we bought an angie's big deal for bathroom caulking and regrout for up to 250 square feet. the contractor began upselling as soon as he arrived to do the agreed work. we believed the big deal included removal and regrouting of at least that existing grout which was mildewed or loose. the contractor advised the big deal did not include removal, only "cleaning of existing grout" and recaulking. he then advised that he would not be able to get the grout clean but would be happy to provide us with an estimate to remove the existing grout and regrout. the new estimate was $600. we asked the contractor to simply perform whatever services we got for the $109 big deal. the contractor did recaulk and made an effort to clean the grout, and did provide some touchup/regrouting in some areas of our shower. the contractor in our opinion, did perform work equal to the amount paid given the time spent working. we do not consider this a worthwhile big deal but do feel we received services in line with the amount paid. we have no complaints with the actual work done. the big deal description did not acurrately describe what we actually received.

It took at least 3 scheduled & cancelled appointments. I lost more work time than it was worth. We finally got together but he insisted on doing additional questionable work before he could do the big deal work. We aggreed on an additional $400 worth of work but at the end of the job he said it was $500. I asked him for a detailed invoice of the completed work because I'm not sure he did what we agreed upon. He said he didn't have time but he would email it to me the next day. I'ts been 4 months and still no reply.

The work progressed right on the agreed schedule. The doors and windows were masked to prevent grout dust from getting into closets and the HVAC system. Gustavo and his helper were prompt and courteous. I paid him with a personal check.

We have a small master bath and thought the price was fantastic. Called after purchasing the deal and setup an appointment. Asked how the"deal" works and was told the price included everything. The owner/installer would bring the tile, etc... He called two days before to say if he has to move the toilet it would be an extra $100. I pointed out his "deal" said everything included; which in my book should be labor cost. Still at $399, we said sure. No longer a "deal" but the project would be done. When he showed up he said the cost of moving the toilet was $180 instead of $100. Huh?!? The guy has a heavy accent and insist he told me $180. No way. He said that he's losing money by putting in the floor for the advertised price and has to recoupe somewhere. He went on and on about additional cost for subfloor and grout, etc... Then when my husband showed him his deal online we stumbled upon his current one for $995 with the exact same wording..." all labor and materials included". There's no difference between the two. So whether you pay 299 or 995 for the "deal" he's not even licensed and he's going to want more $$$$. Totally disgusting experience. Requesting refund from Angie and don't recommend Gustavo or the deal.

The man gave me a telephone estimate based on the measurements I gave him for one small shower install and one tiled shower area over our bathtub. When he arrived, he immediately told me that he had to increase the charge. When my husband and I indicated to him that we were unhappy with his changing the estimate, and that we were going to cancel the job, he offered to add a "sealing" service for the tile. I was surprised because my understanding was that the sealing was included in the original estimate. However, we agreed that he should continue. After he had finished and left, I noticed that he had chipped many of the tiles in my upstairs shower surround. I assume that he did this when he was removing the old grout. It looks bad, and I am very unhappy that he did such an unprofessional job, as well as really unhappy that he did not point out to us that these chips had happened. I would NEVER have him do any work in my house again! NOTE: I do NOT want this man to be able to identify me by my review. He made me uncomfortable.

The provider and I got off to a bad start when he very early one morning on the wrong date. I was trying to get to work, but ran back into my home to pull things out of the bathroom to allow him to steam clean and caulk it. My adult daughter was home so I left for work. To my surprise when I came home only the area around the shower stall had been cleaned--much less than the area noted in the contract. When I spoke to Mr. Edwards, he insisted he had cleaned all of the tile in the bathroom. This was not true because there was dust around the floor and spots that should have been very easily steam away were still present. He was unavailable to come back soon and suggested I call him in a few weeks to schedule a date. Since I did not like his attitude, I really do not want him in my home.

I don't think contractor wanted to do the work. He kept telling me that Angie's List could refund the money. He wanted to include the ENTIRE square footage of the bathroom, including walls, even though we just wanted him to caulk the stand up shower in the bathroom.

I originally hired the contractor because of a coupon for $50 for $150 of caulking and grout work for kitchen and bath. One thing I did not expect was that the grout work in the bathroom meant that it was steam cleaned, not replaced. I had expected that the grout work would have included re-grouting as needed in the bathrooms. There was one tile on the bathroom wall that was lose. They fixed that, although it was not covered as part of the caulking and grout work. I asked the contractor to perform additional work which included caulking around the inside of the windows of the house, outside of the sliding glass doors and the front door, and painting the outside of the front door frame. The contractor identified a problem with the wood frame around one of my sliding glass doors. He fixed this without charge. I am not knowledgeable on pricing of the kind of work that the contractor performed, so my ranking of B for pricing may not be accurate. However, that is how I feel about it so that is what I put. The contractor was courteous and accomodated my schedule. The caulking looked good. He did a thorough clean up after the job was finished.

It took 4 weeks for to get something scheduled because they would not call me back and said they didn't have time. They tried to cancel my time on day of the appointment after I had taken off of work. When they finally arrived, they just wanted to sell me additional services. I was told that that they really couldn't clean the grout very well and that regrouting wouldn't do much good. They obviously had somewhere else they needed be, so they rushed through the job and got out. Very poor experience for me and I would not recommend them.

Very well. He replaced damaged/ill-fitting tiles in two parts of the shower. It took three separate visits, but that's mostly because stuff had to dry, etc. He was a little late one day, but overall I am very happy and plan to use Gustavo again.

Initially, I signed up for one of the Angie List special deals but, as often happens, the job required more work than the scope of the special deal covered. Although it cost more than I expected and wanted to spend, the work needed to get my showers back in good condition was more than I originally anticipated. In the end, I was happy with the results.

I was really disappointed in them. They were supposed to come on the twelfth, but he said he was sick and then came six days later. He called and said he would be here by noon on that day, and he came at 8 o'clock at night and worked for two hours. There wasn't really a problem with the work he did, that was fine.

When Gustavo started working on what I originally wanted to have done, as he was working, he took time to point out other areas in my bathrooms that should also be addressed. He suggested that once he removed some mold that was building up, that it would be advantageous for me to treat my bathrooms to prevent future mold. In addition, he pointed out areas around some of the tiles where the grout was missing. He made these suggestions without my feeling like my bathroom was going to crumble around me if he didn't do it. No pressure at all!When Gustavo finished, my bathrooms they looked brighter than usual. I am very pleased with the work and I will absolutely use Gustavo again for my calking and grout needs.

He had some help come with again. He promised he would be the one doing it this time. The price was a bit high for the work that was done.

I made an appointment a month in advanced and took off work for the scheduled time. I called them the day of the appointment when they didn't show up and they will not return my calls.

I thought he was great. The owner of the company came out. He was really good and did a great job. I liked the fact that he was really communicative about when he was scheduled to come. He kept letting me know if he was on his way or if he was going to be late. I really liked that.

I had no trouble contacting Gustavo via telephone.Gustavo showed up on time for our appointment the day after the "derecho" storm, even though he hadn't been able to reach us and there were widespread power outages in our area. Because we had no power, the appointment was rescheduled for a day two weeks later. On that day,Gustavo called to let us know that he was slightly behind schedule and they arrived as promised. He and his assistant did a wonderful job cleaning the grout in our kitchen. They were professional and competent. I would not hesitate to use his services again for more extensive projects.

Very hard working; very neat, bathroom was left spotless and looks great.

I had a very difficult time contacting him to schedule an appointment. I was quite clear that I needed a morning appointment. Twenty minutes before he was scheduled to arrive, he phoned to tell me he was going to wait for traffic to lessen, and he would not arrive until the afternoon. He then promised to reschedule, and I have not heard from him.

Gustavo showed up on the predetermined day and immediately go to work. Worked for three straight hours and left the bathroom immaculate and did a terrific job. Very courteous. I would definitely use him again!

The shower stall now looks great. They seem to be a very busy company, and Gustavo had to juggle some appointment times and had the additional problem of his cell service. As he was sincerely apologetic, I decided to make the new appointment, which he kept precisely. Once on the job, he communicated with me constantly. They did good work and I think the price was reasonable.

It went great, my bathrooms are older and I was getting some flooring work done and the 3 bathrooms needed to be caulked around the showers and sinks. He came on time and called when he was on his way. He was here over an hour and we could see he was meticulous in seeing what needed to be done and doing an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable about his craft and clearly explained what we should do and what was not needed. He left no mess at all. Can't ask for anything more .

Did very professional job, really got my money's worth on this special coupon,would highly recommend.

My appointment was made two weeks in advance for 7:00 AM on June 4, 2012, and I spoke with Gustavo the week before. At 7:15 AM on June 4th no one was here, and I called only to be told that there was no information about my appointment. When I mentioned this was an Angie's List coupon, he had a change of personality and apologized saying he would be out himself after 2PM and would offer me some kind of service to make up for this. I told him all he had to do was this work today. He did get here a little after 1PM and did the work. It has happened so often that I take time off from work and the service person is late that I do not use those people any more.

They never performed the work and did not respond to my phone calls or emails to schedule an appointment
