I purchased a Big Deal coupon for $109 to re-caulk and clean the grout in one of our bathrooms. After I purchased the coupon I waited for them to contact me to schedule the service. After a couple of days and no response. So, I reached out to them. Still no response. I had the Big Deal Help Desk send them a friendly reminder to contact me.....still nothing. So no work was ever done and I have requested a refund. The sad part is I have a lot of grout work that needed to be done that I was willing to pay them to do over and above the services listed in the coupon.

OK, nothing special about the service.

He was fine, came on time. He did all that I asked of him. He did a wonderful job of correcting work that someone else has done. The work was very professionally done.

We had scheduling issues. The job was a little better than average. I feel like I got what I paid for.

Service was very timely and professional. Very good communication. Kept the work area very clean and ensured that the work was reviewed by us before the job was done. Two upcharges were offered, mold remediation/prevention and an upgraded sealant.

He did good work. It was very difficult for me to get him to come. We had to reschedule a couple of times and then of the two things that I wanted him to do, he could only do one. He explained to me why he couldn't do the other one and that's fine, I understood that. But with the one thing that he did, was just caulking around the bathtub and then he said he noticed that some grout needs to be replaced, so he said he would remove the grout and then bring some more, because you have to buy a whole lot of grout if you have to buy grout. So he was going to help me do that, but he never showed up and he never called back. Of the two hours that I paid for, I really didn't get two hours of work. He did help me with the air conditioner; taking out a filter and putting it back in. What he did, he did very well. It's just follow-up and scheduling that were not all that good. The price was fine.

I was not happy with the work. They actually knocked the grout out. It really didn't come clean.

Gustavo Borja is an honorable man. The original offer was totally misunderstood by me but Gustavo, the owner of IRS, listened to my side of the story, understood where I was coming from, and returned another day to do the job as I understood it to be at a fair, renegotiated price. The outcome is spectacular - the counter looks brand new. If I could, I would enclose a photo which I have taken to share with my family and friends. The outcome could not be better. We highly recommend IRS and Gustavo Borja as a dependable contractor.

Negatives: > Don't expect to get scheduled since it seems like a one man company. I had to wait for 2 weeks before being scheduled. The contractor has to change schedule one more time on the same day.(may be because of overwhelming demand by sellings coupons on Angieslist) > Sales pitch of the contractor starts even before the job begun. (read other reviews for more information) > Gross mis-representation of value mentioned by coupon ( ANGIES LIST --This one is on YOU for allowing to sell unscreened coupons like these.) > If you have a local trustworthy handyman, this deal is not for you. Positives: > Professional in terms of explaining why I need to hire him for more services. > Perfect clean-up after the job is done. > Overall quality of work done is fair, may overlook some of the job if not inspected immediately. > Answered follow up call and can provide good bundled-up offers to make the job even better.

Gustavo was not interested in letting me use my coupon for a tile "touch up" of our bathroom. Instead he quoted me $1100.00 or $650.00 to have either of my bathrooms totally re-grouted. I don't believe that total replacement was necessary and will have a second contractor out to confirm this. Then Gustavo said that if I didn't want to do the big jobs I could just ask Angie's List for a refund. I did not get the feeling that this man wanted to fulfill the coupon's amount of work or that he was quoting me that great of a deal for the total regroutings.

My wife and I were both highly satisfied with service. The workers were corgil and diligent to make sure we were satisfied with the service they provided. Very courteous and interested and making sure they were providing what we desired.

I had him come out to do the work, but he refused to do it without about $200 additional cost that were not indicated on the Deal.

He was completely nice and professional. It was just that my interpretation of what the deal offered was not actually what was included in the service.

A little bit of scheduling issues. But once he got here the work was done promptly and well. He also examined the marble grout and determined that the color was original and he could not help me there. At least he was honest about whether or not he could do the job at all.

I paid more than the $299 big deal. I actually bought the tile that was a higher quality. I also bought the gout and the individual coloring that goes with the grout. Then, they made me pay $250 extra for removing the sink and the commode and they install that. They were busy when I called a couple of times, and we put it off and put it off, and they were finally able to come out that period of time. They do quality work. They did a very good work, and they kept busy and got done as quickly as can be with the tile floor. The price was excellent when they advertised on Angie’s List, but they came in and they had a lot of additional add-ons. They wanted to make the price go a lot higher than in my mind should not been. I would contact them directly and would have them come out, give me a price which is negotiated in advance, and know all the things they are going to charge me for over and above that. They also found that my bathroom door was not closing all the way, and they took a sanding type device and honed that down. The door works fine now. They also put a little grout in the corner of one of my tub areas and put some kind of cleaner on the tub area as well.

I had a coupon for $109 for 250 feet of grout/caulk repair. When the contractor arrived to do the work (an hour late and with no tools), he looked at the stall shower and told me in addition to the caulk being removed, extensive mold remediation was required. It would cost an additional $325 on top of the $109 I had alaready paid. It was also too late in the day to start the more extensive project so in addition to taking off work Wednesday afternoon, I also had to take off four hours of work on Thursday morning. That being said, he did a good job and cleaned up after the work. I am reluctant to use any more Angie's List coupons because i think they're all just a way for a contractor to get his foot in the door and then raise the price.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Interstate Remodeling and I plan to use the company a few months down the road to completely have the tiles replaced and regrouted in our main bathroom. I originally purchased the grout cleaning big deal but after Gus showed me some broken tiles , I decided to have additional work completed. He gave me an excellent price and replaced several broken tiles in two bathrooms. He did recommend a longer laster epoxy type grout and caulking which I agreed. I am really glad that I went with Gus' recommendations and love the work he completed. The caulking is so neat and the bathroom looks better than it has in years; Gus is truly gifted when it comes to caulking. The technician Interstate sent was very knowledgeable and actually seemed like he cared about the serivice he provided. Gus was very professional and friendly and he likes dogs....which was a plus. Gustavo arrived on time and performed all of the work quickly. He was very thorough and everything was great.

Interstate Remodeling did a fantastic job re-grouting our master bath. Gustavo and team were punctual, professional and consultative. They were not pushing costly add-ons or upgrades, but did recommend doing more in my shower than the coupon covered. After several questions and a thorough explanation of my options and why it was necessary to expand the job slightly - we did it and have been very happy with the results. Great job to these guys!

The technician looked at the job and said that it was not that dirty. He recommended we get a refund and so we did.

Mr. Borja was incredibly responsive and thoroughly explained my options for the work that I needed to have done. There was a delay because I did not have the tile chosen when he began the work. He found time in-between other jobs to finish mine and I was very impressed with his willingness to do so. The quality of his work is excellent and I am thoroughly enjoying the new and renewed tile in both bathrooms.

Our original intent was to use the Grout Restoration Big Deal and wait to have the replacement done later. We did use the big deal for other baths and floors but we were so impressed we got an estimate and contracted to have additional work done. This change in the scope of work resulted in a need to choose materials, colors, etc. The contractor was helpful and patient throughout the process. The clean-up from the demolition was great with a minimum amount of dust. A job well done!

I actually had the tiles that I wanted, so he used those. He came when he said he would, did the work the way he said he would, and did a good job.

The entire experience was awful. They cancelled on me at least 4 times. Sometimes without notice. I would take off from work and sit and wait for them. When they did show up, there was always a problem or an extra charge.

They did not caulk, but they did clean the grout. Overall it was a reasonable deal. There was a mix-up regarding scheduling and they arrived on the wrong day, but the cleaning went well.
