We are using them because they are full service; we went to the showroom and we were able to pick things out. We were able to match the cabinetry with the granite, fixtures and tile. Other contractors wanted me to pick out everything and they would put it in. I'm not very good at that and I wanted somebody to help me along and give me an ideal of how it would look. I really appreciated that. We plan to use them again for another bathroom.

Ultimate Remodel was referred to us by a colleague of my husband's who had used their services recently. We had already engaged in discussions with other providers who had provided general quotes. When we first contacted Tunch, he immediately answered his phone and we spoke live, not the experience with the prior providers we engaged. His professionalism impressed from the very first conversation. He worked with our time frames and was able to move things quickly while paying attention to all of our needs and special requests. One of the most impressive things about the experience with Ultimate Remodel is the timing. From beginning to end, Tunch made sure the actual construction time is reduced to the absolute minimum by having all needed items coordinated just right and our family could go through the least interruption possible. One of the things we most appreciate is that Tunch worked with us to keep us within a budget we established and it was very clear what financial impact our decisions would have. Once settled, the price and payment terms were established and clear with no surprises. Another great benefit in working with Tunch is that he took on coordinating all items for our remodeling job - even the ones that we selected from dealers he was not working with. This made it possible to time everything just right for the installation and took the stress out for us. The actual work was performed meticulously with great attention to detail. The same small team worked day in and day out with total sense of owning the project. Pictures were taken at the end of each day to document progress and for quality control. For us, this project started by addressing a concern with mold and a great deal of our concern was about building the walls and floors so we do not develop the issue in the future. That was accomplished. What we see every day, however, is a beautiful spa-like setting, meticulously done. We are so pleased that we are planning to re-do the other two full baths this coming summer. We would strongly recommend Ultimate Remodel to our friends who are embarking on remodeling projects.

I fired two contractors before we found Tunc and Ultimate Remodel. I wanted our townhome completely gutted and done to very exact standards (and I'm a bit of a control freak) and I wanted it done by someone we could trust because my husband and I both work so we're gone most of the day and have two dogs in the house. I knew just about exactly what I wanted in every room but when I wasn't positive, Tunc was always happy to meet us at the tile (or any other) shop to talk about design ideas or experiences he had with various products, good and bad. He has a great eye for design and wasn't too shy to say when he didn't think something agree with something, but even if he didn't agree, he did exactly what I asked. We selected high-end or mid-high products for the house, the guidance we gave Tunc was this is our "now" house, not our "dream" house and he helped us stay at that price range. I gave him a "B" for Price ONLY because he isn't going to be the cheapest contractor you can find. He has a great deal of pride in his work and won't do a shoddy job and cut corners just to win a bidding war. He does quality work to the best of his ability, sticks to timelines very well and delivers what he promises (or fixes it if he hasn't) and that isn't done by the lowest bidder. (We did a lot of the demolition ourselves to lower our costs, and I just enjoy the stress release of knocking down walls and cabinets with my Saturday morning coffee.) I had difficulties with contractor #1 and #2 not really understanding technology. One sent estimates and drawings from his wife's work computer because he "wasn't much for email". WHAT?! Tunc has an iPad that never leaves his side with dozens of photos of his previous work to help give you ideas, show you his quality, etc, on the spot whether he's in your home or at a store picking out tiles. He's very prompt returning emails - except on Sunday which he prefers to reserve for his family. He DOES come out and do estimates on Sundays in some cases. Our work was spread out over a year because we wanted to minimize the shock to our savings account. We gave Tunc our list of priorities by room and worked out a renovation plan that made sense without calling for a home loan or living in a construction zone for months on end. So, as you can see, I'm a fan. Trustworthy, quality work, flexible. My husband and I are planning on buying an investment property soon and Tunc will be the first guy we call after closing.

Ultimate Remodel was recommended to us by our interior designer who has worked with Tunc on a number of different projects in the past. We were impressed with Tunc's design ideas and his honesty in letting us know what will work and what wouldn't within our budget. He immediately made us feel very comfortable and worked around our busy schedules to meet with us and answer questions, sometimes as early as 6:15am and answering phone calls as late as 8pm. The ultimate remodel showroom is very comprehensive - from tile samples, to cabinets to bathroom fixtures, lighting and granite/marble samples. We were able to pick and choose our materials in one visit! This "all inclusive package" made it possible for the whole project to be completed well within our estimated date. Start to finish, our entire project was concluded in just over a month. This time frame included ordering custom made cabinets that couldn't have been ordered until after the initial demolition (celing and floor) was completed. Our project stayed 100% within budget, no surprise charges, despite the fact that our house is almost 70 years old. The entire Ultimate Remodel team was extremely courteous (even our next door neighbors commented on how polite they are), efficient and skilled. We are 100% satisfied with the quality of their work and completely trusted them in our home. We are still in a state of awe at the craftmanship and quality of the work in both the kitchen and the bathroom. Tunc and his team more than exeeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to use them again for future projects or recommend them to our friends. We are extremely happy with our "new home", thanks to Ultimate Remodel.

From the selection process down to the last detail, it has gone beautifully and just as planned. Each worker arrived as scheduled and performed professional work, leaving a clean area from day to day. They were clearly knowledgeable about the work they were doing and were efficient and polite as well. High quality materials were used and the end result is just beautiful, such an improvement over the dated bathroom we had.

Excellent counsel was provided to assist me in the selection and placement of all materials, fixtures, paint etc.. Tunc was extremely patient with me as we worked together to make final selections. What I ended up with was entirely different than what I thought I wanted. I couldn't be happier with what I got. Tunc visited my home daily to check on progress and quality of work. When I had questions, I emailed Tunc. He responded almost immediately. I was told the job, excluding installation of granite countertops and glass shower door, would take two weeks. It was completed in less time. I was told prior to the commencement of the job that measurements for the granite countertops and shower door would not be taken until everything else had been completed. This was to be certain that the fit would be exactly right (which it was). Workers were on time every morning and worked 10 to 12 hours each day. Workers cleaned thoroughly each night and made sure plastic sheets were firmly in place each morning to protect surrounding rooms and closets from construction dust. The quality of the work was exceptional. No touch up was required.

WOW!!!! From day one of talking to Tunc, he immediately made us feel comfortable and confident that we wanted Ultimate Remodel to remodel our bathroom. My wife and I felt like we already knew what we wanted and how we wanted it done. After talking with Tunc, we realized we had a rough sketch of what we wanted and needed help in filling in a lot of the details. Tunc was great at going through many different scenarios with us, showing us pictures along the way, and even meeting us at a tile store to select the specific tile we wanted. Once the work started, the crew showed up on time every day, they kept our house clean and extremely professional. Tunc did a great job of maintaining constant communication throughout the project. The remodel was completed on time and on budget. We would work with Tunc and Ultimate Remodel again.

My husband and I have a 20 year old town home that, with the exception of the master bath, had been updated. After discussing it and researching our options for over a year, we finally decide to move forward with the master bath remodel. When we initially met with Tunc from Ultimate Remodel, we had a plan in mind. I should mention that we also sought out input and bids from several other contractors before meeting with Tunc. At our first meeting, Tunc made many design suggestions (none of the other contractors had), some of which would provide cost savings, others that would just make the room more aesthetically pleasing. Although Ultimate Remodel was not the least expensive bid, we made a decision to go with them because of their professionalism and follow-up. The material selection process was simple and easy since everything was either in the Ultimate Remodel showroom or within walking distance. Once the work began, the team showed up on the day and at the time Tunc said they would. Throughout the duration of the project, everyone who showed up at our house was friendly and professional. They also did a great job of cleaning up each day before leaving. The project was completed according to the schedule that was initially agreed upon... and it's absolutely GORGEOUS!

I have contractor anxiety. I had another bathroom remodeled three years ago and it was a nightmare. It has taken me this long to move forward from that experience. After getting two other estimates my husband overheard a woman at his gym talking about her kitchen remodel, that is how we found Ultimate Remodel. One of the other contractors, we were interested in,didn't even look at the folder of ideas I had collected,big mistake, at least he would have known my style. Tunch looked at my ideas and made some suggestions, and it all worked out very nicely. The crew showed up the day they were supposed to,on time, were very professional and finished the job ahead of schedule. If Tunch wasn't here and a question came up he returned my call promptly and always asked how things were looking to me. Overall It was an excellent experience working with Ultimate Remodel.

We were very pleased with the punctuality and the cleanliness of the workers. They arrived promptly around 8:30 and worked non-stop until the evening. The results are lovely. Tunc had told me 2 months earlier the start date for the job and he did begin that day. They were finished within 10 days. It was very painless-- high praise for any re-modeling!

Tunc and his team did an outstanding job remodeling areas of our home. We truly love the work they did and have no complaints about our experiences with Tunc when it came to deadlines, appointments or any special requests. They started the job in mid-September and finished by the beginning of November. We are very happy with the final product and we highly recommend Ulitmate Remodel.

Tunc and his team did a great job on our master bath remodel. Everything looks great! We were able to schedule a free estimate within 24 hours of the initial phonecall. Tunc was right on time and we had an estimate via email a few days later. The $9K quote for the remodel included all new tiling, new shower, new vanities, granite countertops, new fixtures and frameless shower doors. Compared to some of the other quotes we received, we felt this was very reasonable. The showroom in Alexandria has lots of choices and picking out our material was a pleasant experience. Work started a week later and the majority of the work was completed the following week ahead of schedule with no issues. They did need to come back to tweak a few things here and there but they were very timely and efficient. I was very happy with the quality and detail of their work. Tunc's responsiveness was outstanding! He obviously cares about his customers and the quality of his work. His team including the granite and the glass guys were polite, professional and good at their trade. Overall, a very good experience.

We have an older house with a small 5x7 second floor bathroom. The bathroom was pink and had never been updated it was almost a deal breaker when it was purchased. Other estimates for this small project were far more expensive. We had been seeing the Clipper magazine ad for awhile and we liked how direct the advertisement was. He does tile, flooring, vanity, granite counter, fixtures and tub for $5900. We had Ultimate over for the free estimate and like how friendly Tunc was, comfortable with pets. He said the job was easy and could be done in a week. We picked out tiles and fixtures. The included options for the $5900 bathroom were of a higher end than I initially thought. He was helpful and patient as we looked through many options. Once things were decided, the work began nearly immediately and the project was completed before the Holiday in just 3 days. The tile job was clean I painted to save on some of the cost. I would recommend Ultimate Remodel to anyone with a bathroom project not looking to spend 10 thousand plus for a small bath. We plan to give our kitchen job to them as well.

Both projects went seamlessly. We had our master bathroom remodeled and the marble tiling in our foyer redone from water damage. The owner of the company came the day after I had requested an estimate and had one emailed over by COB the same day. He has a convenient showroom to pick out the fixtures and tiles you want. The price was extremely fair and the work was exactly as expected/requested. They even did a few small extra projects around the house that would have required me hiring and scheduling a handyman. Men were very professional and ALWAYS on time (sometimes early), which is extremely rare to find. Both jobs were finished ahead of schedule. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism with the company.

My wife has two traits that make it difficult to do any project; she wants the perfect color and design and, she is indecisive. So when I set out to select a contractor to finish remodeling my master bath and totally gut and redo our guest bath, I was challenged to get someone that would do the perfect job and had the background and experience to consult us on design and color. After interviewing a couple of contractors we found Tunc from Ultimate Remodel. From the very beginning, Tunc made himself extremely available by email, phone and in person whenever we needed him. He walked us through the design process and made cost effective suggestions for faucets, tile and fixtures. He actually met us one Saturday at a tile shop to help us select the tile (something I dreaded doing, given my wife?s propensity to change her mind). I liked the fact that he priced the contract with allowances for all of the fixtures, this way we had control over what we selected and where we bought it. It also allowed him to price the job competitively. At this point I should note, it also made us responsible for having the items on hand when the job started?in retrospect, I would consider this important. The first day was impressive; they came in on time and immediately put down plastic rug protectors and dust barriers in the hall. There was a team dedicated to each bathroom and by 6 pm they had a remarkable amount of work finished. One of my main worries was the framing and installation of a whirlpool bath that I purchased from Lowe?s. I wanted it done right! It was? Our first challenge was in dealing with the tile I had purchased several years earlier to finish my master bath?half the bathroom was already done with this tile. When I bought it, I thought there were enough accent and trim pieces, but I miscalculated and the tile was discontinued. With about 20 minutes of discussion, one of Tunc?s workers came up with a solution that used the accent tile for a fancy finish. Problem solved! Had he done it the way I had suggested, it would not have looked right and Tunc told me so. By the fourth day they had completed the master bath and partially through the guest bath only to encounter two problems. One, a mixing valve that I had bought and they installed was found to be defective after being tested and two; the vanity arrived with a cracked granite top. No problem on the valve?Tunc bought a new one at his expense and reinstalled it. On the vanity, Tunc took pictures of the damaged merchandise, sent them to me at my office and I forwarded them to the supplier. Inside an hour we had a new vanity being shipped at no charge. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Tunc and Ultimate Remodel. The work was done on time and on budget. At every step of the way during the project, Tunc not only met, but exceeded our expectations. And yes, most importantly, my wife is very happy with her two newly remodeled bathrooms and I can enjoy a whirlpool soaking after work.

I hired Ultimate Remodel because I hoped they would understand my concept of a European style bathroom, given their Turkish heritage. I decided to buy all fixtures on the internet, i.e. shower, toilet, vanity, faucets etc. because the recommended dealer (Ferguson) did not have what I was looking for and was too expensive. The contractor agreed and presented a fair contract. I trusted him enough to sign it right away and only then raised the questions (in writing) whether we needed a permit, which he declined (in writing). To find out about the license and insurance took me some phone calls but it turned out okay. I was a little bit nervous because he only provided parts of the information and only after I requested it twice. The work began exactly on the day that we agreed on. The workers were in time and did a good job for the first part. Major digging was done and it took a few days to replace the plumbing. The plumber came only in for a few hours at a time, mostly late in the afternoon, as did the tile guys. After the hole in the floor was closed nobody stayed at the job an entire work day anymore. Workers came only for a few hours at a time. One day nobody came and I figured the contractor has scheduling problems. He had mentioned before that he worked a commercial job where every day late would cost him a lot of money. When I eventually questioned the work progress he got irritated and blamed me for the delay because some of the things that I had ordered online had not come in. He explained that he couldn?t finish the job unless all parts and fixtures were there. I should mention that we had a lot of misunderstandings due to a lack of communication. To avoid any mistakes I always asked for his approval before I ordered parts online. This did not work well because he didn't take the time to look at the items and understand what my goal was. Nevertheless, everything he needed to continue was always there. For example, the toilet came in exactly in time when the wall and the floor were finished. Only the vanity had a long delay but this was known from the start and he assured me that it wouldn't be a problem to install it later. Instead of installing the toilet he constantly asked me where I wanted the towel bars and the toilet paper holder. I told him that I wanted this done at the very last. There was still plenty of work left to do but he insisted on the bars. He kept pushing until I finally told him that we do it ourselves. One day I received e-mail in which he declared the job finished and requests the final check. I was flabbergasted because he, the boss, had not been at the job site for over a week and without a final inspection considered the job done. I asked him in writing to please come to the house and look at the things that still needed to be finished or corrected. After a few days without response I sent him a detailed list with all the outstanding items such as the wobbly shower pan, that wasn?t embedded in anything and not sealed either. The shower door wasn?t installed correctly, the shower wall bracket wasn?t installed, the vanity sink wasn?t sealed, the vanity wasn?t leveled and the wall cabinet not hung. Besides the lousy paint job on door and window frames the corners of the mirror were chipped off. He insisted that it already came out of the box like this. We?ll never know. He finally agreed to eliminate the deficiencies. He sent his workers for a final time and they did a mediocre job putting in the bull noses on the shower walls. By then we were ready to let it go because this company was simply not able to deliver the workmanship that we expect from a professional contractor. I paid the final check and we finished the rest ourselves.

I had to have the plumbing redone and had a tile guy come in and repair what work was done by them. I had to pay an additional $4000.00+ to have repairs and to finish the work. They are not properly licensed in the state of Virginia and I acquired an attorney for consultation on how to handle my situation with them.
