tearing out what they'd already done. They were extremely apologetic for the error and ultimately we liked the original work better and they came back to complete it promptly. We will definitely use them to finish the rest of the house next season when the repair work is completed. Very happy customer!

I have a townhome in an established community with some very large oak and maple trees immediately surrounding the house. Normally, a lot of leaves and debris would end up in the gutters every fall. I had been looking for the best gutter guard system for my application and had already decided to try the Mastershield guards based on other reviews. So, I was happy when I was able to save a bit of money upfront by using the Big Deal. It may not be the least expensive solution, but I think the price is worth the quality of the product. And, the experience of working with the owner, Tom Kahn, and his staff was pleasant and very efficient. They kept me informed of the scheduling and everything was done according to schedule. Since the work was completed, I have had no problems with the gutters, and the look of the installed product fit perfectly with the existing exterior paint scheme. I'm very satisfied and I'm now looking forward to a long period with problem-free gutters.
