The Angie's List Deal that we purchased from this provider was for a faucet installation which was performed. However, the primary reason that we bought the deal from this Angie's List provider was because there was a special incentive for additional work if purchased from the same provider. As part of the deal, the advertised incentive was that we would receive 5% discount off any additional work. However, THE GENTLEMAN PLUMBER representative, ANDY (the company MGR), refused to honor the incentive for the additional work we purchased which was to disconnect the old dishwasher and existing plumbing ($140 for 10 min of work), and to install the new dishwasher and the new garbage disposal (a $120 disposal we did not believe we needed). Instead ANDY sold me a new garbage disposal unit and gave me $20 off his price for the unit as "his discount". Even though we had an existing unit that was working fine, ANDY said it was no good and needed to be replaced. He said it wasn't worth keeping since we had purchased a new sink. On the day of installation ANDY was no where to be found. ANDY sent a different installer, CESAR, who was unaware of what ANDY had done. CESAR was a friendly Spanish man but it took him just shy of 2 hours to install the new dishwasher and the new garbage disposal with NO CHANGE TO THE EXISTING PLUMBING AT ALL. The cost was UNREAL .. 2 hours.. hourly rate was $130 x 2 = $260 plus $18 for hose, adapter, and trap. THE TOTAL WAS $278... I was astounded. CESAR also refused to give the advertised 5% discount stating that he did not know anything about a discount and did not have the authority to do it. When I called the office, the call taker KIM told me that the Angie's List deal had been changed after I bought my deal and that their Angie's List business representative had been told of this change. Nevertheless, I had been sold the Angie's List deal that included the 5% discount, but we did not receive it. Our calculations of the withheld discount amounts to approximately $21. We understand that $21 is not an inordinate amount of money, however, in principal and business professionalism, the refusal to honor the Angie's List deal, coupled with the perceived "prolonging of the job to increase the cost" aspect is just UNACCEPTABLE. It was disappointing.

Plumber who actually did the work was very polite and professional. Couldn't have asked for more.

The installer also explained that I would need a new water line going into the toilet tank, and explained why. He installed this as well, which was not at all expensive. Great job!

Leo was the person that came to install a new kitchen faucet. He was very professional and informative. Had it installed within an hour, hauled old faucet away and left the area completely clean. I will definitely use this company again and would recommend to others.

They were so good, they sent two plumbers! One after the other. Obviously a small scheduling mistake, but better two than zero in my book. The work was very clean, the gentleman was punctual, and the everything works very well. Thanks for the work!

Went well, but one faucet seems to have a crimp in the line so they are coming back tomorrow to fix that one. Guys were punctual, professional, and very pleasant. Cleaned up and left the work area neat and in good condition.

We requested a technician from the Gentleman plumber to resolve a garbage disposal related issue on August 17. The technician arrived on time, and quickly fixed our problem for a very reasonable price. We were very pleased with his service. It appeared that our disposal stopped working again, so we called the gentleman plumber back to the house a week later. While the technician was on route -- the disposal started working (just our luck!). Even though Andy drove all the way out here, he very generously did not charge us for this follow up visit. We were very pleased with Andy's professionalism and will absolutely use the Gentleman Plumber for future needs!

Andy showed up right on time and got down to it. He had told me it would be about an hour and a half, and it was just about exactly that. He was courteous and professional. He noted some small damage to our existing flange and swapped out some heavier-duty bolts and washers from the ones I had purchased, so there was a small additional charge, but I was glad to have it done right and that he had the right hardware when it was needed.

The provider was able to determine the problem was electrical rather than plumbing-related. He was prompt, available quickly, and charged me nothing for dropping by and checking it out. Will definitely call them again.

Arrived on time and completed the job quickly and w/out any mess or fuss. Price was the best of 5 other estimates I gathered and included not just the battery back up sump pump, but a brand new primary pump as well. Great deal and great service. Of course the payoff will only be deteremined the next time a storm knocks out the power and I need to rely on the battery back up. Stay tuned for my review of how this all works then.

Excellent service and value! Plumber called before arrival and arrived on time. Cheerful, friendly and thoroughly excellent plumbing service. Very good service for the $100 service charge to install a kitchen faucet. Clean and neat in work area. Thoroughly checked for any leaks when install was completed. Highly recommend this plumber for any plumbing needs.

I can't say enough positive things about this vendor! I bought a house a little over 2 years ago and the bathrooms have high-end bathroom fixtures that I came to learn are from a UK based fixture company. I started having problems with the downstairs shower fixtures and needed to find someone that was knowledgeable enough with these types of fixtures to help me with the repair. I have a contract with a home warranty company, and had hoped that I could get the cost of the repair work covered by the home warranty company. Some vendors get really frustrated with this type of proposition, but Andy Perkins at The Gentleman Plumber was extremely helpful and patient. First he ended up on multiple phone calls and email strings with the UK fixture manufacturer, trying to determine the root cause of the issue and what replacement parts would be necessary in order to fix the problem. Then he made time to go through the various hoops required with the home warranty company to get the work authorized ahead of time. Andy offered to come to the house and wave the initial visit fee as he wasn't familiar with the brand of fixtures, and wanted to come and take a close look in order to diagnose the problem and discuss with the manufacturer. After all the back and forth with the manufacturer and the home warranty company, when we finally were able to move forward with the repair work, Cesar did the majority of the work, with consultation from Andy. Both Cesar and Andy were very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. They will be at the top of my list for any plumbing work from here on out and I would highly recommend them!!

I called, Andy came by as soon as he could, and then figured out the solution. The problem started in the beginning of the horribly cold weather-- and he ordered the pump which arrived sooner than expected, and got it installed before the worst of the weather. And I no longer had to hold a hair drier to the kitchen sink.

Excellent...after 25 years on the OBX, I have never had my pipes freeze. I was definately not alone and, in spite of that, they were calm and responsive: offerring names of others who might be able to help sooner, staying in touch and giving pointers by text, and offerring essentially "on call" support if an emergency occurred before they could get there. In the end, no emergency occurred and they fit me in the follwoing day. I was surprised at how quick and efficient the entire process was. I do not know typical rates, so I cannot speak to the fairness of the price, but I had read their reviews on Angie's List and was also not in a position to be shopping. I do not feel like they were out of line and I am most appreciative of their service from start to finish.
