Walter came out and gave me an idea of the scope of the remodel. He outlined in detail exactly what I wanted to do. He works quickly and efficiently. I will recommend this company to everyone.

Walter was very prompt in returning calls and the work was done in a timely and efficient manner. When he adjusted the kitchen cabinet, he removed the entire cabinet and trimmed a small amount from both the top and the bottom of the cabinet. By doing it this way, the cabinet continued to align with the adjacent cabinet and it was not obvious that the cabinet had been trimmed. He and an assistant did a great job with the drywall and painting. They covered the area well, so there was no mess when they were finished. They worked quickly and professionally. The end result was that everything looked perfect and you couldn't tell that any work had been done. We are very pleased with all the work performed and would definitely call them again.

I spoke to John on two occasions. Both times, John promised to get back to me promptly to schedule an estimate for the work I needed to get done. After he failed to call me back the first time, I called him again. He apologized for failing to show up that morning; however, I had to remind him that we had never agreed that he would come that morning because he had never gotten back to me to set up a time for the estimate. He apologized again. He said he was in his truck and had to consult his calendar and would call me back quickly to set up the estimate. Again, he failed to get back to me.

I requested an estimate for the following work: Lay a plywood floor in my attic, install an aluminum compact pull-down stairs in the existing ceiling opening, add a ceiling light fixture in the attic, and patch a small hole where small animals might enter the attic. Walter came by to take a look. The following day, I received an estimate from John, his partner. The estimate was 5 1/2 times higher than an earlier estimate I received from a general contractor. After telling John what the other bid was, he said he would take this information into consideration when pricing similar projects in the future.

Overall I can honestly say this company is the real deal. It's very hard to find honest and trustworhty hanymen (contractors) in this area. We have been burned several times and at this point were over even trying to find a contractor. Thank you John, Walter, Joel, and the painter (sorry, didn't get his name) for a JOB WELLl DONE!! I have already hired them for my stair rails and excited to see the finished product!

I needed some painting done as well as few odd jobs, so I called the company and spoke with John, who later came out to give me an estimate. The price seemed reasonable and we scheduled the work to be done just a few days later. John, Walter and team were very friendly, organized and efficient. They covered the furniture, put down tarps, and then taped off the area in preparation for painting. They guys worked really hard and put in a long day, but they finished all the inside painting the first day. Because of their efficiency, I was able to put my home back together that evening after they left. On day two, they came back and did some touch-up painting and other odd jobs inside, powerwashed my porch, and then painted it later after it dried. Then Walter assembled my new grill to go on my freshly painted porch! Everything looks great, and I couldn't be happier with all the work they did. I'm already planning the next list of projects, and Walter has given me quotes on some things already. It was a great experience and I've already recommended them to two of my coworkers!

I called My Hunny Do at 4 PM on Monday and Walter and crew were at my door Tuesday at 930AM. They were a few minutes late, but called me to say they were stuck in traffic.They saw my problem ,which was rotten rake boards on my townhouse. Since I wasn't going up on the roof, Walter took pictures to show me the damage. They got to work right away, and quickly got the job done.Will use again.

Bottom line -- stop looking around and call these guys. John took my call immediately -- even though it was after hours. He understood my unique situation (having to get all the work done in an occupied unit within a very short period of time) immediately and really showed he cared about helping to get it all done, no matter what it took. He volunteered to start on the weekend so we wouldn't lose any time. He promised to have a full team present at all times -- electrician, finish carpenter, painter, etc.. so we could be maximally efficient. He showed up precisely on time and got his team to work on the spot. His partner, Walter also came right on time to survey the electrical work and help organize the job. Joel, their finish carpenter was extremely fast. Their painter was equally efficient and with such perfect technique that he didn't have to waste any time masking and draping -- there wasn't a drop of moulding color on the walls and not a drop of wall paint ont he mouldings when he was done. When I've used contractors who bill by the hour in the past, I've had to stay right on top of them to be sure they are staying busy. These guys were amazing. They moved quickly from item to item on the job list, often making suggestions on ways to get the work done more efficiently or ideas to make the final look even better. I couldn't believe how much they got done each day. They arrived early and stayed late each day with constant awareness of the importance (to me) of getting everything done before I left. They offered helping hands when I was carrying supplies or fixtures into the unit, moving the washer/dryer out of the way -- even though I didn't ask. They took tremendous pride in their work, cared about the smallest details, and really took on the challenge to finish everything in the allotted time as if it were their own goal and not mine. They were clean, respectful, considerate and friendly. Whether it was a big job like putting up 180 lineal feet of crownmoulding, caulking it and painting it in one day, or a little job like fixing a small ding in a plaster wall -- they took it on with gusto. And, they didn't need to be reminded about anything. If I said it once -- they remembered it. In fact -- a couple of times they reminded me of something I wanted done that I had forgotten about. Unlike other contractors I've worked with -- they were not constantly running to Home Depot to get one part. They made complete lists, came prepared for the next day's work -- and virtually never left the job site. As you can probably tell, I can't say enough good things about John and Walter and their team. They are not the cheapest hourly rate workers, but you get twice as much prodcutivity each hour than you'll get with anyone else. Perhaps best of all, I now know I have someone my son can trust to take care of any l problems that may develop in my son's condo in the future-- big or small. I'd feel totally comfortable giving them the key, having them let themselves to do the work and to call if they have any questions or problems. I have total confidence that they'd respond quickly and competently and compassionately should my son ever suffer a "homeowner's emergency." And for a father 3000 iles away -- there's no higher compliment. I feel lucky to have found them on Angie's list. Call them and hire them. (Just don't do it when I need them, please!)

After trying to set-up numerous appointments with other handymen, I finally called Hunny Do! Their response time is unbelievably amazing! They called me back the same day and set-up the appointment for the next day. I don’t think words can describe how appreciative I am for their assistance– you have to hire them to see their customer service related work ethic. They are very professional and a great group of people. I will definitely hire them for all future household projects. I even have three potential projects already in mind for them to complete.

Both John and Walter showed up. They repaired 3 kitchen cupboards that had broken runners, and fixed a leak from the bathtub faucet. It took them about 2 hours, because they had to go for parts and also we had problems locating and accessing the water main for my elderly house. They did a good job, except for a couple of minor items explained below, and they were friendly and pleasant to work with. There were a couple of issues discovered after they left, one was no cold water for the sink and the other was the tub faucet had the hot and cold switched. John came right back and fixed the kitchen water supply problem, so that caused no inconvenience. Later, Walter came back and fixed the reversed hot/cold problem in the tub. John really took the initiative to ensure everything was to my liking; I only had to call him once to get the two errors fixed.

Walter and his assistants arrived on time, introduced themselves, and commenced work immediately. They removed the old hardware on each door of the gates, and began rebuilding each door. They attached the new doors with new hardware. They were very efficient and cleaned-up the yard area where they worked when they finished. They did a beautiful job. I intend to have them return a replace the fencing around the yard.

Walter stopped by my house at about 30 minutes later than the scheduled appt. time, saw what was wrong and went out to get everything he would need to fix it. He came back and did a great job in fixing my door in a timely manner.

Joel came on time, very polite, wasted no time, have all the tools and replacement kits needed with him. His supervisor Walter came to bring other materials needed, and checked the attic and the roof. The toilet is fixed nicely and the ceiling looks very good - could not tell that a portion of the ceiling was replaced, even spackled and painted some dents (due to moving furnitures from a year ago) on the nearby drywall. Very responsive when I called them to fix something. Very professional. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them highly to my friends and neighbors.

I have rental property that had a leak in the master bathroom's shower that needed to be repaired. I had a handyman before that had repaired drywall and tile, but there was still a leak. I thought I traced it down to some tile that wasn't seated right and gave John a call (based on the great reviews from Angie's list) to take a look and do an estimate. Due to a miscommunication, Walter showed up and got to work instead of doing an estimate. Walter had traced the leak actually to another problem that was causing the leak. Walter fixed the leak and the job took about 5 hours. I have not seen the workmanship first hand, but the tenants have reported that it looks first rate and that the leak is fixed. John was very apologetic about the miscommunication and made it right by substantially discounting the cost of the job (1 hour labor + materials). I have met many contractors before that are worried about the job "right now" and don't care if a mistake was theirs or not. John showed he stands behind his company's reputation and was more concerned about my future business. I've found a new handyman and will definitely be using John/Walter in the future.

Flexibility My Hunny Do was very accomodating in terms of scheduling, and did most of the work during a week I wasn't working at my request. They were very understanding when certain of our materials were late coming on and worked around those issues. Quality These guys were absolutely determined to do the work right. They were detail-oriented and extremely responsive whenever we had any minor "nits." All four bathrooms look great and work great as result. All of these guys are expereinced and skilled in all the critical areas, including plumbing, electrical, tile, drywall, and light construction. John and Walter called frequently to make sure were satisfied with the progress of the work. Punctuality They showed up on time every day and worked full, continuous days until the job was done. Cleanliness They cleaned up every day before they left. They took off their shoes whenever they came into the house per our request. Attitude They were extremely respectful and friendly toward me and my family. They are a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely use these guys again, and strongly recommend them to anyone contemplating a kitchen or bathroom remodel.

My experience with Hunny Do was great. First, they were able, on just a couple days' notice, to come to my house on a day when I was working from home. John, with whom I spoke about scheduling, was very responsive and accommodating. Second, Walter and Joel -- who arrived right on time -- were excellent in the work they did. As you can see, the list of little projects I had was pretty varied, yet they were able to do it all. They did each of the different projects quickly and everything now works great. Third, Walter and Joel were very pleasant. We even worked in a little conversation about politics while they worked, which was fun yet didn't slow them down. Fourth, they were very flexible. When I scheduled them to come out, I mentioned only three projects. Once they were there, however, I thought of two other things I needed fixed. They cheerfully did those additional jobs. Fifth, they were efficient. While one of them ran to a nearby store to purchase a replacement part, the other one continued working. Sixth, their price was very fair: $79/hour before the Angie's List discount. I got all these things fixed for about $160.00, including the cost of the replacement parts. Next, I appreciated that they were both willing and able to do this array of small projects. Given how pleased I was with their work, and learning that they also replace roofs, I asked them for a bid to replace mine. Finally, I appreciated that John gave me a follow-up call to make sure I was happy with the work they'd done. As you can tell, I am happy with Hunny Do. So, these guys are great! If you need things fixed around your home, call Hunny Do.

We had hung the drywall in a new bathroom, but knew we were not experts at finishing the walls to make them look really smooth, so we hired John and Walter to do the finish work for us. They were quick to respond, professional on the phone and provided a very reasonable estimate. On the scheduled day, John called to apologize and let us know he was very ill and would not be able to come that day. He called again later to apologize and even offered to come during the weekend instead. Once he was finally well enough to come, the work went quickly (two days of just a few short hours of work to allow the coats to dry in between) and the final product looked great. We were very pleased and intend to hire them again for other projects around the house.

I recently bought a home that required the back exterior door to be replaced. The door was unsafe and deteriorating. After bad experiences with Home Depot and another contractor, I found Walter through Angie's List. Since I was limited on funds, Walter provided me a couple options on replacing the door. The one we settled on was getting a replacement door versus replacing the entire door frame and door. He took measurements and provided me with door sizes so I could go and purchase the door. Walter would then take the door and size it to the existing frame. Before purchasing the door that I had found, I called Walter to confirm. He responded quickly and we setup the time for him to come and install the door. The entire process from when Walter came to the house to provide an estimate to installing the door only took 10 days (taking into consideration New Year's and my schedule)! This compared to eight (8) weeks that I wasted going through Home Depot and the other contractor. I confirmed our appointment the day before and Walter was there the next morning. His work was precise and he tripled checked to make sure every aspect of the door fit perfectly. In addition to the door, he installed the weather guards, deadbolt, knob, and strike plate. And after he had completed the installation, he cleaned the work area. He did an absolutely great job and I feel much secure with the replacement door! I've seen a couple handymen who do just enough to fix the problem and I much appreciated Walter's work because I can see that he takes pride in completing the job to perfection. Thank you Walter!

Extarordinarily easy to work with. I wasn't sure if i wanted to replace my porch railing with PVC or go back to original wood. These guys brought out BOTH so I could see what I liked best, and after installing the PVC, on one railing and painting it, I decided to go with that. But the ability to go with either and see how it looked before moving on was really appreciated. Great office and great workers. All lights went in (walter had to do some spiffy detective work to find the GFI) smoothly, Painting and woodwork look great.

What a great experience! I sent an email and Walt was available to come on Friday of Christmas week when I wasn't hearing back from anyone else! I wasn't going to be home, so explained how he could get in the garage to do the garage door opener replacement. Then I left a note asking for an estimate on a few other projects and he called to say he could go ahead while there and get things fixed - including buying the motion detector light that I wanted to have installed. Not only did he go ahead and get all the work done on my list, but he saved me a trip to Lowe's by going and getting the lights that he installed! What a prince!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. When I got home that afternoon - everything was done and the work was outstanding. I'm very pleased and will continue to reach out to My Hunnydo Handyman when I need more work to be done!

I called My Hunny Do Handyman and within 2 days Walter came with his crew. He provided me a quote on the spot and started working right away. His crew broke more drywalls, killed the mold, sealed the wall (put new insulation), and painted the walls (all in two days). The cost of this job was $1000. I had minor jobs that I needed to be done: fix lightings, and put a new fans in the bathroom, paint the bathroom ceiling, etc. and he performed the work with no issue (The cost for the extras $300).

Walter was great. I called on a Friday afternoon to schedule a time to get an estimate on a new chimney cap. He followed right up and was here as promised the next morning. He was able to fix up the chimney cap and seal up the cracks that very day and was also able to help me replace some washers on my very old shower system. In addition to being prompt, he was very professional and did excellent work. I'll definitely be calling them again.

Our experience with My Hunny Do made us glad that we called them. They came out, and performed the required work on the same day. And, they did so for a very reasonable price. To top it all off, our bathrooms look so much better now. Thank you.
