T J Fannon & Sons

We have two furnaces so something is always going wrong. We've used them several times and they have always sent a reliable person who fixed the problem on the first visit.

I called to find out if TJ Fannon and sons dealt with gas ranges. Although they do not provide services for this appliance, they were very helpful in referring me to a good contractor and provided some possible solutions for my situation. All in all they were very responsive and professional. If I have future work in this area, I would go with these guys.

I called TJ Fannon and Sons early in the morning. They were at my house by noon to inspect the air conditioner. They immediately diagnosed the problem and said they would be by the next day with a new motor. They said they had a gently used motor on the truck but that they didn't want to install it even temporarily and would only have done so if it had been a stifling hot day, to tide us over. They arrived the next day, again around noon, replacing the motor in less than an hour. We were impressed with their promptness, efficiency and work ethic. Would highly recommend them to anyone and would used them again without hesitation.

They seem to know what they are doing and their prices are reasonable for the oil. They are very responsive. I have a problem and they are there the same day or the next day for maintenance. There is no waiting.

Their prices are great. They have a great reputation. They were very thorough and responsive to all of my questions. They were very detail oriented.

Showed up on time for the estimate. Gave me a revised estimate for a higher SEER system promptly. Scheduled the work very quickly. Showed up on the scheduled date and worked hard installing the system in one day.

They were quite responsive to my call. They showed up on time and completed the work when they said they would. The finished job was satisfactory. I haven't encountered any problems with the new unit.

I called T.J. Fannon and one of the owners was out the next day to see what we needed. A proposal was emailed later that day or the next day. Once we made a decision to go with T.J. Fannon they were out within two days to replace the air conditioner. They were waiting in our parking lot in the morning for us to arrive. They started at 8:30 am and finished at 11:25 am. Everything ran smoothly with no surprises or change in pricing. They cleaned up when finished. They also sent another team, at installation time, to check out our other 4 condensers...this was for a maintenance agreement.

TJ Fannon did the estimate and we were very pleased with the price. They were able to come and install the unit about 1-2 weeks later and it works exactly as I expected. They had to drill through a brick wall to install the unit and through a concrete slab and go through our drywall in the basement in order to run the electrical hookup into the fuse box. The unit works well and Mr. Fannon was very professional. My two complaints were the drywall repair job they did was very poor. They had to rip out a medium sized piece of drywall in our finished basement closet to get to the fuse box, but they tried to repair it with plaster. I happened to have a handyman here on the same day and he had an extra piece of drywall they were able to use, which made it much better, but they really needed a few extra pieces. Additionally, they didn't paint over the drywall they replaced, they just left it. The fuse box is in a closet in our finished basement, so it's not something I need to look at every day, which is part of the reason I didn't insist they come back and fix it. However, it used to be a nice closet and now it looks more like a utility closet. They also didn't do a very good job cleaning up, particularly the drywall in the basement. Drilling through the brick to install the unit was very messy. Mr. Fannon was here when they kicked the project off and insisted someone go back to the office and get drop clothes (thank goodness I had no idea how messy it would be). That helped keep the mess down upstairs and was a big help. However, in the basement, I had plaster powder, drywall pieces and even some wet plaster that I had to scrape off the floor after they were gone. I think they use subcontractors for some of their drywall work. If you are having anything cosmetic repaired, insist that someone from Fannons comes towards the end and at the very end to review the work of the subs.

They were punctual and very quick to respond to our phone call. They were friendly, professional and polite. They gave an estimate and stayed within that estimate.

It went well. A serviceman came and cleaned our unit. He had to come back twice. He did a fine job, but he left behind some equipment. It seemed a bit expensive for 30 minutes of work with very little supplies.

They were very responsive. They gave us an estimate within a couple days after we called them. They showed up when they said they were going to. They did a good job. They were very professional. They did what we asked them to do. They cleaned up their mess. They also did a very nice follow-up.

Asked for two different quotes which were professionally done; first was a straight replacement, the second a re-sized system. They were very helpful in sorting out what I needed. Wound up with a smaller, more efficient unit and a much better air filter. The cost was the least of two other quotes. Installation went quickly, quietly and was cleanly done.

Three technicians worked for about 6 hours - in the heat. It was a dream. The techs were wonderful.

We got three quotes for the replacement and I thought that they did the best job of explaining what needed to be done and how they were going to go about doing it.

Tom Fannon was extremely helpful and patient in both explaining the workings of the A/C system and in helping us deal with the previous owners. Once the work was scheduled it didn't take too long to do, but it was a little difficult to get it scheduled (the carpenter doesn't work for Fannon so we were at his mercy schedule wise). The only issues that arose were with Fannon's carpenter, not the work by Fannon. The carpenter could have been more careful with our recently refinished, 160 year old floors and could have done a better job smoothing out the putty used to patch the walls.

The billing experience was not good. We had the work done in early March. In early April, they called us about why we had not paid our bill. We said that it had not been received. The next day (10 April 08), the bill came in one of those very flimsy all in one bill envelopes that looks like third class mail but is actually first class. Since we had told them to mail us another bill, they sent it out. It arrived on 12 April, with a finance charge tacked on for being late. I will never use them again because they are expensive, and I do not like their billing practices.

If there is ever an issue with anything the owner will come out to the house to review the problem and discuss the issue with you. I will continue to use them for future work and would most definitely recommend them to others.

The work went very well. I was particularly concerned that the associated plumbing and mechanical lines (vent and air ductwork, plumbing, gas, and A/C lines) were run as efficiently as possible to maximize open space in my cramped utility room. They were able to move the furnace into a small corner I requested, even though I doubted they'd be able to accomplish this installation. However, they accomplished it professionally. They honored my specific requests on how to run the various lines to minimize their footprint, even though not all of these requests were specifically negotiated upfront. I was very happy with their work and considered their price reasonable.

Very good. Fannon had the best price and was the most responsive of three companies we contacted, and we felt that they gave us the best advice.

They were a little slow at first -- an initial visit led to some question about whether they might have to replace the boiler. But they made a return visit and, after being informed of a repair quote received from another company, they promptly did the work and at a cost lower than the other company's quote.

They came out very promptly and got to work. I have used them before and they found the problem quickly and got it fixed. They are a little expensive but worth it for the service you get from them. They do a very good job.

I think they did an amazing job. Everything turned out really great. I have to say all thumbs up for their quality of work. Something else I have to add is about their responsiveness and how fast they work. They did the job in no time, which pleased me a whole lot.

It was the day of the big heat wave, so no one would come to my house because they were busy and I was not a contracted customer. Luckily, I found them and they came right away and were very professional. The filter hadn't been changed by the tenant.

They arrived on time and they were willing to work with me. The price that they gave was me very reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone in need of an air conditioner repair.
