Excellent work in a very timely manner

GREAT. THE ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, HAVE GREAT EQUIPMENT, ARE BONDED, ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND ACCOMMODATING. THEY ALSO WERE FAST AND CLEANED UP SO IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE ANY WORK HAD BEEN DONE IN MY FRONT YARD. ALSO JUST NICE.

They gave me the best pricing and did what they said they would. I had no problems with them.

They did a great job. It was perfect, it was a thousand dollars. They took down the tree in like 20 minutes.

I did not use them. I have not moved forward on the project.

Richards Tree Service set an appointment and the arborist (Rock) arrived promptly as scheduled. We went over what was to be done with each tree. Rock gave advice on future tree care, and the proper placement of mulch (if used). On the day of the work, the crew arrived promptly as scheduled. The work was completed in approximately two hours. Not only did they cut low hanging limbs from each tree, they also shaped each tree to keep them pleasingly symmetrical. The stumps were removed as requested. They removed all debris, and left the property looking well manicured.

We just had Richard's Tree Service (703.354.3667) take some dead limbs out of our HUGE oak tree. They brought a big crew, found dead limbs we hadn't noticed and removed them as part of the job, did NOT try to talk us into more work, and did a super clean up job. Their work was superior. I would hire them again without hesitation.

Some initial confusion as to how much we wanted the tree cut back overall but the crew was very responsive and helpful in getting us on the same page.

It was a large pine tree that they had to remove the stump. They are great. They are very responsive and do a great job.

Richards Tree Service, we did end up using to come and do some work on a tree in our yard. I would say that was a good experience as well. I would give the price an A, they were definitely competitive with a lot of other companies we looked out. They were very good, the thing I remember about them was they gave us an initial estimate, and then came back and said that they were concerned that their estimate was too high for the ultimate amount of work that they needed to do. Once they re-evaluated and got on site and they were very upfront with us about that, and they ended up actually doing a little less work than they initially had called for. Which I thought - that was a very telling bit of honesty.

Richard's crew did an outstanding job. They arrived on time and when in a matter of about four hours they had completely taken the tree down, shredded the branches, and had the trunk of the tree sawed up to haul away. Richard's crew all removed the stump, and cleaned up the entire yard of sawdust, branches, etc... I could not have hired a better service.

It didn't. I don't deal with companies that operate like this.

They were wonderful. They definitely came in and did more than I needed to do and it was efficient and it was a great experience. It was minimally invasive to my life. So basically they came out and gave me a quick quote one morning and then about a week, Chris showed up and did it without me being home and left me a bill. I love that, hands off. The price is good.

What stood out to me the most is their professionalism and timeliness.

We have had very good dealings with Richard's Tree Service through the years. They helped us a great deal a few years ago. One of our trees came down in a storm. It was a huge tree and they did a great job carefully cutting it and getting it out of here and working just down to the roots and getting the whole thing taken out. They just are terrific. Part of the tree landed on and wrecked the deck roofing, so it just took a while to maneuver all this. They are always very friendly. They are easy to work with and they are extremely good and thorough with their jobs. They do a great job cleaning up. I didn't have a mess behind to deal with. They didn't leave the job partially completed. They did a thorough, complete job and it was just a relief because that turned out to be the easiest part of this whole saga of trying to deal with this downed tree and the damaged deck roof. It was expensive but it's dangerous work to take down trees.

After looking at tree service providers on Angie's List, I called Richard's. There was a slight glitch in that the office staff got my phone number transposed, so that I had to call them back after I failed to receive the promised scheduling call for the estimator. That got sorted out, the estimator showed up as agreed, and gave me an (free) estimate for the work. (I later confirmed with the office staff that there would indeed be a senior citizen discount applied.) An appointment was made for the work, and the crew (all 8 or so of them!) showed up on schedule with bucket truck, hand and power tools, and chipper. Organized chaos for a while, at the end of which both trees looked like they had not been pruned ever (but with problem branches and deadwood removed). That's the goal of good pruning, and they did a great job - even removing stubs and a few smaller dead branches which hadn't been included in the original request, without increasing the charge since they said it did not materially increase the work time (which was just under an hour, I believe). Misc - insurance certification (liability and workers comp) was provided with the quote (and verified by phone/email). All workers showed up in hardhats, which seemed sensible. Once I explained that what looked like an area of dirt with a few weeds had actually just been planted, they took care not to walk all over it. Friendly all the way down the line, but also extremely competent - will definitely refer!

They showed up early, so as to beat the rain. They had plenty of workers and equipment and they trimmed our tree beautifully. When we asked them to take a bit more off the side over our walkway they did so quickly. Professional & friendly on the telephone and in person.

I was not satisfied with the work they performed. They said they would let me check their work while the men were still in the tree so I could ask for additional limbs to be removed. They did not do this.

The workers did an amazing job of removing the tree, ensuring no more damage was done to our property. They removed all debris and did an outstanding job of cleaning up the wood chips, and sawdust. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs to remove trees and/or just trimming tree branches, etc...

This company was very responsive to my request for service and flexible with my timeline. They had a great price and did excellent work. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family.

Workmen came on scheduled. They did an excellent removing a large maple tree limb hanging over the roof and trimming other branches away from roof and house. They worked very efficiently, stacked the branches on the curb and cleaned up the roof and yard well. Later that day the chipper truck came and chipped the cut off branches and hauled them away. Estimator came at scheduled time. He wrote up a detailed description of the work which was performed exactly as contracted . Richard's was the lowest of three estimates I obtained for this work but the work performed was of high quality. All the workmen and the estimator were very pleasant and personable to deal with.

They did what they promised but I was a little disappointed to find out that they didn't remove stumps but that was not part of the deal. I didn't feel like I was misled, maybe if I had a do over, I would have shopped around more and I'd make sure they include the stumps. I would consider them again. They were punctual and picked up after themselves. They didn't clarify what the tree removal fully entailed.

When I called to start the process, they were at my house within an hour to give me an estimate which was $1400. We set up the appointment to remove the tree and took the tree down within the week. The job was done very quickly and professionally. They made sure that there was no damage to our fence (the tree was about 3 feet from the fence) and were here and gone within an hour. They cleaned up afterwards. We were very happy with the job. The price was cut 20% because we were first time users from Angie's List. They also give a senior discount of 20% that we can use for future needs.

The estimator arrived on schedule and provided detailed advice and an estimate. The office scheduled a date which had to be delayed because of rain. On the rescheduled date, a crew of ten did the work. I was very pleased that they were willing to accept my collaboration on the work which they performed carefully and professionally. They also found scale on the willow oak which will be treated next Spring. I was completely satisfied.
