Great service as always. I’ve been using the Gentleman Plumber for many years and trust them to get the job done.

I called early in the morning and the person who answered the phone did not answer with the name of the business which I thought was unprofessional. However, he did give me an appointment that day. The plumber called and asked if he could come earlier than scheduled which I agreed to. He then arrived right on time. He figured out the problem, explained it to me, and fixed it. He was very nice and professional. The problem came when he said he had to ask his boss but he didn't think he could accept the Angie's List coupon for 5% off. The boss said he could not accept the coupon but he would give me a break on the price and charge me for less time. I appreciated that but I didn't think it was right that he wouldn't accept the coupon since it was advertised on Angie's List's website.

It went great. Incredibly easy to work with; very professional. The icing on the cake was the price. They beat everyone else out of the water.

This is a professional, reliable, honest company. We have used them for several different plumbing projects- everything from valve replacements to changing the mechanisms in our unique European brand toilets to finding and fixing a water leak. I would highly recommend them. We will continue to use their services.

In our initial correspondence with Andy, "The Gentleman Plumber," we explained an issue regarding banging pipes, but that it could not be replicated at will. Andy provided estimates for various potential fixes but NEVER indicated there was a charge simply for coming out to look at the issue. This is exactly why we went his company over others, as it says in their Angie’s List ad; FREE ESTIMATES. When the Tech came, he could not address the problem and appeared unknowledgeable. For example, he checked the static water pressure by hooking up a pressure-reading gauge to the bottom of the water heater. To our knowledge, water pressure should be checked by connecting the pressure gauge to either an outside hose bib, or the washing machine connection. At the conclusion of the unproductive visit, the Tech informed us that we would be charged for his time regardless, so we “may as well do something” and as such replaced the fill valve. Under no circumstances would we have ever hired The Gentleman Plumber to replace a fill valve for $142, as that is something we can easily do ourselves and cost ~$10 in material. The result was a $142 charge for a visit that did not diagnose the problem, did nothing to address the problem, and resulted in a fill valve replacement at the Tech’s warning that we would otherwise pay this fee for nothing at all. We subsequently expressed our dissatisfaction with the (lack of) result and charge. In response, Andy discussed the matter with us over the phone and email. Note- not once did he offer to inspect the issue in person or to have a knowledgeable Tech return to address the unresolved problem; a poor business practice by anyone’s standards. We were then forced to contact a second company. Mind you- we're not typically a fan of the bigger companies, but Michael & Son came out free of charge to look at the issue (as we thought the Gentleman Plumber was going to do) and very promptly addressed the problem and provided us a path to resolution. Not something Andy's company was able to do. We asked Andy to reconsider whether the “Gentleman Plumber” felt that the $142 charge we incurred was appropriate. His last response states that he is concerned that we are not satisfied, but does nothing to indicate he was willing to address this dissatisfaction. Instead, Andy blamed us for describing the noise incorrectly, though I’m fairly certain any other plumber would not rely solely on the owners’ speculation as to when/how/why/where the issue happens. What company relies solely on a customer’s description of a non-reproducible noise to address a problem? We requested Andy's full consideration of this matter and have received no response to date.

Excellent. On time, professional, and efficient. Removed the existing toilet, installed the toilet we supplied, and disposed of the old toilet. Great work from start to finish and would hire again for similar jobs. Will give consideration for other, related work in the future.

Very well. No problems the old toilet was removed and the new one put in. It was a wonderful experience. In and out in no time. I would definitely hire this company again.

The person who answered the phone was very nice and gave me an appointment the following day. She gave me an approximate price and agreed they would give me a 5% Angie's List discount. The plumber arrived a few minutes early and finished the job within 5 minutes. He listened to my explanation of the problem and showed me what needed to be replaced. He was very nice and professional. The cost was on the lower end of what was quoted so there were no surprises.

The two plummers arrived well prepared, they were professional, polite, and cleaned after themselves. I was pleased with their service.

After reading the reviews on Angies List, we contacted The Gentleman Plumber to replace a broken toilet. They were superb. Kim Carr responded to our Angie's List purchase very quickly and set up an appointment for exactly when we needed it. The plumber came at the appointed time and did an excellent job.

Cesar was on time, very professional, and personable. He went over the details of the work with me, and pointed out a potential installation issue with the proximity of the pressure relief valve to plumbing runs just above it, but ultimately was able to get the part out and replaced, even in the tight space. His work was exemplary in efficiency and cleanliness, and we were well pleased with the quality and price of the work performed. Next time we have a plumbing problem, I will definitely call the Gentleman Plumber, and would highly recommend them.

Aside from a minor mixup with getting us on their schedule (they were very apologetic and handled it immediately once they were aware), it went well. The new toilet functions perfectly. The cost was substantial, but getting things done properly often is costly. They also diagnosed an issue caused by a water heater installation that was not entirely done properly by another contractor.

Filler valves in two toilets failed the same day. Called The Gentleman Plumber since we have used their services before and were always pleased. Leo arrived a bit ahead of time. In replacing the filler valve in the first toilet the flapper valve assembly was found to be damaged. That's why the toilet was often "topping off" . Replacing the assembly required removing the tank. The second toilet was repaired in short order. Total time about one hour. Very professional.

He arrived on time, at the beginning of the time range, went right to work and was done and cleaned up in less than an hour!

Kim was very helpful, both on the phone and via email (she made sure the guys on the truck would have all the parts needed for the repairs). Marcos was great- very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions. The work was completed faster than expected and the work area was clean. I will definitely be calling them again with any plumbing needs!

The Gentleman Plumber was a pleasure to work with! Kim in the office was pleasant and efficient in setting up the appointments and especially in working around the date that we were having the cabinet installed in the powder room. She told us what additional supplies we could either buy ourselves or buy from them during the install. She also warned us to double check that the toilets arrived without being broken and indeed one was badly cracked. This saved us from an additional service call since we were able to replace it ahead of time. Cesar and Diego arrived on time as promised to do the work and were very professional. They did a fantastic job installing the toilets and faucet. They even went above and beyond when after removing one of the existing toilets, they discovered that the floor was very dirty underneath the old toilet, so without even being asked, they cleaned the floor before installing the new toilet. We were very happy with this company and will certainly call them again the next time we need a plumber!

The workers showed up on time and got to work. Since I had several projects, there were several workers, so they were done in 3 hours. The price using their coupon was good, but there was an upcharge to replace the faucet on the pedestal sink. They had to remove the sink and then reattach it to the wall. I was told when I scheduled that there would be an additional charge, but was not told that my $100 job would become an almost $300 job. Not sure I would have had them do that job if I had known it would be that much more. Not sure I would use them again because of that, even though they did good work.
