Mr. [Member's name removed], After your job was complete, I called to make sure you were 100% happy with the work, look, and performance of your new gutter system. We did have to come back to make a few alterations to make sure the large, high pitch roof was working properly and even added a few new "Rain Chains" at your request (no charge to you) If there is something that has come up since that you are not 100% happy with please call our office and we will send our tech back out to your home right away. That was a extremely difficult job which other contractors had walked away from. We did it, it looks awesome, and is performing. Please tell me what you need?

Description of Work: The service rep arrived on time for an estimate. He was very friendly and personable. I bought a voucher for $199 towards $500 of gutter protection. I found out later that it wasn't actually for gutter protection (ie. the master shield gutter protection), but really for them to tear down your existing gutters and put brand new ones up and install the master shield. I didn't need my gutters replaced so the coupon would've cost me much more to use than to just return...Which I did.

We aren't the most expensive system however we are the most effective system. Its not worth putting on a gutter guard if you still get clogged gutters or need to clean off the screens periodically. That defeats the purpose. This is a case where you get what you pay for.

Description of Work: They installed some new gutters and gutter guards on most of my 2story hous and garage. They did an excellent job and were on schedule. They are high quality gutter guards and I have no fear that I will need to have them cleaned again | |The only drawback is that they shed a small percentage of the water and so you have some mild dripping over the edge of the gutter. This is also true when and if they ice over a bit. Still worth the expense though.

Thanks for your comments. Indeed you will never touch your gutters again. The reality is the older and more weathered your MasterShield becomes, the drips will go away except in the winter. Its not really the snow, but more often the freezing rain or sleet that will cause dripping. It usually will last a short time until melting completes. Thank you for your business.

We contracted to install MasterShield gutter guard on our 2 story colonial home in Columbia, MD. Our house has a hip roof with den and sunroom extensions as well as a two car garage...which required approximately 300 feet of the MasterShield gutter guard material. We reviewed a lot of background material before making our purchase. Tom Kahn of MasterShield VA/MD came to our home on Jan 11, 2013 and made a very straightforward sales presentation without the usual high pressure sales pitch. Tom answered our questions and was very pleasant to deal with. Installation was done on Jan 29 (delayed due to weather). The installation men (Mike and Scott) arrived before 8 am and set up. They worked steadily until almost 4 pm to remove existing gutter guards, clean gutters and complete the MasterShield installation. Both Mike and Scott were very personable and answered all our questions and concerns knowledgeably during installation. Everything was cleaned up and went smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better installation (or purchase) experience.
Description of Work: Removed existing gutter guards from 2 story colonial home with den, sunroom extensions and garage. Cleaned gutters. Installed 300 ft of MasterShield gutter guard.

The installation went without any real incident. Still, I was a bit disappointed that they used a sub contractor without informing me that would be the case. In fact, it was a one person installation 'crew'. However, he seemed to know his stuff and did the rather large gutter job in about 5 hours. In talking with the installer, it would seem he does all the company's work. If that is true, it is hard to believe as he lives near Richmond! The other thing I might mention is that I never heard back from Tom (owner of the company and my salesman) once the installation started. I guess he figures if a customer has complaints, they will notify him - which is probably a good assumption. Still, since there is a sub contractor involved, I would think he should be canvassing his customers after the installation...
Description of Work: In shopping for a gutter protection system, please be forewarned, you need a totally sealed system to prevent those pesky maple wings. I have a problem with these wings as my maple trees seem to produce these in the millions. Any way, Master Shield was the only sealed system that promoted their installation at the same angle (or steeper) than the shingles. That way, there is little or no accumulation on top of the gutters. Any way, after I researched most of the gutter systems, I decided to go with Master Shield. In addition, since I just had a new roof put on my house, I decided to have them replace my gutters at the same time to make the best looking installation. Of course, I could have saved some money and gotten away with just the gutter protection. The owner of the company, Tom, was a good salesman in that his price was his price - not the often used big discount if you sign today ploy.

Thank you for the comments. David is one of 3 crews we have that do our installations. He does work by himself however that is how he works best. We have crews spread out in Virginia and Maryland and try to set them up for the least amount of driving as possible. However that doesn't always work out. That said, they are the best of the best when it comes to the quality of their work. We demand no less. As always, if you ever need anything please call. Estimates were done quickly and work began promptly when promised. MS folks did a good job cleaning up and their work has addressed our leaf and water volume issues.
Description of Work: This is the second time we've used MasterShield - the first time was about two years ago. Our house backs into the woods and we had continuous leaf issues with the gutters on the back half of the house. MasterShield installed covers on the existing, 4" gutters and more recently, replaced a section of 4" gutter with 6" gutter and a larger downspout to accommodate the large square footage of one section of our roof.

Very happy with the end result. I found the staff to be professional and punctual and the quality of work good. Matt came out for the initial estimate and was detailed in his description of the level of effort necessary as well as how long it would take and when they could come out to do the work. Once scheduled, the work was completed in 1 day while we were at work.
Description of Work: We had new 6-inch gutters and downspouts installed along with the MasterShield Gutter Guard.
