The company was terrible to work with. The first time they came, our house was left no better than we left it. When I called Mia to complain, she told me that the cleaner got sick and needed to be sent to the hospital. However, no arrangements were made to re-accomplish the work, and no refund was delivered. It was just my problem to deal with. The second time they were supposed to come, they no-showed. When I called Mia this time, she told me that I'd been so dissatisfied with their work the first time that she assumed that she shouldn't come. Her remedy? She canceled on someone else the next day and came to our home instead (and told us as much!). I admit the work was excellent the second time. The third time however, again, my house was no better than when we left. The floors were never cleaned (juice spilled from my son that morning was left in the center of the room), the countertops were not wiped, crumbs were still on my kitchen floor.

Overall, I was more pleased with the cleaning than with the interaction with Mia (who I believe is at the early stage of her professional career). When Mia provided an estimate for the cleaning, she quoted me a price of $90-$110, but subsequently charged $120. I asked about this discrepancy when I scheduled my 2nd cleaning, and Mia reported that it was due to 5 people cleaning the apartment, rather than 3. I told her that 4 people came to clean my apartment, and Mia told me she would charge $110 (but continued to insist that 5 people had come, defying the "customer is always right" maxim). The other difficulty I had with communicating with Mia is that twice, voice mail messages (to schedule the 1st and 2nd cleanings) went unreturned and email replies weren't always timely (but sometimes they were). These are minor issues but, to some extent, suggestive indicators of the quality of future interactions with the Green Mop.

Outside of periodic vacuuming and dusting, I have not had a proper cleaning of my house in two years. A three member crew arrived and at some point they called for a fourth person. The team cleaned everything until it sparkled, top to bottom. They checked with me anytime they had questions, and they also went through each room with me before and after to point out what they had done (including baseboards) and where there were spots or issues that they could not remove, like on some old bathroom tile or ceramic fittings. In addition to admiring the use of eco-friendly, non-toxic products, I also thought they did an incredible job. I breathed easier once all that dust was gone! I should add that prior to the cleaning, the owner came over to look at the property and provide an estimate. She gave a range and it ended up being the top end of that range. But I couldn't complain because they probably worked longer and harder for what I paid! This is an ethical, hard working company.

Crew of 4 women arrived on time, brought their own equipment and supplies, and worked non-stop for almost four hours.

We emailed Mia to schedule a cleaning within a few days. She was responsive and made arrangements for the team to come early on the upcoming Saturday morning. Three ladies spent 2 1/2 hours detailing the house--one spending a significant amount of time in the kitchen and bathrooms. They were pleasant and professional, and accepted special requests, such as folding clean sheets and blankets. There were a few missed areas: top of fridge, dusting pendant shade, mopping laundry room floor. However, when I pointed them out, the head cleaner apologized and they went right to fixing those areas. I picked The Green Mop based on reputation and that they used environmentally responsible cleaners (good for the earth and the health of the cleaners), and was very pleased with their service and will use them again.

They left my home really clean. They did such a great job, I will definitely call them again. They showed up on time and worked very fast. My home smelled wonderful after the work was completed. The service was worth every penny I spent with them.

It went very well. Mia came to see my home and talk to me about my needs first. Then, we scheduled the first-time cleaning. One member of the team was ill, so she contacted me the day before, to tell me that they would be running a little late. They came, they worked, and my home looks wonderful. I should also, note that I have 3 indoor cats!

I got the referral from Angie's list. I emailed the green mop and within a day got a response from Mia, the owner. We set up an appointment for her to come over and give me an estimate. Mia was on time, professional and polite. The crew came on the designated day and did a great job.

Very average cleaning job during a move in. They do not return calls for follow up services.

Mia responded to our emails and set up a time to come and take a look at our apartment and give an estimate for the work as well as explain what would be involved. She was very clear about all of the items to be included and asked if we had any specific requests which we could send by email which she passed to the staff. They set up a time frame and picked up and returned keys to the front desk as requested. Everything was as promised and better than we hoped. All that, and she uses environmentally friendly products.

I canceled my normal cleaning people that come every two weeks to meet with her. I was excited to meet with her because they are eco-friendly and they do laundry. She also said she cleans a house down the street. She didn't show up and didn't even call. Now my house won't be cleaned for a month. I found it very irresponsible for her to just not show up. She should have just called and canceled. I called and left her a message and sent an email and she did not respond to either.
