Description of Work: The handyman tried to fix a clogged garbage disposal. He had it running, but then the machine never stopped so he had to plug off. He concluded the switch is off, so he stated he had to call an electrician come to attend to the issue. First off, it's very weird that the switch goes nuts all of a sudden. Much after he left, we tried the disposal and the switch was working fine. I am glad that we don't have to pay stupid extra money for unnecessary job. I am completely angry with this service man who is unprofessional and tried to charge more service. I cannot believe he is on Angie's list and service awarded. It's a falst advertisement. This is absolutely the worst EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN THE UNITED STATES. LATELY I HAVE NO LUCK FINDING A GOOD GUY FROM ANGIE;s LIST, If that happen again, I WILL UNLIST MYSELF AND NEVER COME BACK.

Description of Work: I chose the big deal for help in repairing a leaky sink and running toilet. Upon payment, it was expecting to be contacted within a few days. After a couple of days angies list sent an email follow-up to check if an appointment was made. I responded I hadnt heard anything from My Hunny Do. The email mentioned it would reach out to the provider in which no contact was made. The matter was progressively serious in nature and a competitor was called for the job.

Description of Work: Hi -- I hired Walter to conduct some finish carpentry work on a Brazillian Cherry Book Shelf that I custom made myself. The carpentry was pretty tricky and only an expert could have handled it. Fortunately Walter was not just an expert but a master. Walter did leave my unit with a couple of his assistants and they did not perform the job as well as I wanted so Walter had them depart and came back next weekend to personally finish the job. I was provided with a $300.00 discount because of the issue. They were very apologetic. Bottom line. High degree of professionalism. Didn't charge me until I was 100% satisfied with the job. & The 2 men running the company truly are masters! Thanks so much. I'd definitely hire again.

Description of Work: Called to get an estimate for ceramic tile work in two of my bathrooms but was told they do not do estimates for "small" jobs. He would send someone out to do the work for $79/hour but could not tell me how long it would take. He then informed me that I was too far away from his shop, which was listed in Clfton, VA. He said they were actually in Alexandria so the travel was too far. Bad info for his business and a bad attitude towards the customer, made me decide not to use this business.

Description of Work: Joel from Hunny Do Handyman rechaulked a bathtub, the kitchen sink and fixed a leaking faucet in the bathroom. He did a perfect job with the rechaulking projects - really neat and no mess. We ran into one issue with the faucet, he discovered that a part needed to be replaced and said he would run to the hardware store. Turns out this part is not so easy to locate and he spent almost 2 hours going to several locations looking for it (high end faucet). He let me know after he came back and said it might take a week to get it ordered. I was able to locate the part quickly from a store in MD and drove to get it. When I ran this errand, he took his lunch break. He was able to fix it quickly after I came back. He said it would be 4 hrs charge minus 10% Angie's list discount. My only wish was that we weren't charged the same rate for him driving around looking for the part. I didn't give an A for responsiveness & punctuality because it took several attempts to get someone to call me and he was a little late that morning. But that being said, the quality of the work was more important - and that he gets an A+ Joel was very professional and polite. I would not hesitate having him back to do more projects.
