Work was completed on time, efficiently and neatly. The product is a bit pricey, but I'm so happy that my gutters are leaf free, given that it's November and my yard is covered in leaves. I was up on the roof this weekend for other reasons and was amazed at how clean the gutter guard screens are one month after installation-- completely free of debris despite the recent deluge of leaves, acorns and sticks.

GOOD: 1) quick response 2) punctual for estimate , 3) detailed discussion on what was doable BAD: 1) gave me a written quote and site and expected an immediate decision, 2) never sent a written estimate of options, 3) did not respond to my followup email. My conclusion: when it didn't look like I wanted to invest in the Mastershield, the company lost interest.

Did extensive review of the performance of various gutter guard systems on the internet before contacting making a selection. I had purchased and installed another system on our previous house and quickly learned that the "clog free for life" claim of this manufacturer proved to rather vacuous. From my survey of the performance of a number of systems, MasterShield gutter guards came out on top. I then went to MasterShield's website for an installer and they recommended MasterShield VA/MD. I contacted Tom and Matt Kahn, the father and son team who own MasterShield VA/MD and set up an appointment. They came to the house and looked over my system after which we talked. It became quickly obvious that they knew a lot about gutters and gutter guard systems which was very reassuring. I also appreciated Tom and Matt Kahn's low-key sales pitch. Basically, their sales pitch was that we have a good product with an outstanding history of performance; a highly competent installation team, and they were more than willing to answer any and all questions that I had as truthfully and honestly as they could. In the end, I was convinced and we set up an installation date. On the day of installation, their installers arrived almost precisely on time. They were curious, diligent and professional and completed the installation and cleanup of the gutter guards in a timely manner. At the end, they came to the door and showed me their work, mentioned a number of places on the gutter system may need improvement depending on its performance in rain storms, and emphasized that if I had any problems they would could come back and rectify them. The gutter guards have been installed for about a month. Performance has met my expectations. I still need to see how they perform works in the harder rains typical of late summer and early fall before I pass final judgement on the system. To date, I would highly recommend their system and, in particular, I would highly recommend MasterShield VA/MD.

The new gutters were installed a few weeks ago. I would not hesitate to recommend MasterShield. They did a great job. They stuck to the proposed schedule. There were two men working the job, and they were friendly and happy to provide updates. We've had a few moderate size rain storms since they installed the new gutters, and the gutters worked like a charm. No more waterfalls coming off the side of the roof!

This was the storybook Angie's list experience that seems more and more difficult to find. They are a family owned business and it shows. Gutters were replaced and are working perfectly. They also cleaned and graded them appropriately as part of the work. Drainage is now working perfectly and heavy storms no longer flow over to create erosion issues and property damage. They know the product, they stand behind their work, there aren't any games, it is just business as it should be done: on time, on schedule, professional and excellent. We could not be happier with the project.

Installation went great and was done in one day. Installers did a great job and the new gutters look great.

Fantastic product and reasonable price when compared to other companies/products. They were over two hours late to an 8am appointment (I was their first appointment of the day). I don't fault them for the traffic situation that caused this, but a simple phone call would have been common courtesy instead of depending on the customer to call and ask "Hey, are you still coming?" I'd still use them again though, and I'm very pleased with the effectiveness and quality of the product.

My experience with MasterShield went very well. Tom contacted me soon after I made a purchase of a coupon on Angie's List. We arranged a date and time for him to come out to estimate the job. He and his son were on time and very courteous. They explained their product, asked what I needed (and problems that I was having), and provided a complete explanation of what I needed to resolve my problems. I really appreciated the fact that they told me what I didn't need--didn't try to sell me something I didn't need just to make money. That approach alone built my trust in them. They came out a week later and installed the gutter shields, installed additional downspouts, and repaired damaged areas. I would highly recommend them!

My parents put me in charge for finding someone to fix their aging gutters. My Father has Alzheimer's and my Mom has to handle most of the house stuff by herself. Tom and Matt came out for a free estimate and they got along so well with my Mom she hired them on the spot. The work was done yesterday and she reports she could not be more pleased. Work was completed on time and the men were very good at their job and even had a blower to blow all the leaves and mess into the woods. Mom says she will gladly refer you to anyone who asks. Thank you so much for understanding my particular situation and doing such a great job! My parents will never have to worry about those gutters again! Tracy :)

* Original concerns I had with functionality were resolved to our satisfaction. Still a little overflow water, but thinking this may be due to the oils on the materials that I was told usually take a month of rain to work off. I will continue to monitor the overflow and will call the company again should I feel there is an issue. I have been assured the company will work with me to get things fully resolved.

We looked at a couple of different covered gutters and chose MasterShield because it slants, not allowing leaves to collect on top of the gutter. The gutters were installed quickly and we are glad to have them on before winter comes. We were out of town when the workers came, and our neighbor next door quizzed them in terms of what they were "up to". She soon became a friend, because they helped free a snake that had gotten enmeshed in the deer fence in her mom's garden. All in all, we are happy with the process and with our new gutters.

Overall the process was professional and well done. I look forward to seeing how they work in the next storm!

The provider had some difficulty providing a quote but the installation was quick and expertly done.

Tom and his team are super responsive. Easy to talk to and understand the product and pricing. Great communication along the way as we waited for installation. The team that installed were very nice and easy to work with. They had to come back to make a few adjustments and were prompt and completed the job very well. We are very pleased with the product and customer service.

So I bought a Groupon for $500 worth of gutter work for $199. My project was so small that I really thought that would cover the entire cost. They gave me an estimate and told me that the project cost was $950 and my cost would be $450 after the Groupon was deducted. Over $900 for approximately 40 feet of installed aluminum gutter. Good. - Great customer service and able to deescalate and resolve problems quickly. - You don't have to be home during the estimate or while they are performing the work. - They show up when they say they will Bad. - I had to wait approximately 10-15 days to get the project started. - They had to come out twice because they only tightened my existing gutters the first time rather than replacing them. Ugly. I think the project was WAY over priced Approximately 40 feet of installed gutters for over $900?? As for working with them again, I'd think about it but would have to really scrutinize the cost a little closer

Went on Angie's List 4/26 and submitted a request for an estimate for either 4/30, 5/4 or 5/5. Received email from Matt Kahn to confirm appt for 4/30 at 11 am. Met with Tom and Matt Kahn before 11 am 4/30 and agreed on installation. Received call from Ashley 5/8 that the installation was scheduled for 5/15 in the morning. Mike, Damien and John arrived as scheduled and completed the job at 4:30 pm.

The crew came during their allotted time window. They worked quickly and were careful to remove all debris. The whole process took about 3 hours. Then one of the guys had me walk around to inspect and answer any questions.

Great, fast, prompt and nice. Showed up right on time for quote and installation. Replaced all gutters and one downspout, Explained stuff great and in detail.. Answered all questions.. No problems... I would recommend to my neighbors.

The contractors arrived on time, worked efficiently and did a great job. I was very impressed by their customer service when they corrected a mistake made by the factory with a box that was incorrectly labeled "eggshell" when it was really "white". I happened to notice that some of the shields appeared to be lighter in color than another box. The installer Mike immediately phoned the office and another box of eggshell was delivered within 30 min. by the office manager Ashlee. Mike asked the other guy to remove the white ones they had already installed on one side of the house and replace them with the true eggshell color. They handled it with professionalism and were very apologetic even though it was through no fault of their own. I would highly recommend MasterShield Gutters and Guards for their excellent customer service/satisfaction and the pride in which they do their work. Of course they just installed it today so I can't honestly say how the system performs in rainy weather conditions, but it is a windy day and the little helicopters and other debris from the trees seems to be sliding right off the screen instead of sticking in the holes that our old screens had.

Only took them half a day and they came on a Saturday!

Mastershield did a great job, performed the work on schedule and it looks great. They hauled away the old windows and cleaned up nicely, including cleaning the glass on all the new windows. The work was done in one day, as promised. The guys who did the work were very nice and answered all of our questions. I would strongly recommend Mastershield, and would certainly use their services again. I should also mention that the window style/manufacturer that we needed, to match our other windows, was no longer being sold on the east coast. Mastershield contacted the manufacturer and made special arrangements to get them produced and shipped. We used Mastershield a few years ago to install gutter guards too, and were very happy with that work also.

From initial visit and estimate through final walkthrough everything went great despite the poor weather. The Mastershield and its benefits over other competing products were thoroughly explained to us. The installation crew was outstanding and professional. They arrived on time and their work was great. Would use them again. Going to replace other deteriorating wood trim with synthetic and will use them for that also. Got to see it in action when heavy rain moved into the area and it was great, no more overflowing and flooding our basement walkout area. Water was directed to where it should go. Have large trees all around the house, Virgina pines, Oaks and other varieties. Will not have to worry again about climbing up high multiple times a year to clean out the gutters by hand.

Absolutely fantastic! Discussed the drainage issues around my house to educate me on which problems could be solved the by the new gutters and those that would not. Even educated me on the other types of contractors I would need to contact (I didn't know a landscaper would dig a trench to lay a French drain!?). He also worked with me to prioritize the projects to fit my budget.
