They did a great job. There were no unexpected issues that occurred.

It went very well. It took them a couple of hours the third time but they didn't charge us anything.

The work was great! It took 2 days longer than expected but the crew worked hard the entire time so I didn't mind paying for the extra time. The punch list was extensive and so it was hard to estimate how long it would take. The crew was very knowledgeable and extremely professional and polite. I'm very happy with this company and plan to use them in the future!

The service was great and everything worked out well. They were prompt in contacting me and answering my questions. They also did some extra work after asking me. I was very pleased with them, however the one thing I was not pleased with is that they never received the deal that I purchased but they still honored the terms of the deal for me. They got the job done in about 5-6 hours.

John and Walter showed up on time and were very professional. They took their time diagnosing the problem, which required going throughout the house. They then proceeded to cut two holes in the drywall, one upstairs and one downstairs, and fixed the source of the knocking. Finally the holes were repaired and painted. These guys are very pleasant to work with, and I got a great chinese restaurant tip as well! I Will hire them again for sure.

After doing a little research on the cost of replacing a hot water heater, I purchased a coupon on Angie's List from My Hunny Do on Thursday. I was hopeful that I could have the project done before my new floors were installed the next week, but knew that such short notice might not work. Happily, I received a message from John the same day of my coupon purchase and he scheduled the installation for the very next day with Walter. Walter was a little late due to another job running over, but John called to let me know and make sure the later time was still convenient. The installation was a little complicated but Walter remained calm and professional the entire time, always being sure to explain the issues to me. He never tried to charge extra or sell me any other service, as has happened with other service providers in the past. The new water heater had a defect so Walter had to exchange it at the store, which meant he had to work well past 6 pm to get the job completed. He never once seemed annoyed by this, and in fact seemed more concerned that he was inconveniencing us, which was not at all a problem. He cleaned up thoroughly and showed me how to operate the new water heater. Within a few hours, the new unit was up and running with no issues. I would absolutely recommend My Hunny Do and will definitely be calling on them again for future projects!

Would use again. Called at 7:30am on a Sunday morning and, to my own surprise, John answered the phone. I explained that a puddle of water had formed under the water heater in the night, and it was continuing to rapidly leak. John called his plumber, Walter, who was able to come out on a Sunday and replace the water heater. As far as I can tell, the job was well done. They replaced the old unit with a new unit of a slightly different size within a few hours. They honored the AngiesList Deal Price, although they tried to add a $200.00 emergency fee for an immediate Sunday visit which they negotiated down to $100.00. For immediate service on a Sunday, $100 seems about right ($200 is a little high). They did inform me of this fee in advance and I agreed to it. The only minor complaint in performance is they had to extend a hole in the wall to ground the different sized water heater. Since it is in a closet, it is not a big deal, but they should have discussed it before doing so. There is now a hole in the closet wall that was not there before. All else went well. Prompt, professional, and quality service at a reasonable (not low, but reasonable) price.

It did not go well for us. We were quoted a price for some repair and when they came out to do the repair and they looked at it again. We have gotten all the equipment for them vanity, lighting and stuff like that to install and they came back with their box and said that they had quoted us too low of a price. They couldn't make any money off of us and they gave us our check back and then we had to find someone else to do the work, but that didn't do well. My husband had taken off from work so he could be around the house when they initial start they were going to finish at a basement room and didn't. Apparently initially when they guy came over walked through the house gave us an estimate. He thought it was we didn't need as much material but then when he came back with crew he said he made a mistake that we needed more material for the room and that they were going to have to charge us more than what they initially quoted that he wouldn't go us back and give us a different quote either. He just gave us the check back and said that they couldn't do it. The guy was really friendly and nice. If he had done the estimate correctly it probably would have done that. We would not use them again.

AMAZING!! John and his team are great! They are actually currently doing another job for me right now! The first job is what this review is about. They knocked out a wall in between our kitchen and dining room to open up the space to more of an open concept idea. They did just an amazing job and surprised us with even painting the walls when that wasn't in our contract. Again we liked him and his team so much and the job they did that they are currently finishing our kitchen remodel! Great pricing as well, he recommended that we shop around, so we did. Not only was John and his team the lowest price they were also honest and and willing to work with us. I'm a very picky homeowner and like my ideas and he was great with working with me! I highly recommend him for anything you need!

They were excellent. They have a reasonable price and they did a great job with various projects around my house. Theya re also very straight-forward.

They were unable to complete the work because the pipes were frozen, but the experience was very pleasant. They were extremely responsive, having called them on Saturday night and they were available on Sunday, and they also gave a great estimate for when the work can be completed.

They were extremely responsive. When I called in the morning they got someone out to unclog the drain that afternoon. They tried with the smaller snake but unfortunately the clog was further down, about 40 feet, so they had to get the bigger (more expensive) snake out. Although it was a lot of money I know other places would cost about the same or more. I definitely appreciated how responsive they were and how fast they fixed our problem so that we could use our kitchen sink and dishwasher again. About two days later we noticed that the pvc plumbing under the sink was leaking where it never leaked before. We called that night and they came out the next day to fix it no problem. I was very happy with the service and would definitely use them again.

John, the owner, is a pleasure to work with - he is very straightforward, provides reasonable estimates, and is quick to offer his own professional knowledge and insight on further improvements and options for consideration. He takes to time to explain the work to be performed, additional costs that may be incurred, and answer questions regarding projects. The My Hunny Do team is extremely punctual, has a keen attention to detail, and is highly thorough. On our projects, they have gotten the work done right the first time and in many instances went above and beyond in order to ensure that the project was completed to the highest standards. We wholeheartedly endorse My Hunny Do and plan to continue to do work with them for years to come. It's not often that we find someone that we will go out of our way to do business with, but My Hunny Do is now firmly in this category for us and we look forward to working with them in the future. As an aside, our townhouse, due in large part to the quality work done by My Hunny Do, sold in one day!

They were on time and professional as always - diagnosed the hot water heater, determined that the unit was functioning properly all heating elements and components were in working order, and there were no leaks or damage to the water heater. Because the hot water heater is a 2008 w/12 year warranty it has usable time left on it - I decided to wait and see what happened. (And to really pay attention to how long my kids are in the shower!). Paying the small fee to confirm that the unit didn't need to be replaced easily saved me 800-1000. Very glad I called. Once again, My Hunny Do helped me maintain my house, provided excellent service and most importantly prevented me from spending money I didn't have to. When it truly is time to replace the unit, they'll be my first call.

It was a difficult job because the kitchen is tiny and he had to install the electric wiring as well. But it was well done. The contractor was very pleasant to work with.

After speaking with John, the boss who he spoke with. John gave me a price of $275. He stated that was the minimum charge. I was a bit surprised and wated to ask more questions about what the charge entails. To fix the small leakage, he said that the cost would be $275, I asked if that was a few hours of work and John said that it was the standard for basic service. My concern here is two folds. The coupon advertised 119 for 200 dollars of work. John says that there is no work for $200, meaning that this coupon is deceptive in the fact, that I would never pay $119 for a service and regardless of what the work is I would be charged more than the advertised service of $200. I will never use this service and call a trustworthy plumber for future work.

Replaced all the pipes under/to the kitchen sink.

Since we had used My Hunny Do several months ago to do a bathroom renovation and been so completely satisfied with their work, we immediately contacted them again yesterday later afternoon when we realized we needed a new hot water heater. It was a 50-gal, tall, gas water heater. We called them yesterday evening, at their request sent photos of the old heater and its location in the utility closet, and within an hour they called back with an estimate. After our getting our verbal okay they went out and acquired the new heater immediately so as to be be ready to start bright and early today. A two-man crew arrived about 8:30 this morning, just as promised, and by noon they had completed the work, which involved carefully carrying the very old, very heavy old heater out through several rooms of the house and taking it away. They made no mess through the house while they did that, and they left absolutely no messes behind in the utility closet or elsewhere. The crew was polite, friendly, intelligent, and communicated well. Since then however he has just provided for other projects of ours kiss-off bids at absurd prices (3x what we ended up paying), and we would not want to deal with him again.

I had a small leak underneath my kitchen sink and I wanted to have my garbage disposal replaced. I called John on 11/25 and we spoke for about five minutes. I told him what I was looking for and he said that he was in the car and asked me to email him. I sent him an email within the hour. I specifically mentioned that it was low priority and could wait until after Thanksgiving. Being close to the holiday, I figured it would take him a few days to get back to me and I was fine with that. A week after my initial email, I sent John a follow-up email saying I hoped he had a good Thanksgiving and asking if he was available to help me out. I thought maybe with the holiday, my email had gotten lost in the cracks. Fast forward two weeks and I still have not received any response. It's very disappointing; I specifically chose My Hunny Do because they were a Super Service Award winner in 2011. I hope that other don't have the same experience I had.

2 weeks after replacing the toilet kit for the toilet in my rental property, there is a leak. I called up the company and told John the issue. He got defensive right away even though I wasn't being accusatory. I just laid out the information - I did not include my tenants' thoughts that the job may not have been done properly or the part might have been low quality. I won't jump to conclusions but I'm just relaying what happened in my case. If there was another issue with the toilet that they noticed, I would have appreciated being told about it. However, I'll assume this issue was undetectable. I do believe they are honest just from my gut instinct so I'm not questioning that. What initially dropped my rating before this second toilet issue is the fact that I requested an itemized receipt twice from the original job. however, after my credit card was charged, i never got a response. after I requested they go out and check out the toilet again, they say they have no record of the original job being done. I received a credit card receipt via email from them for that work and my credit card was charged. Needless to say, after realizing how irresponsible a business practice that is, I quickly called another plumber after more Angie's List research. I'm not saying this company is terrible and for people who have established a relationship with them, i'm sure it works out well. but for people with one-off issues who have to go by angie's list or the phonebook, having no record of my payment of $467 made me uneasy. After calling around to find someone else, I realized that I really appreciate companies that pick up the phone and state the name of the company or at least the name of the individual, i.e. "this is jack", not just "hello". as a service provider, there's got to be some baseline standards. For many of us who own property and have to handle our tenant's issues and payment over the phone, it is important to feel comfortable with phone transactions. I hesitate to write this review because I'm sure I will be attacked. Notice how other providers respond to negative reviews (in a professional manner, any other type of response is a red flag and should have been a red flag to me in the first place).

It was broken, now it works. I bought a deal for $200 of plumbing work for $119 but then had to pay $75 additional for parts. I guess that's ok---don't really know if that's a good price or not. Everything else was exactly as expected.

He was wonderful. Faucet works great. Price seemed just a little high. But cheaper plumbers have caused us big problems in the past.
