Description of Work: Manoukian Brothers 1) re-appraised Oriental rugs of various sizes to update an appraisal done many years ago by another company, 2) annotated that appraisal accordingly, 3) appraised other Oriental rugs and provided a typed summary of findings, 4) completed minor repairs (weaving of small holes, stitching of several ends, binding), and 5) cleaned all the rugs. | |Technical expertise, services, and integrity were outstanding. Prices were reasonable, in keeping with Manoukian Brothers' high integrity. Timing was perfect. Communication could not have been better. I needed not only irreproachable technical expertise and trustworthiness, but also someone willing to talk with me about various rug issues. Mr. Manoukian was patient and kind, and did a wonderful job of answering questions and offering advice. He went out of his way to assist us under stressful circumstances. As far as I am concerned, Manoukian Brothers is the best.

Description of Work: The cleaned, evaluated and repaired a very old oriental rug. Repairing numerous worn areas,removing and replacing machine binding and sewing fringes on both ends, hand binding both sides and color touching repairs and other slightly worn areas. They clearly love their work and respect fine old carpets. They did a great job in less time than I had expected for a price that was entirely competitive.

Description of Work: I've had Manoukian clean and repair carpets and kilims. This is old school service. They don't make 'em like this anymore. I've had other cleaners shred my kilims when they clean them. I'm about to take another prized kilim in to them for cleaning. They finished very quickly and I thought the prices were reasonable. I checked out his carpets for sale and the prices were not that much more than what I spent in the country of origin for some of my carpets.

The did an excellent job cleaning and repairing our rugs, one of which was expensive and very sentimental for us and they completed the work in a timely manner. We will definitely have more of this work done by them in the future.
