They're the best company in northern Virginia. I'll stick with them. I won't use anybody else but TJ Fanning and Sons. They have people who are specialized in HVAC, most people that do service are not specialized in HVAC. If you purchase from them, they don't even bill you for two weeks to make sure it's totally perfect.

They are a great company to use in Old Town Alexandria because so many times the houses here have been retrofitted and have unique challenges and they have excellent an understanding on how to work with the homes and find solutions. I have been using them for two and a half years.

TJ Fannon and Sons replaced my furnace and air conditioner in August. It was a seamless project that started with a thorough free appraisal. The estimator gave me several options, allowing me to decide how much to spend. I thought all the options were reasonably priced, and went with his suggestion to include a large return downstairs to improve air flow. Good move. On site, the crew worked efficiently, always keeping me informed. Did a nice job of cleaning up, too. Thumbs-up for an HVAC company that, thankfully, does not include hard-sell as part of the service.

They’ll come out right away in an emergency. I called them and they fixed the problem that the other guy couldn’t.

I have used them for years. I have a boiler and they are very excellent in that. The fee includes a free service call and some parts are included. If I need service they will come right away. they'll come out if I have a problem and fix it. They have done and excellent job. They are very competent.

All of the technicians were very professional, punctual, and detailed oriented, everything was done in a timely manner. The technicians cleaned up after themselves and were very willing to discuss what they were doing. We will continue to use TJ Fannon and Sons from here on for all of our Heating and Cooling needs.

Technician came SAME day, was thorough and kind to our handicapped dog. he accidentally left a little oil soot on the stair runner. I left a VM and the owner called me back promptly the next day and sent a fantastic lady to clean the carpet thoroughly. We've used them for years to both service our furnace and purchase our oil. Would recommend them to anyone!

Quite simply, TJ Fannon and Sons is the best! In all my dealings over the last 25 years with Fannon and Sons, they have always provided me with excellent and responsive repair service and maintenance, and great options and very competitive pricing when replacing equipment. We lost heat during the huge 18+ inch January snowstorm and Tom Fannon and his staff did everything they could to help us. Our gas boiler that powered the radiators in the main part of our 110+ year old house died Friday night in the middle of the storm. By Sunday our house was cold and space heaters and were not able to keep the whole house warm. Mr. Fannon called me during the storm to tell me he received our emergency call and would have a repairman at our house as soon as streets were cleared and it was physically possible for one of them to make it to our house. Tom was true to his word -- on Monday his repairman arrived shortly after the snow plows came down our street. Once it was clear that my old boiler had seen its better days, at my request, Warren Lawrence, Fannon's Service/Installation Manager and Salesmen, came out the very same day and met with me and gave me all the repair and replacement options and costs and answered all my questions. Once I determined that a new gas boiler was the option I wanted to go with, Tom Fannon sent the new equipment and an installation crew the next day that not only dug out my driveway to get the new boiler into my house, they put down sand in the driveway to prevent slips and tarps down throughout the house to protect our floors. They treated my home and my family as if it were their own. All this Fannon and Sons activity was going on at my house when government offices and schools were still closed! Every member of the TJ Fannon team I dealt with was highly professional and terrific to deal with ...from the owners, to the customer service rep that answer the phones, to the salesman, to the repair technicians to the installers. The TJ Fannon staff takes pride in their work, provide excellent customer service and treat you like you are not only a part of their community but a member of their family. Ever wonder why T J Fannon's has been in business for 125 years. It's because they are a Company with integrity, have competent employees and do exactly what they say they are going to do. I recently needed to replace a wall mounted unit in our 50 year old home. The estimate for the replacement was $4,000. I had a 2nd estimate of $5,600 from a different supplier. The installation was flawless and the bill that I received was $3,595. How often does this happen? Prior to purchasing this home, I required that a new heating and AC system for our home. Fannon's was the contractor and after moving in Fannon's has continued to service our system without hesitation. They are a Five Star Company.

We got several bids to compare what needed to be done. The old system was 15 years old and we wanted to do this now rather than have an emergency where there would be little time to make a thoughtful decision. Fannon draped all the rugs in the house. They carried the new and old parts up and down four flights of stairs. They were thorough, efficient, knowledgeable, and neat. We were very pleased with the results. We highly recommend them.

It was awesome from start to finish. I woke up to NO hotwater on Tuesday morning. Let me back up a little, I knew my water heater was getting old and had done some prior research and decided I wanted replace it with an A.O. Smith Water Heater. Only a few dealers offered this brand, close to Woodbridge, according to the A.O. Smith website. Little did I know, my current water heater was going to totally stop working on Tuesday morning. I called TJ Fannon & Sons, and spoke with Warren at approximately 9:15am. I made my request for a 75 gallon A.O.Smith water heater. He quoted me a great price for a great unit. I loved the price and it included installation. He had his crew at my home in less than 30 minutes! The first crew came and prepared my home for the new water heater by draining the old one and surveying my area for installation. They also had to replace some aging pipes close to the water heater and did an awesome job, by the way, Warren called me to explain a slight increase in the quoted price, due to the additional work, which was understandable. I knew those pipes needed to be replaced. So this really worked out. The increase was minimal. Then the second team came and brought in my brand new 75 gallon A.O. Smith Water Heater (Gas) . It was up and running by 11am! The technicians explained all my new features and installed it better positioned, than the old one (48 gallon). They made my morning go a lot smoother. I really appreciate the constant communication from TJFannon & Sons. Warren explained the process. He let me know the technicians were on the way to my house, but they would not have the actual water heater, because he had another crew picking the water heater up from a location in Falls Church. So I knew what to expect, again, I appreciate that. Everything worked like clock work, the only change were the pipes, and he called me to explain this as well. He totally explained the reason for the increase. Of course I understood, their was no way he would have known about the pipes in my utility room. It was reasonable. I like being informed. TJFannon & Sons responded to my call and solved my problem super fast. They left the area clean and neat and hauled the old unit away. My neighbors never knew I had a problem. Just a note: I honestly had called another company prior to this one, but they were not very responsive and they quoted a price much much higher for the EXACT same water heater. The other company could not come to my house until later in the day, between noon and 1pm, was what I was told. TJFannon & Sons had FINISHED the job, BEFORE the other company could even come out to my house. Even with the additional price increase from my original phone quote, I still SAVED over $1000.00 from what this other company has quoted!!! I highly recommend TJ Fannon & Sons.
