Description of Work: I had the estimator out to provide me with a quote. The initial 400 blossomed quickly into 1500. I expected some additional costs and this was acceptable. On the day the work was scheduled to be performed I was told that they would need to change the scope again. The price then changed to 3000. This was more than I wanted to spend and at that point I got the feeling that it would probably continue in this manner and I was not interested in continuing.

Description of Work: Having a special deal of $99 for $200 worth we ended up paying $50 additional to a $250 billing statement. They were given all A's in their ratings. So we were satisfied overall with the service.

Description of Work: We signed up for the $99 for $200 Worth of Gutter Repair or Replacement with Metro Gutter And Home Services Inc on Feb 28. They were very hard to get a hold of but finally we were able to schedule a time for them to come out and look at our gutters. I took Monday morning, Mar 16th off from work to meet them. Their appointment was from 8 - 10. I call them at 8:30 Monday morning to confirm they were still on schedule. The receptionist said there had been a scheduling error and another person was now going to be coming out between 2 - 4. I told her that was unacceptable that I didn't want to take the entire day off from work. They managed to send someone else who arrived at 9:30 and provided me with an estimate of $1030 for repairing the back gutter and pipe covers on top of the roof. I called Affordable Quality, another contractor listed on your site, and they come out and provided a quote for $550 to do the same work. Needless to say we will not be using Metro Gutter and would rate them a C at best for their customer service and overall price fairness. When I called them back to let them know we would not be doing any of the work in the estimate they provided, they told me to call Angie's List and ask for a refund of the $99 we spent on this coupon. Please advise if you will honor a refund since the work we were hoping to have done was considerably overpriced and not at all a discount or super deal.

Description of Work: They responded quickly to my inquiry, gave me a fair written estimate and performed the work on-time and as expected. There was a little minor damage, but not to my house. They accidently pulled up some rubber garden boarder and bent my gas grill a little by trying to pick it up with parts that were not strong enough to support the unit's weight. Yet, these were minor and repairable. I would still use this company again.
