It went really good. I was very impressed with their craftsmanship. They were very thorough with their work. They cleaned all the windows and made sure everything was left spotless. They were very kind, when I had questions they answered them all. We had multiple estimates for this job and they gave us a great deal.

I really appreciated that Window Universe didn't go for the "hard sell" or patronizing tone of other window companies, especially as a single female (who knew that buying new windows had so much in common with buying a new car?). Their prices are a little higher than some of their competitors, but they'll take the time to walk you through everything and no question is too silly, so it was worth it to me. I had a little miscommunication with them after the otherwise smooth installation over why the windows wouldn't lock on first go, but they were responsive. One caveat: the "average" quoted amount in terms of heating bills saved really depends on the building and situation. For example, I saw about a third of those "average" savings. But Window Universe has been responsive on post-job follow-ups, and their windows definitely improve the look and value of anyone's home.

Window universe was great to work with. When they came to do an estimate, there wasn't any pressure or "hurry up and make a decision and you'll get a special deal". Thier price was very reasonable compared to three other companies that we looked into. The instal took 6 hours with two men and they were clean and professional. We love our new windows and are at peace that there is a great warrentee behind them. We plan on replacing the remaining windows this spring with window universe.

--Ordered a double glass door on Nov 10, 2014 and paid 50% deposit on a $1600+ purchase. The door was to arrive in 4-6 weeks. The door was measured by the salesman; and later by two company representatives. The first week in Jan 2015, I received an email stating the door was ready for delivery. --On Jan 27, 2015, Jason, the General Manager and a 20 year Military Vet, called to apologize for the delay and confirmed the door would be delivered next Saturday, Jan 31. Jason added the delivery had been delayed due to the holidays and cold weather/snow issues because his company insisted on outstanding installations, even during Winter months. --The Window Universe product was delivered on Saturday, Jan 31, 2015; I am happy with the result as the double door appears to be superior to the Tompson Creek windows that I purchased last Summer,

They sent out an entire crew and finished it in a day! The staff was professional and incredibly comfortable around our dog, which we appreciated. Our energy bills have improved slightly this winter, and the new windows of course look and slide much better. We are so happy with this upgrade!

The Salesman was very thorough and offered helpful solutions to our problems. The company sent us updates on a weekly basis to keep us informed of the production timing and process. Installation was quick and done very well. We were impressed with the follow-up after the job to ensure we were satisfied with the product and service. We have had no complaints and would highly recommend Window Universe.

Overall a very good experience. The sales representative Ted explained all the details, quality of the product, delivery process, etc., and he was willing to pay us a visit a couple of additional times to review further details, measurements, led-paint tests. The full production and installation process was agreed upfront and updates were sent to us regularly. A few weeks later the product was delivered, and installed in 1 1/2 days. It's been a few months now and so far no issues. We are very satisfied with the quality of the windows, installation, and overall customer service of the company.

Window Universe had a great deal on Angie's list that allowed us to get 10 windows replaced. Only additional cost was the lead containment on some of the windows which they stated up front that it was a possibility. The day for measurements was scheduled and occurred without issue as well as the actual installation. This property is a rental and the tenants noticed the improved retention of cool air (it was August when they were installed) immediately.

Windows Universe outmatched other companies with their availability and price. The salesman came to our house on a Saturday which met the needs of our busy schedules. He was able to accommodate our needs and find an entry door that was within our budget. The installation team was prompt and friendly. They arrived on time and provided a professional service. I would absolutely recommend this company to my friends and family!

The installation was quick and well done. However, it took 2 months to get the windows ordered and scheduled for install. Other than that it was a good experience and I will most likely use them again.

Our sales rep was responsive and worked with our budget to ensure we received the quality we expected at a great price. The installation team was professional, fast-paced, and pleasant to work with - they were in and out in just a couple of hours. Only hiccup was a window was accidentally left off the production order, so a second quick installation appointment had to be scheduled once the window arrived from the manufacturers. We are very happy with our new windows and can feel the difference they have made to our home temperature during the winter season.

The salesman was prompt, knowledgeable and clear but all the options were very expensive. I did not need such a fancy door for an exterior workshop so I was not able to use the coupon I purchased and it has lapsed. I should have found something else like a smaller door but it slipped my mind until it was too late.

There were additional costs that were not mentioned in the deal. I chose not to work with this provider due to that.

The installers were extremely professional and completed the project ON TIME! After installation they gave my wife and I a complete demonstration on how to use and clean the windows, plus walked us through every window for inspection. Professionalism at its finest!

they are very professional and on-time. Kept to their word. I'm not happy with the quality of the double-hung windows -- they bow in the middle and the company told me that was from the humid weather. Well they still do that in the winter and I've had other windows in a prior house that didn't have that issue.

It went great. Their salesman was a nice normal guy who explained everything in a no nonsense way in a short period of time. He was very knowledgeable as well. There were no high pressure sales tactics like some of the other companies I had called for an estimate. They also gave me the best price of anybody and installed on time and all in the span of one day. The windows look great and the installers did a nice job. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family.

Before we got our windows replaced in our home, we had bids from four companies. Of the four, Window Universe was the best price by several thousand dollars. I appreciated that when the salesman came to my house, he did not try to pressure me to sign that day or to strong-arm me with exploding offer prices (which other companies did). I also liked that he brought a sample window, so I could get an idea of the product. After selecting Window Universe for our project, a man came to measure our windows and to confirm our selections regarding window type/style etc. After the measurement process, we received weekly updates regarding the progress of our order and our installation date. On the date of the installation, my husband let the workers in after I had left for work before then leaving for work himself. If not for the fact that all of the windows were new when I returned home, I wouldn't have known the men had been in the house. Everything was left in great repair. The windows have so far been great, every window met my expectations and was correct per the order. Having the modern windows was a real relief compared to the 100 year old windows we were living with before. Overall, I highly recommend.

I had Windows Universe replace the windows at my home this year. I chose them because they offered the best price for the quality. Everybody, from the sales person to the techs, were very kind, friendly and professional. They said they would be arriving at 8:00am and 7:55am they were knocking at my door. I?m very happy with my new windows. They are making a big difference this winter. I recommend them.

This is the second time I've used Window Universe for a window replacement project. The first project (for the front windows of my rowhouse) went so well that I did not hesitate to use them again for our back window project. I'd done a lot of research the first go round and Window Universe impressed me immediately with their transparency (a clear and detailed pricing checklist rather than a random number scrawled on a piece of paper), responsiveness, and professionalism. Moreover, their prices were very competitive and the windows come with a transferable lifetime warranty. My only recommendation, if you have burglar bars, is to keep a close eye on the contracted burglar bar removal man (as this is a not a service of Window Universe) who dropped the bars ungracefully on our porch roof and punctured a hole.

Sales went slow, we had a new install with odd shaped windows and patio doors. Sales person didn't understand new install. After the contract was finalized the project moved on to build the windows. The installers were wonderful, the install was quick and they were polite and cleaned up after the install was complete. They went over each window with me and with only one small problem, that was handled by the company that made the windows, the whole install went very well. I need another door replaced and will go to the again.

Estimator was on time and thorough. We went over all details, selected window and crew came out to measure window opening. Window was custom made and took a while to fabricate. We were informed of this ahead of time. Installers came on time and were incredibly conscientious about the installation. In my opinion they went the extra mile to take care of the installation.

The installation was carried out quickly and efficiently. They have excellent customer service.

Overall I was very impressed with WINDOWS UNIVERSE located in Alexandria, Va. The owner, Dan Schweihs, is a kind man and very professional. I received a GREAT price for my bow window, including the installation. The window is simply beautiful and the measurements EXACT. I could not have have been MORE PLEASED with the two men, Ryan and Eddie, a subcontractor with Windows Universe who installed my bow windows. I can be difficult to please if I feel I am not getting my money's worth for services rendered. This was definitely not the case with Ryan and Eddie. They did a FABULOUS job installing my windows, which required much HARD WORK, ATTENTION TO DETAIL and LONG HOURS...all done with a wonderful attitude. I have a VERY LARGE picture window and had the job not been done correctly in every facet of the bow window installation--inside and out--it would have been glaringly noticeable. Their work was IMPECCABLE! I most definitely would RECOMMEND Windows Universe to anyone who wants a great price for their products offered and OUTSTANDING work labor of which you can be confident.
