I can't say enough good things about Cameron Jones. I learned about his service in 2012, in Moby Dick's carry-out line. Cameron noticed I was having trouble with my smartphone and he politely offered to help. After asking for his card, I called him to troubleshoot a problem with our 4-year old, but little-used computer. (We're not into replacing computers every 2-3 years.) He did a great job and I learned so many things during that service visit. So when the alarms went off this year about Windows XP, I knew who to call. As in 2012, Cameron responded immediately to my request for help. He's everything you would want in home tech support. Smart, thorough, reliable, reassuring, always accessible, and reasonably-priced. Highest recommendation!

He is good, really really good. He is so efficient and gets the job done so quickly at a reasonable price. He is a wonderful guy. It is hard to find an IT guy that is good, but he is.

Cameron was extremely responsive-- he contacted me as soon as I sent an inquiry and was able to accomodate my schedule (as opposed to the other way around with the other 2 I heard from). He was early and got right to work with cleaning up the viruses that I had on my computer and installed a program that will automatically update adobe, java, etc. He also fixed a problem that he identified with my printer. He was not only very knowledgeable but very professional and courteous. I was very happy with the service and will certainly call on him again should I need computer service in the future.

For some time as I was playing a downloaded game , it would pause without warning. At first it was a mild annoyance. Then it began doing it more often and more games became afflicted, it became a very huge annoyance! I sent Cameron an email and he responded immediately. We emailed back and forth as he tried to guess what might be happening. Finally I asked if I could come by his place the next day as I lived not far away. I dropped off my laptop and that night he called and left a message that he had discovered what was happening. I arranged to come by his place the next day and he showed me what he had done to rectify the problem. He had fixed two of the games ,and he gave me a hands on lesson of how I could fix the others and any new games. He also update my video drivers and loaded a few software programs . Cameron was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I would recommend him to anyone with computer problems. Oh, and he has the cutest little dog !

I could not have been happier with Cameron. He absolutely knew what he was doing. I have worked many times over the years with computer experts and have never had this good of an experience. He is fast, knowledgeable & helpful. I would highly recommend his services.

He is really great. He talked to me on the phone and was able to determine my problem was an internet provider not my computer. His analysis was quick and helpful. I also took my phone to him and he was able to address that issue as well.

Mr. Jones arrived as scheduled and quickly isolated the router issue. He replaced our router with an updated one, made sure all devices worked/had connectivity to the internet, and that the printer worked as well since it is wireless, too. He also provided some tips to keep the internet operating at max speed and to prevent malware from pop-up ads. Great service, great attitude, reasonable price. This work was done last Fall. I've had some questions that have come up since then that he has assisted with over the phone or via e-mail. He is dedicated to his work and loves what he does. I will definitely call on him for any future computer issues.

I was referred to Cameron by another computer person who happened to be out of town. When I called Cameron, I asked if he could possibly meet us on Sunday, since our calendar was pretty full and that was pretty much the only available time. He agreed. He showed up right on time, sat down and went to work. Cameron, unlike some people, has the ability to talk and work at the same time...at lightening speed, I might add. He pointed out things that needed to be cleaned up on the old computer and then went to work transferring all the data onto the new computer and an external hard drive. We asked lots of questions which he was always able to answer. He was here 2 hours, but when he was finished, we felt confident that we had everything in place and that it worked well. We would not hesitate to call Cameron again. He is charming, efficient and knowledgeable. What more can you ask?

It went very well. He diagnosed the problems and solved them quickly, explaining to me what he was doing as he went along. He took measures to help me keep my computer clean from viruses. I highly recommend his services.

Scene: Bedroom with one dusty 23-inch TV sprouting wires everywhere, used primarily for sports and DVDs of Hollywood oldies. Living-room desk with landline phone wired to black-and-white printer wired to ancient, doddering computer (5-minute reboots) wired to heavy gravestone of a CPU. Sound familiar? We were tired of living in the Stone Age. Our modest goal was to become slightly more modern. We therefore subscribed to Angie?s List, which led us to Cameron Jones, 21st-century IT specialist extraordinaire. In two visits lasting six hours, Cameron listened to our requirements (we basically wanted to go faster, smarter and wireless but, being slow and wire-bound, had no idea how to do it) and recommended a new printer, computer, laptop and TV, all high-quality and inexpensive. We bought the stuff and two weeks later Cameron returned to hook it up. It was a complete assembly from boxes to an integrated, fully wireless network. Cameron started up the new desktop PC and laptop and transferred all data from the old PC to the new PC. He installed MS Office and a remote-support system (Team Viewer) on both the PC and laptop, increased the memory x3 on the PC, and set up email accounts in both our old email systems and Thunderbird. (These are only a few of the programs and services he provided.) He also connected the printer to both computers and connected the new TV wirelessly to the Internet. He then showed us how to use all of these newfangled contraptions. At the end of his labors, after Cameron had already produced an invoice, we noticed some wires connected to some cabinet accent lighting that had gone astray. This had nothing to do with Cameron?s job, but we mildly complained (more wires!), and Cameron, on hands and knees, pulled and prodded a little and presto! Wirelessness restored. In addition to his impressive knowledge and experience, Cameron has a remarkably comfortable personality for this kind of work. He never makes you feel your inexperience. He is totally without sarcasm or other negative behavior. He wants you to be satisfied with your devices and able to operate them to your complete satisfaction, and he works hard at this goal. He was thoroughly professional & friendly...willing to answer any questions. He had to get rid of the problem software & then reinstall it so problem got solved. Made sure everything worked correctly before he left. I would recommend him very highly because of his knowledge & professionalism.

Cameron was fantastic. He was prompt in responding to me and set up a time to come to my home within a few days. He magically transformed my computer so that it is visually easy to use, set up the new e-mail address, integrated it with my i-phone, and installed a program to organize my photos. I was extremely satisfied with his work and professionalism. A couple of days later I had a problem receiving e-mail on my new account and I contacted Cameron. He was out of town on vacation but, nonetheless, immediately responded by phone and that evening corrected the glitch remotely so it now works perfectly. I will definitely rely on Cameron for my future computer problems.

Our family and my parents have called upon Cameron on several occasions over the years. He is simply the best. He's got an incredible ability to quickly, and cost effectively, improve computer performance - your older computers will be "as good as new" when he's finished with them. On this recent visit, he worked on eight different devices, and improved the performance of each one, as well as our overall network speed and efficiency. Cameron will also educate you on options, processes, and new innovations that you will not be aware of as even existing - he's saved us $100s of dollars over the years and provided us with excellent, simple-to-use solutions which solve security, parental control, and speed issues. He also helped us repair our computer chair and suggested a fantastic car repair shop. The world would be a much better place if all consultants were as competent and helpful as Cameron Jones.

I had called several Angies List recommended computer repair individuals in or near where I live in Bethesda and found them either disinterested, condescending or even rather discourteous with respect to what they must have felt was a minor job. Then I found Cameron Jones Computer Services. Cameron was a breath of fresh air - courteous, friendly and professional. He told me he would be happy to look at my laptop the following morning. Even though Cameron is across the bridge in Virginia, I found his manner so engaging that I went this morning. When I got there, he was right on time. He tackled what turned out to be an unusual problem with my dislocated laptop display, and he did it in a matter of just 15-20 minutes. When I asked what was the charge, he insisted on no charge for what was a small (though challenging) repair. I can't tell you how impressed I was with this service and professionalism. Cameron knows his stuff. If I ever have a future computer or network problem, in my book this is the person to call. Give him a try. You won't be disappointed.

Cameron is an expert diagnostician. He is patient and spent the time needed to get my MacBook Pro functioning properly. Cameron made me feel like I was his only client and did not rush my questions as we checked the 11 items off my list! I feel Cameron went the extra mile by suggesting a browser that is faster than the one I was using, and suggested an upgrade to the newest operating system. He installed more memory and let me decide if I felt my computer was functioning better with it. Cameron is full of suggestions and recommendations and lets you, the client decide what you want to do with the information. It's hard not to trust Cameron and his advice. I would highly recommend Cameron and his services. I did just that as soon as he left my home!

I have had Cameron come twice now and he is very very easy to work with. He is on time and goes at a pace where someone like myself who is not computer savvy can understand . He also made me work on the computer to make sure I understood what I was doing. I had some questions after he left and I called him. He called me right back and helped me with the problem. I will continue to use Camerson... He also has a very sweet dog that I allowed him to bring with him..

My original reason for contacting Cameron was that my Macbook Pro had been running hot and then just stopped working altogether. I decided to also take in an unused Macbook that had been lying around to see if I could also get it up and running. He diagnosed both machines and clearly and thoroughly explained the good news/bad news to me. The Macbook Pro had a non-working fan, but that was likely not the reason that it wasn't working. The Macbook just needed a new OS and some software, and maybe a little more memory, and it would be OK. Since my life was on the Macbook Pro, Cameron transferred took the memory out of that machine and put it onto the machine that was working, and then transferred all of my data so that nothing was lost. While I'm disappointed that I lose my 17" screen, I'm relieved that I still have a Mac and all of my data. Cameron was pleasant, patient, and responsive throughout the entire process.

He put in a new router, one he had recommended, and went through all the settings including the band selection quickly, normally a tricky process. It then worked superbly. 8/4/13 - Again, exactly what we needed.

When it became apparent that my computer needed "professional help", my husband delivered the computer to Mr. Jones on a Saturday morning and it was repaired by that afternoon. He did an amazing job and my computer is functioning as if it were new -- much faster, etc. We are extremely pleased with Mr. Jones' services, his prices are very reasonable, and we would not hesitate to use him again should the need arise. His prices are quite low -- very reasonable.

Great. Responded almost immediately to any email communication -- including those through Angie's List. Helps analyze on phone. Good connection afterward. Ability, like other tech support, to work my computers remotely when authorized to minimize travel needs. Details explained above.

Mr. Jones talked me out of replacing my computer and recommended a memory upgrade instead. System is now much improved and could have years of additional life and I spent much less than I anticipated. I even contacted Mr. Jones weeks later on an unrelated computer question, which he promptly answered. Highly recommend.

Cameron removed spyware / malware from my desktop computer. Did a bang up job, I'd recommend him to anyone.

My experience with Cameron was great. He arrived exactly on time. We talked about the plan. I was ready to just add more memory to my 5 and 8 year old computers and ended up, at his suggestion combining the two and getting a new one. Clearly this was the best choice and he made it all seamless. It's like the patient that said to the doctor, I have this disease and would like this treatment and the doctor, Cameron, said, no you have this disease and this is the best treatment. I strongly recommend him and would certainly call him any time I need his services in the future.
