Description of Work: Assessed and tuckpointed as necessary about 125 x 5 foot brick and stone retaining wall. The crew did a very thorough and professional job. Also filled in an air conditioner hole in the house. The match of brick and mortar was outstanding. Bernard spent a lot of time making this repair perfect and the results showed it.

Description of Work: Bernard came out to my home to give an estimate but I had to put off the work for the time being. Bernard answered all my questions, was thorough in his estimate, and cares about his work. Will be reaching out again.

Description of Work: Bernard is great! He is an old fahioned craftsman who takes pride in his work. I had problems with mortor on the brick walls of my house. He was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done. His work far exceeded my expectations. His attention to detail is amazing. Neighbors in my townhouse development had similar work done by other masons. He was so careful in matching mortor and his other work it is not possible to see the repairs, unlike the repairs on my neighbors homes done by others. He and his crew were prompt and professional in every way. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Bernard and his crew paved the concrete steps leading from the upper part of my back yard to the lower level. They also paved the upper landing leading to the first step. Bernard and I discussed at some length what I was looking for in the finished job, agreed on a price which I regarded as very fair, and set a start date. He and his crew arrived right on schedule and finished the job in about a day and a half. They were clean and professional. The finished job was beautiful. I would not hesitate to use him again. He's a real pro and a nice guy to boot. Five star recommendation.

Description of Work: We have had a foundation crack and brick repointing issues for as long as we have lived here...17.5 years.The double whammy of earthquake and hurricane drenching caused us to get serious about the problematic seepage into the house and the disarray of the bricks. Bernie discovered a dual subterranean crack in the foundation that required more extensive work than we anticipated. His work process was professional, fully explained, safely excavated, dutifully enacted, even in pouring rains, in order to protect our interior and repair the problem. He and his assistant were on time, totally polite, respectful, and fastidious. The work is complete and the clean up is perfect. Description of Work: Bernard did a great job building brick planters, doing some historic tuckpointing on the house (Capital Hill) and fixing my chimney. He also repaired the brick patio and stairs in my back yard.
